Spice Lounge in South Northamptonshire

I spoke to a very friendly , attentive man when phoning in to place my order. Our set meal for 2 was delivered with a smile too. ( and covid safe).Our food was plentiful, as tasty as being in THE SPICE LOUNGE BRACKLEY .Thankyou to all involved! we are looking forward to coming back to your lovely Restraunt , but until then this is a very nice alternative to feed our Spice Lounge craving. No photos , sorry, we just wanted to eat.

After having an issue with delivery. I was contacted by the manager at the first opportunity who did his utmost to rectify the issue. Great management and food was Fantastic!

The best Indian restaurant in town, COVID taken seriously with all necessary partitions, masks, hand sanitiser stations etc all in place. Felt very safe. Food was great as usual, will definitely return.

We usually get take out from this restaurant but have eaten in a couple of times. There is a wait for food. It seems they prioritise their take out orders over customers sat in the restaurant.

The food and service was very good. We were the only table eating in which is a shame.I can only give an average review as the Covid process was poor.There was a small hand sanitizer by the door but you could miss it, as you could also miss the QR code. We didn’t get asked if we had used the QR code to register ourselves or check they had our details. None of the staff were wearing face masks either. Whereas I’m fairly relaxed about this, it doesn’t seem right that other hospitality venues in the area are taking the procedures seriously but the Spice Lounge are not

First class service, great food and friendly staff. Always do there best to accommodate you in clean warm surroundings.

The food is good but their delivery service is sh!t with a capital S. Over 2:30 hours from order to receiving the food is a joke! AVOID THEM

We have eaten here a few times now since lock down was eased. Tables are well spaced out, staff wear masks or face visors and there is hand sanitiser. All cutlery is handed to you wrapped in a napkin and very little contact. Well done, keep up the good work!

Visited on a Wednesday evening with a group of 5. We visited in August so received the eat out discount on the banquet night. The banquets deal is great value and ever better with eat out discount! All 5 meals were enjoyed. Friendly staff and clean.

Being the regular custodian of one of the other Indians in town I hadn't made the trip to 'the other end of town' to visit this restaurant. That all changed as Monday night was calling for a curry and my local is closed on Mondays. I was pleasantly surprised and had a really nice meal. The service was very good and the restaurant was nicely presented.

I’ve often driven past The Spice Lounge, as it was being built and after it opened but didn’t try it until recently. I’m regretting that because the food we tried on our first visit was quite exceptional.The menu is a delight as it features quite a few dishes I’ve not seen before (at least locally!)For example, have you heard of King Prawn Khazana, Roshuni Modhu or Hariyo Khursani? I hadn’t but now I know that they are “Cooked in a spicy sauce with fried chillies & yoghurt a favourite in the mountainous region of Nepal” and “Meat or Chicken marinated slowly cooked in tandoori, then cooked with garlic, honey, dry chillies, onion, tomatoes & chefs own recipes medium hot.”We tried the less esoteric meals to provide a better comparison but even they had extra flavour and special touches.The restaurant is situated in a converted pub so offers lots of space and good car parking.The staff were extraordinarily friendly and overall I whole-heartedly recommend The Spice Lounge.It took a long time to try but I’m determined to make that up and eat again soon!

Great food, always a brilliant meal at this place! Was a busy Friday night, especially with it being close to Christmas so service was a little delayed but nothing longer than you would normally expect anywhere else. Couldn’t fault it.

As always the food is wonderful, however ordered at 7.30pm with a delivery time on 1hr 15 minutes. 1 hour 40 minutes later dinner arrived. Now we have used the Spice Lonuge a number of times and whilst delivery times have always been a little...underestimated! The food and price have always been fair...until now! £37.80 for 2 of us, £5.95 for a mixed vegetable curry?! Really?! We have never paid so much for a takeaway...Think we will be heading back to the dhan Shiri in brackley...good food and value for money! Thanks but no thanks!

Always well staffed with friendly attentive service. The food is always great. Having the choice of IPA for bitter drinkers is good to instead of just lager. It's easy to book online and you get a quick response. It's our go to Indian restaurant now in Brackley.

The spice lounge did an amazing job of serving food for 25 people. The food was top quality and everyone got exactly what they ordered. The waiters also joined in with the fun and games. Top night. Thank you

Have been to the Spice Lounge a few times, also had takeaways. Excellent food, good atmosphere and very friendly. Nothing is to much trouble.

Not sure how this gets all the 5 star reviews?Nice enough place inside, parking in the street outside, staff are very friendly Wait time for drinks and pops was ok but then we waited an age for the mains to be takenStarter chicken chat was average and oily Chicken tikka masala was very sweetSpecial spicy hot dish was not as hot as it was advertisedTandoori mixed grill was poor. One chicken piece, one prawn a sheesh kebab and a naan bread. When I asked the waiter whether it was complete it was a waffling comment about the naan bread, I could not be bothered to check the menu or follow up anymore Spicy dish was served with salad all on one plate there was nowhere to put rice, until I’d made a space by eating some ? All in all an average meal and I’d try one if the other many Indian restaurants if I was to go again

This is the first time we’ve been on a Monday evening it was nice and quiet, other nights we’ve been the place has been full, the staff are attentive and food fantastic great flavours

Found Spice Lounge by doing a quick internet search for places to eat nearby whilst we were staying over night in Silverstone. Wow what a find, easy in my top 5 of Indian restaurants.

This has to be one of the best places for a authentic Indian meal ! The buffet deal on Wednesday and Sunday’s is incredible , service is amazing what a little gem ! So glad we tried here will be back again soon !

One of the best takeaways I have had in the last years I usually go in there with friends..... the food is very good inside but tonight I was especially surprised how good the takeaway was tonight. The staff are really friendly with a warm smile and the food is absolutely brilliant from what I've had tonight and the last couple of months would just like to thank you and please keep up the good work. I ordered the meal for one there's more enough there to feed 2 people with big appetites.

We are regulars to the spice lounge. We go once or twice a month. The food and service are good. However the last two visits have been very disappointing. They have prioritised group bookings over regular visitors. Last night there was a couple of groups, one in particular who were very loud. We were in the corner and completely cocooned by their noise. We couldn't hear each other speak it was like being in a nightclub. We asked to move tables and there wasn't a spare table but the waiters could have asked the group to turn their noise down a little. But they didn't because they were spending more money than we were, despite us being regulars. To add insult to injury, because there were so many people packed into the restaurant, the waiter leaned over and opened the window right by us. He didn't ask if we were ok with it. It was freezing so we left. There was absolutely no consideration. I don't expect to go for a relaxing meal and have groups of people shouting at each other across tables and not being able to hear the person I'm dining with and then for a window to be opened inbetween us on a cold, rainy April night. We won't be returning as they obviously care more for making money out of groups and servicing them than their regulars.

The spice lounge is our favourite in Brackley, they have excellent service and good food. The do both good takeaway and eat in. Perfect for a dinner for two or a family and friends

They forgot to pack the plain naan. The tarka dahl was watery, bland and had hardly any lentils in it!!!

This has now become our go to restaurant for a curry - service excellent and food unbelievably good.

We went with friends who were visiting and enjoyed the banquet. It is really good value, with a starter, main, side dish and a nan bread or rice for just £11.95. The staff are very attentive. The quality and flavour of the food is excellent. The variety and choice of dishes is unbelievable. This was our third visit and the quality is consistent. We will be back.

First time going to the spice lounge and definitely won't be the last. Booked a table for 6 of us really enjoyed the atmosphere here and the surroundings of the restaurant also had decent parking around the back .the service and food was excellent from very friendly staff, will be going again soon.

Me and my girlfriend look for good curry houses and travel around. We Came across this place 6 months ago and are now regular customers. We live in Bicester so that makes it even better for us. The food always tastes amazing and never had any fault with the service or the food. All of the staff are so polite and make you feel welcome. Well worth a visit!

On the off chance a group of us visited on a Friday evening, we were made very welcome, they were busy but we were well looked after. Nice traditional menu, excellent food, hot and well presented. Well worth a visit, very good

Visited this place with a friend and did not have any expectations. We were pleasantly surprised by the taste of the food. The Chicken Tikka that came on the sizzler looked great but tasted even better! I was pleased that after a very long time, I’ve got to taste Chicken Tikka which was bursting with flavour.

Had a works meal there and the food was exceptional, best Indian I’ve ever had. The service was brilliant and quick, the staff were great and didn’t mind the banter we had with them! Definitely would go again!

What’s happened to our favourite Indian. Not had one for months so really looking forward to it. The only thing good was the delivery driver. Onion bajhee so hard the dog had trouble chewing it. The chef must have changed a hint of mint has become drowned in mint. Bombay allo very dry no flavour. Very disappointing.

Visited for the first time Saturday evening with friends. The table was booked for 7.30. Orders were not taken for 45 minutes, Starters took and hour to arrive. Mains a further 45 minutes, and the bill 35 minutes after asking. The food was nice but overshadowed by the horrendous waiting. Gone 11 when we finally left. Won't visit again.

We regularly visit the Spice lounge in Brackley as we love the service and team and the food is great.

Nice and spicy! Really good price when you get the banquet deal. About £12 for starter, main, side and naan and all pretty decent food. Great amount of spice as well so believe the menu if says it's going to be spicy!

Brackley has many indian restaurants and the Spice Lounge is definitely one of our favourites. Popped in for a quick meal on Sunday and got to enjoy the Banquet which offers starter, main, side and rice or naan for a very good price. Excellent food - we'll be back again soon!

We have been a few times over the last few months and I have to say, far from resting on their laurels The Spice Lounge just gets better and better.

We visited on Saturday evening for a 7pm booking. It was take away madness. The food is wonderful, beautifully presented and very tasty. On the evening we visited, staff were off and they tried desperately to cope but the staff were run off their feet. We will go back again because the restaurant is so good. My tip would be to avoid early take away.

A lovely restaurant with really pleasant waiters. All aspects of our meal tasted extremely fresh. Particular favourites were the King Prawn Shashlik and the chicken Shashlic. Great draft Indian beers. Will visit again if in the area

Had dinner here a few times and every time the food has been excellent. I find the balance between the spices in the different dishes has been perfected, with no one flavour over powering another. There are not many Indians restaurants that get this balance right.

Dirty carpet. Outside was filthy paint falling off the wall and entrance door. Old beer can and beer bottle laying outside. Weeds growing outside. Very poor standard. What was it like in the kitchen?

Ordered a takeaway yesterday for the first time from the Spice Lounge. Absolutely delicious! We chose the banquet deal which includes a starter, main, side dish and nan all for just £11.95! Tremendous value! Everything tasted as if it was freshly cooked. I would go as far as saying the best Indian food I’ve tasted outside of India.

We’ve lived in Brackley for over two years now and have tried most of the Indian Restaurants in town. This is defiantly the best.

We went early evening with our three young children. The children's meals were disastrous for us, there is a 'kids meals' section on the menu, from which we ordered chicken nuggets & chips for our 4 & 2yr olds, assuming they'd be your regular chicken nuggets, WRONG! They were chicken tikka in the measliest amount of breadcrumbs. Our 2yr old ate some but the 4yr old was having none of it! A better description on the menu would be helpful as that was a total waste of £5.95, & more importantly it upset/disturbed our sensitive boy needlessly, he'd have just ordered chips had we known. However, I was glad of the extra meat as there were only about 3 chunks of chicken in my Balti! My husband's Lamb Korai was also lacking in meat. His Fish Ka Khushboo starter was unpleasantly burnt on the outside & slimey on the inside. But my onion bhajee was delicious, sadly not delicious enough to redeem the rest of our meals though! Won't be going back.

I thoroughly enjoy the Indian curries from Spice Lounge. The portion size is good and that doesn't take away from the great quality. I haven't yet dined in but the takeaway and delivery service is fab. My favourite is the Chicken Shimla. Great mild alternative to the classics.

We’ve been coming here for over a year, I think we probably average two takeaways a month. My husband and I are both a big fan of dhansaks, it’s always our go to dish and we compare all Indian restaurants on their vegetable dhansak. I guess the fact that we’ve kept coming back for over 18 months says all you need to know about how wonderfully tasty their dhansak is. Personally I would say their service has really improved, they are always really busy at the weekends but they are always friendly and welcoming.

Called up and made a booking for my wife and myself to celebrate our wedding anniversary, the service over the phone was great and really friendly by Sha.

We were a group of four. Chose this restaurant on its reviews but this turned out to be a mistake. The service was so terribly slow and at no time did we feel relaxed in the chaotic atmosphere. Eventually the waiter came with the mains but the wrong order, he tried to serve us the next tables order! Then our mains was put on the table but no rice or naan bread, we sat there waiting for the rest of the order and then had to get the attention of the waiter to ask where was our rice? He realised his mistake and then the rest of the order was put on the table. I was so disappointed as this was a meet up with a long lost friend from the north and was ashamed that this was what Brackley could offer :(

Food was good we tried alot of different dishes between us any everyone was very happy with there choice. How ever the service and time we had to wait was terrible. The table next to us also said the same thing. I would go back if they improved the overall service. It's easy to see a massive difference as we have so many Indian restaurant in brackley to choose from. Need to up your game.

Been here before and had to come back again and this time for my 19th Birthday. Food is incredible, service is good and the indian music they play is pretty banging. Highly recommend the chicken passanda, saag paneer and the popadoms with assorted garnishes. Absolutely delicious and I can’t wait for an excuse to go again.

I visited as I was on my own at Silverstone and I’m glad I did, I wasn’t disappointed. Good quality food, although seemed to be randomly adorned with salad here & there, the staff were great (even calling me back when I didn’t get through earlier in the day).

Visited for a work meal. Took people there because in the past the food, service, ambience etc was great. This time it was sulky and surly.

I quite enjoyed my meal and the service was generally good.I thought the waiters could have been a little more attentive.I had a cabbage side dish which begins with the letter M,it was too sugary sweet,however the tarka dahl and the paneer tikha and the veg rice was very nice.From a cosmetic point of view from where i was sitting the door to the kitchen around the lower half of it could do with a clean as well as the skirting boards.I found this quite off putting and left me wondering what the kitchen was really like.I did find it quite expensive for what it was.

Been threatening to go here for quite a while now as we live just down the road, but like anything on your doorstep you never seem to get there, so tonight was the night and I must say there was no disappointment, we were made to feel welcome as soon as we walked through the door, the restaurant is stylishly furbishisd and very plesent on the eye, not over crowded and looking on to other tables, we were offered quite an extensive wine menu, which was not overpriced as you would normally find.

We had a wonderful meal at the spice Lounge. We ordered a chicken Jalfrezi Poppa Dom’s various naanbread‘s and other things. Everything was extremely tasty and we were completely satisfied with the outstanding service and personal attention.

Had a delivery from Spice Lounge tonight. Rang up early before 6pm and arrived before 7pm. Loads of food, large portions, all arrived piping hot. Friendly service. Food was delicious all round, tried a couple of new things and everything tasty, no complaints. There is a bit of competition in Brackley for Indian restaurants, these deserve to do well. Give them a try for a takeaway, you won’t be disappointed.

In January I wrote a review which stated "I haven't had a dish yet that was disappointing. I do, however, feel the service could be improved and would then happily award them a full 5 stars.". I am very pleased to say that I have since been back twice and the service has been great. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I am sure my visit in January was just one of those days. This is a great restaurant with great food and I would recommend it to anyone.

Was a Sunday evening. 4 adults & 2 children. The staff were attentive to all of us. Made suggestions based on our tastes & what we were hoping to experience, kept our drinks topped up & made conversation.We were remembered from our last visit (in a goood way)even though it had been a couple of months since our last visit. We have been a few times & taken friends who have gone on to take other friends. Such a nice atmosphere.

Walked in on a Saturday night without booking. Nice staff found us a space on the back diner room. It was quite cold and noisy.

I think this might be my second review of the Spice Lounge, but we've just had such a good Valentine's evening meal, I felt that it would have been unfair to the team there, not to comment here.

After the closure of Faz's I was worried that nowhere in Brackley could match it. The Spice Lounge has a great selection and good choice of drinks. We have been a few times now and look forward to returning soon.

The people are very attentive and food is delicious! I wouldn’t go elsewhere. The food is to die for! Very quick service also.

We have been here twice now to eat in and had numerous take always both delivered and collected. We have had great food on all occasions. The delivery arrived in an insulated box so was piping hot when it arrived on time. Equal success for collections.

Brackley is only a small town but has 5 Indian restaurants (+1 take away)! At the moment the Spice Lounge is probably the best for food. The poppadom dips are excellent and the same can be said about the rest of the food. I haven't had a dish yet that was disappointing. I do however feel the service could be improved and would then happily award them a full 5 stars. This is a good recommendation for a town with substantial competition for good Indian food.

Visited this restaurant a number of times with friends and never been disappointed. Service can be slightly slow on occasion but wouldn't ever put me off going.

This was my fourth visit to the Spice Lounge, and yet another fabulous meal. The staff were warm, friendly and very attentive. The food was fresh, beautifully presented and arrived in good time. The restaurant was very busy, but that didn't impact on the service. My parents were really impressed with the atmosphere, decor of the restaurant and the food. I look forward to my next visit to the Spice Lounge, the nicest curry in town in my mind.

I often eat here, and takeaway food. I have eaten at many restaurants, and the food here is by far the best I’ve tasted. Staff are friendly too, nice atmosphere.

Absolutely delicious food, fantastic depth of flavour - we licked the plates clean. Lovely staff. I'm super picky and quite literally couldn't find anything to complain about. We live quite near to Luton - curry capital of the north/south divide and we haven't had a better curry there. This was our second visit and it definitely won't be our last. Nice atmosphere. Food was nice but service was appalling. Took over 2 hours for a 2 course meal. Its nice to not be rushed but that was way too long. We had our dishes infront of us for a long time after we had eaten and some of the staff couldnt have cared less. One in particular was moody, blunt and rude. Put us off coming back to be honest which was a shame as we really enjoyed the food.
