The food is amazing 🤩 I really recommend Sonrisa for the best tapas in Leicester. Our server, Megan has been awesome and so helpful. Thank you Megan for taking care of us 🤗 P. S : The atmosphere was a bit chaotic. I understand that it may be busy but it does need more organisation. Many times random food and drinks that wasn’t ours, came to our table.

Our friends were here recently and really excited about the place. This is an Argentinian Restaurant and the food and the atmosphere are really well paired. The calamari was succulent, the rib eye soft and like butter and the cocktails delicious.

We went as a large group of 17 for a work get together and had a fabulous meal. Big shout out to Michael, who was our designated server, for being so accommodating and made our time so lovely (all my colleagues had nothing but high praises for him, so thankyou!) We had the whole outdoor terrace to ourselves, despite the road works that were taking place, it did not deter us from having a good time and making most of the British sun. Food was delicious and there was a wide selection catering to all dietary needs. For large groups, we were initially offered a set menu but we chose to stick with the main menu - which we were grateful for, as catering for a large group with different orders was undoubtedly more complicated. We also made the most of the 2-4–1 cocktails (mocktails inclusive)! Everyone had a great time, would thoroughly recommend Sonrisa for all occasions but they were most attentive and welcoming for large groups.

As vegetarians normally avoid anything with Argentina in the scene as doubt eat steak. But this was excellent tapas, tasty and different and sensibly priced. Excellent service from Michael. We'll be back.

Really impressed. Called impromptu was in Leceister alone and surprised at the lack of eating places in the centre. So when I stumbled on this it was great. I had main course beef oxtail ragu/tagliatelle. Good but small portion for £18. Still hungry and it being Lent had to forgo dessert so had a small 150g steak a bargain at £13.50. Wished I had fries too. Two courses and bottle of sanpellegrino £40 incl service. Service prompt. Comfortable seats.

Fantastic food in a lovely restaurant, but what stood out was the service. Maney looked after our table so well, service was phenomenal and she was so friendly. The waiting staff set this place apart

Had a fantastic time for my birthday with my family. They had a fantastic range of small plates which we all shared between us, that were really flavoursome and varied. The cocktails were really nice too and well worth the price. Perfect for a summers lunch!

Automatic 10 per cent tip added. When we asked for this to be removed we were told “I have to ask why you have removed this’’ to which I said we like to choose our own amount. This ruined a decent meal. The dishes arrived late but the food was decent. I don’t think it’s appropriate to ask someone why they haven’t paid more? Really strange approach. We eat out lots of times and have never ever had a situation like this before. We tipped in the end as we always do but the situation almost made us leave without tipping.

Visited with a friend for bottomless brunch and would definitely return. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. I’d barely put my glass down before our server was over with more Prosecco. We did visit on fairly quiet Sunday however got the impression it would be the same on any day of the week. The food is great and if you’re after a slightly different brunch to the usual eggs Benedict etc, give Sonrisa a go!

2nd visit. Really not value for money. Expensive night out and not really satisfying. Confusing menu. Food on menu and expectations are disappointing. Feel rushed to quickly eat and go as the staff keep coming to you to get you the next stage. Check your receipt for the service charges. Not a large selection for starters or mains. We thought we were getting a lot more chicken in our dish as it was under the meat and large portion section of the menu and was even going to ask if they did a smaller portion in case it was too much. You would need a lot of others sides if your a big eater as it’s a small dish with about 3 to 4 tiny pieces of chicken and stringy fatty bits in it. My picture looks as if it has loads of chicken but it really doesn’t.

We ordered the beef crochettes, tomato and garlic toast and the squid for starters these was all lovely I really enjoyed them. Then for mains we ordered the flat iron steak and the sirloin steak with the potato wedges and the flavoured fries these was actually really lovely. Funny story is I actually didn’t realise the difference between steaks but my boyfriend ordered sirloin and I got flat iron the cheap one and I could actually tell a difference the sirloin was sooooo nice!! This modern, comfy restaurant was a perfect fit for a relaxing dinner. Lovely drinks, beautifully cooked and very well served food (the lamb and calamari 😍) and the light, vibrant decor meant we really enjoyed our meal there. My cousin & I came for bottomless brunch for our 40th birthdays. Rashid, Michael & Maddie were absolutely amazing. Incredibly attentive. Drinks topped up as soon as they were empty, dietary requirements looked after (gluten & nut free) and impeccable service throughout our time here. We stayed for the extra 2 for 1 cocktails and the bar staff were also fantastic. A buzzing atmosphere throughout the restaurant and bar and we will definitely be back again. Thank you! X
