Beautiful put, great atmosphere pool table and music nights, not tried the food.

Avoid if you have kids. After serving us drinks for ourselves and our kids, we were told that we had to leave very quickly due to licencing restrictions. We weren't allowed to have refunds for our drinks but we also weren't allowed to enjoy those drinks.

What an awesome pub! Good old fashioned and low-key facade and then a really nice friendly place inside with a great selection of drinks.

We come here on a regular basis and have also booked the function room on multiple occasions. We like the pub itself but the staff have always been rude and unfortunately it is now to the point that we will not be returning. We went there the evening of Saturday 5 October and the bar staff were patronising, condescending, impatient, bitchy and passive aggressive. They were unpleasant to multiple people in our group on several different occasions and it was just a very strange and uncomfortable experience. We have spent a lot of money here over the years but the way they speak to customers is really poor. I will add that I have only ever had pleasant interactions with the landlord and this place has a lot going for it but unfortunately the staff (particularly those on shift last Saturday) have really let the place down and are putting regular customers off returning.

I recommend this place. I was looking for Real Cider, and they had a great selection - something that is fairly rare, even for establishments claiming to.

Proper good pub. A pub with a lively but friendly atmosphere and excellent beer. Independently owned and run and nicely rough around the edges. As I said, a proper pub.

Amazing pub!! Great selection of cask and keg. Homemade sausage rolls. So many interesting decorations to take in in every nook and cranny. Must visit if you're in the area.

I only popped in for a quick pint but wished I could have stayed longer. A lovely traditional welcoming pub with a great selection of beers.

I adore this pub! A real pub with a great selection of drinks, friendly staff and even a pop up kitchen from my favourite vegan street food vendor which was a great surprise!

Community driven pub, with a selection of locally brewed ales, and an independent vegan kitchen up top (open in the evenings). Staff are friendly, happy, and proud of where they work. Lots of artwork and thingamajigs on display, as well as posters for community events (some hosted there). It's a progressive space with a nice traditional pub aesthetic. There's a decent sized beer garden on the roof, and a pool table in one of the upstairs rooms. If you like to meet new folk or have a chat with a stranger, the people are usually very friendly and welcoming, and it's easy to mingle in the beer garden. It's a great venue for a lively friday or saturday night, especially with good weather, but can equally lend itself to a quiet lowkey pint at other times.

Oh wow - what a fantastic pub, multi levelled and even has its own roof terrace. Terrific service of some of the more obscure cask ales. A really friendly pub with both chatty staff and customers. A pleasure to call in for a pint.

A pretty nice and local place, with a very good vibe! It is common to listen to traditional music and in general it is a very nice pub far from the hustle and bustle of the center near the center!!

Proper local boozer, great beer selection, and staff. Does cold food like sausage rolls and tex mex of an evening, but it's vegan, so I have not tried it, but it smells and looks good

Great little multi-roomed pub, great service and atmosphere, plus a cracking selection of real ales. Dogs seem to be welcome as well. I can't comment about food as I didn't have any. Well worth seeking out this gem of a pub.

Almost 9 years and as many iPhones ago now John saved my phone with a bag of basmati rice. Thankfully my most recent trip was far less eventful but just as enjoyable! What a lovely pub and what a great range of Ales. A rare gem in the world of cookie cutter pubs, this place as it’s own unique charm and a clear passion for what it does! Excellent pub about 15 minutes walk from Nottingham Railway Station. Eight cask beers on handpump when I visited including a stout plus a range of real ciders. Lots of outdoor seating upstairs some of it covered. The pub is known locally as the King Billy.

In my opinion one of the best real ale pubs in Nottingham's Town centre, with at least 8 hand pulls 4 kegs numerous ciders, and at least 2 lagers plus a fridge full of cans, very oldie worldie, with every surface covered in pictures or objetdart usually very busy

It's a very good pub with a good atmosphere and lovely beer also nice snacks.

Just had an amazing night here - best Mexican food I've ever had ( Carolina's Chilli ) and the trad music was brilliant - great drinks and amazing service.

Came for the Carolina's Chilli food which was unbelievable. Stayed for the great beers and the music.

Not a bad little place to be fair, upstairs on the terrace was better than being in the bar.

The King Billeh! If your after a nice bitta booze this is the place, loads of quality ales on which you can't find round easily. Bangin' little pub, fantastic smoking area upstairs, pool table, good crowd. Worth going in. 👍

Thursday 28th September 2023 This is a fabulous Nottingham real ale house amongst many in this area. 7 hand pumped exceedingly good interesting ales and 1 good hand pumped cider I would advise all real ale drinkers to vome here and drink in this ultra friendly, well run beer emporium

This is such a friendly all inclusive pub. All the staff are friendly. The customers are just lovely. The beer and cider selection has to be seen. All is well Kept, The secret pizza company serves awesome pizzas. Ignore the decor this place is all about people beer and cider

Best pub in Nottingham. Great beer, great people, great atmosphere and a roof terrace! Citra is always on and on this visit the pumps included Black Iris Snakeeyes, Thornbridge Jaipur, a strong hazy IPA, another pale and a few darker beers. Also have lagers, ciders and any other boozes you might want.

Total hidden (from me!) gem. Great selection of local beer. Whacky stuff on the walls and cost setting arrangements. Great little pub!

Really neat place with lots of seating options available. The staff is great and there's a wide variety on tap.

The Billy uses to he a regular haunt pre- covid and baby. I was pleasantly surprised to see it had retained its traditional character but modernised - the roof terrace with pizza kitchen is a very welcome addition. Fab range of real ale and ciders with knowledgeable friendly staff. Sneinton is now a great destination for decent pubs, the Billy is highly recommended.

My 1st time in, under the new landlord. Truly amazing olde world. No chrome or plastic in sight and no bang bang bang music. A real clear tasting pint of nectar. Was only in for a Pint, but aim to go back again. The place has a nice ambiance, and the clientele are a nice bunch o'folk. Well worth a visit....Trust me.

Best pub in Nottingham, wish I could visit more. Perfect beer selection, best outside area, and they even use profits to raise money for charity. If you haven’t been, then hurry.

Visited The King Billy for the first time yesterday, the atmosphere is top and they have a good selection of alcohol free/low alcohol drinks! The AF stout was a 11/10!!

This place is becoming in one of my favourites in Nottingham. Good beers, quick service, kind staff and very sociable environment. Although I think pizzas are a bit overpriced. But very satisfied with the place. PS: you can also watch football games!

This pub is a little gem in the heart of Nottingham. Downstairs has a friendly local feel, with great drinks to choice from and lots of friendly customers and staff super helpful..as you move upstairs you have a lovely outdoor space and amazing food to snack on..5 stars from me!
