One of my favourite pubs, lovely in every way, staff, service exclent, such a fab atmosphere, very homely and comfy been coming here for at least 35years and i still love and have treasured memories x 💙🧡💜

A great pub which has been passed from owner to owner over the years. Finally the LR is being run like a proper pub. Good atmosphere, good beers, also a decent beer garden / smoking area. Top notch!

We popped in for a drink why we were waiting for a table booked across the road, we initially went here as my younger daughter was with us who is 15 Y/O and at even 5.30pm on a Saturday no where would let us in with her for a drink. I will definitely go back as our other daughter is a Uni student so we are there all the time

Often stop here for a drink or 3 when visiting Nottingham. Friendly staff and service and nice place to drink

I live in Rotherham and travel every few weeks to see my friends. One of the bonuses is a nice drying in this cosy pub. If I don’t come to The Lord Roberts, I feel I’m missing out. Superb service in a nice environment with a central location and a refreshing pint of Amstel on tap. Love it

Absolute belter of a boozer! Always a warm welcome from the staff and excellent products. Robert the pub dog is an added bonus as well! Great outside space and interior decor is that of a proper locals place! 10/10

I love this bar. It's cosy, immaculately kept with a great selection of drinks. The staff are fun and friendly and the quiz nights are legendary. I've met a lot of great people in this place and it's easy to strike up a conversation if you like to chat or just relax with a pint if you want some quiet time. Weekends are lively and fun with a good mix of people. All bars should be like this

The Lord Roberts is one of my favourite places in Nottingham. It’s a wonderful space to meet friends, to read on your own or go for ‘just the one.’ The bar staff are very friendly and drinks excellently priced. Can’t recommend it enough!!

Craig and his team create an amazing atmosphere! Love coming and feel so welcome every time, good value and always a good pint!

Great pub with a fab atmosphere and feel to it, it helps by having some of the friendly staff in town. Also nice to be able to take the 4 legged friends in for a pint whilst they curl up and go to sleep.

Cracking little place that gets very busy. Nice outdoor area and clean and tidy. Staff are really friendly and the prices are good with a strong selecrion of drinks. Can order food to be delivered here when you get peckish. Accessible entrance from the street, though there is a step down to the beer garden (can access through rear gates if requested). Fresh in the warm weather, cosy in the winter. Highly recommended.

This is a gem of a place in Nottingham. Excellent service, great range of drinks, cosy in the colder weather, plenty of outdoor space in the warmer weather. Food can be ordered from fantastic local suppliers. Gets busy for their regular events (quiz, etc). Can be great for a quiet drink earlier in the day (I take my laptop for work over a cheeky afternoon pint!). It can be great for couples, and it can be great for groups. Generally, it is a great all-rounder pub, which is highly recommended. Even get visits from celebrities throughout the year! Whilst there isn't parking onsite, there is plenty within a few minutes' walk. There are also plenty of public transport links in the vicinity, including busses and trams and a local taxi company base, just around the corner. Prices are good compared to a lot of places in town and for the atmosphere, service quality, and location - you get value for money. Highly recommended place

Good beer. Very tidy. Interesting customers.

The place was buzzing during the Pride event when we visited. Despite being busy bar service was fast. There was a fantastic deejay blasting music and everyone was having a great time.

Every time I walk into this bar I’m greeted by lovely staff and a very welcoming vibe. Nothing is too much trouble, it’s clean and friendly. There’s a wide range of beers, wines and spirits. Never seen any trouble when we’ve been in. The beer garden on the back is absolutely lovely. Well done the lord roberts

Once again the female bar manager with long dark hair has made me feel unwelcome with her curt attitude and side eye. She really needs to go on a customer service skills course. In February when I last came here she made me and my group feel rushed at closing time by telling us to finish our drinks every 5 minutes and sighing. Tonight I've gone in at 10.10pm and she said the bar was closed. One of the other bar staff at the end of the bar mimicked "what you're not open?" and he started laughing at me. Really..is this the customer service the Lord Roberts strives for? RE: REPLY, IM SIRE SHE WAS SHOCKED BECAUSE IVE POSTED WHAT HAPPENED. IF YOU LOOK AT THE CAMERA FOOTAGE AGAIN I CAME IN WITH ANOTHER MALE, WENT TO THE BAR YOUNG FAIR HAIRED MALE STOOD FACING ME BEHIND THE BAR - HE SAID NOTHING BUT SHE WAS BEHIND THE BAR WITH HER BACK TO ME, AND THE GUY WHO CAME OUT WITH THE COMMENT (YOUNG FAIR CURLY HAIRED)WAS STOOD TO THE RIGHT OF ME WITH ANOTHER GUY AT THE END OF THE BAR. IM NOT LYING AND GOT NO REASON TO MAKE THIS UP. WHATS ANNOYING IS THAT STAFF CAN TREAT CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS AND ARENT HELD ACCOUNTABLE ONCE A COMPLIANT COMES IN. IM ONE PERSON, BUT AS A COMMUNITY WE GOT TO ASK WHY THE GAY SCENE IS IN DECLINE WHEN WE ARE TREATING OUR OWN WITH A POOR ATTITUDE.

This place is amazing. Very lgbtq+ friendly and lots of drag shows and great atmosphere

Great little pub with a cracking venue downstairs (Prohibition). I come here for Mullraum which is a fantastic little esoteric techno night hidden away in the basement of this Hockley pub. Bar staff are also lovely and the smoking area is a good size. Drinks are very reasonably priced too. Recommend!

I have attended all the Deviant events so far and the second one that was hosted at Prohibition @ The Lord Roberts was incredible, it brought back the feelings of the great gay clubs I used to go to in Brighton years ago, fun and safe, no trouble just people enjoying themselves and feeling free to dance the night away, Martin was a sensational DJ and got everyone moving, Craig is a great landlord with vision and hope these events grow and continue to find a home at the Roberts. Can’t wait for the next event, highly recommended. 💕🪩

First time visiting and would definitely return. A lovely , very comfortable, good atmospheric pub......I could have stayed for the duration on their comfortable chairs, but was on a mission with the family to visit many more 😉. P.S. can't speculate on the food as it was just drinks.

Some of the staff very rude and judging customers for no reason one charged me £560 for a pint of Guinness a few weeks ago instead of five pounds the next pint it was five pounds the correct price when i pointed this out to her she said do you want your sixty pence back in a not to nice way, i said of course and put it in the charity box on the bar since then her attitude is disgusting no wonder the place is empty most of the time will never go in this place again.

Really good to have the Lord Roberts back as the vibrant, welcoming pub it used to be. Craig, Stevie and staff are exactly what this place needed to bring back a sense of community, and on top of everything the real ale is kept well. Really need to get here more often

I visited on Sunday after a long walk around the streets trying to find somewhere nice to have a drink! I was drawn in by the LGBT flags, and the cost atmosphere. We only had drinks, but they were very reasonably priced, and it seemed like a real cosy and welcoming setting! It was quiet (again probably because it was a Sunday), but there is plenty of space to sit. I was hoping for cocktails however they don't make them, so I settled for shots instead. Staff were nice, LGBTQ+, and a great location. I will definitely go back if I am in Nottingham again.

Friend and I, with 3 small and perfectly behaved little dogs, dropped in here on a Friday, early evening. Cold and hungry we wanted good food and really fancied the place opposite that does great burgers, but no dogs allowed. Imagine the delight when we were given the menu at the bar and it was for the place across the road! They walk your order across the road and the pub plates it up and serves it to you. WOW. Good idea in my books. The food - we had breaded Camembert cheese as a starter (this is delicious). Then rather boring I realise - we. It’s ordered the blue cheese burger. Which was also really tasty and hot. The service - we seem out meal arrive from over the road in a brown paper bag and it arrived, still in its heat saving cardboard boxes was on our table a couple of minutes later. Can’t fault it and I wish more places would do this. Imagine ordering from the multitude of delicious and varied food outlets within a stones-throw of a cosy pub and it arriving on your table minutes later. Hats off to this arrangement and well worth a try when in Nottingham. Recommended.

I thought it was a bit strange that they didn't serve chips, but the fish finger sandwich was nice.

It was ok, clean and tidy place. Bit pricy all things considered and food orders seemed to take a very long time. Had a regular trade and was fairly lively. Not necessarily somewhere would go again as a first thought in that area.

Very busy and very friendly pub. I'll return for sure.
