The best restaurants in East Midlands

We were on a visit to Belper to pick something up and my wife said she fancied a Thai so we looked up the local Thai restaurant and are we glad we did. It was a little quirky being in the mill but when you go to the toilets you can wander around the basement of the mill and it's fantastic. The food was absolutely amazing and staff great. If we are passing through we will call back in.

We were a table of 10. First time here and definitely wont be the last. Extremely friendly service and the food was fabulous.

Lovely little place. Staff were efficient and very polite and friendly. Had a sandwich and coffee and reasonably priced with a colleague. Very impressed with the manners and politeness of the staff.

Customer service is very poor. We arrived - there is no welcome, you just find a table, pick up your own menu and then you wait, for a very long time, while being overlooked and ignored. Others orders were taken next to us, there was not even an acknowledgement of us being there, for example 'I'll be back with you in a couple of minutes' - just nothing - totally ignored. We eventually got tired of seeing other tables served and orders taken and simply left, so I cannot comment on the food or drink, as we had none. Customers appear to be the lowest on their priority list - no-one seems to have specific roles, it looks like everyone does everything whenever they want. Very poorly managed. This is the second time it's happened. We felt we would give them another chance, but got exactly the same treatment second time.

The worst curry I’ve ever had way overpriced too

Proper pub, serves great beer has bands on doesn't really do food except a sausage roll or pork.pie.

the pub is lovely realy old world charm staff very helpful and welcoming the food was good but the veg were so hard it was inpossible to eat them I dont like my vegetable soggy but do expect them to cook them this di spoil the experience I would have rice if I went againwhich is doubtful

Catering supplied to our home for a family birthday party. The quality of the buffet was excellent, delivered on time and well received by all our guests. We could enjoy the occasion more knowing the catering was sorted - many thanks to Becky and the team

Vibrant bar and restaurant. food was lovely - had a beautiful steak and red wine. Great evening with service from, Michael, who gave us lots of recommendations, jokes and brought some real personality to his work.

Beautiful food, lovely staff and left with a doggy as we ordered set menu for 2 plus one dish for 3 big eaters and brought some home for the freezer. When we are back in the area, we will be back and with friends

This little place offers a warm family feel. The food is homely and it is a good variety of it. The staff was attentive. Good value for money.

Basic food and over priced for what we received. Steak pie a few chips and a small pot of peas for £16.95. Would have been presented better with a plate of mixed fresh vegetables. Very disappointed.
