A warm and inviting experience here. The service was friendly and relaxed. A great amount of choice on the menu. We went for the tapas and it was all delicious. Special shout out for the meatballs! Great value for money too.

Met 3 friends here last weekend. Ordered separately - toasted sandwich and coffee. The coffees came out 1 at a time, over the space of 30 minutes. I went in to order 3 more whilst we waited for our food; it took 25 minutes to be served (2 people in front of me) so in the end I didn’t bother. Our food came after an hour… not in the order we had ordered them and not together. Other tables received their food well before us and they were ordered afterwards. Whilst queuing I watch the staff- sadly this is the problem- totally disorganised and food hygiene practice that made me feel sick. One girl was at the till, taking orders, making the drinks and cooking the toasties. One girl just stood by the bar waiting for instructions (no effort to clear tables or help), the kitchen staff were just dreadful. One young man in and out- he took bins out, then came in and touched the pile of sandwiches waiting to be toasted, looking what they were. He did not wash his hands, but wiped the butter he had on his hands down his sweatshirt. The girl at the front kept touching her pony tail, then the food (again no handwashing)… she was so overwhelmed that she cried. She wiped her nose and eyes on the dishcloth which then went back on the work top. I felt bad for her as it was too much for one person. She had a thermometer in the toasties, and used the same one for meat and vegetarian sandwiches, without cleaning it.It really was totally disorganised and had I seen these things before I had eaten, I would have cancelled my order. We all just felt nauseous, wondering what might have happened to our food. Being busy is no cause for this and I was horrified. Such a shame as this is a lovely cafe.

Quite possibly the best burger in Bristol. I've tried a lot of the competition and this is right up there, for now it takes the top spot IMO. Will definitely be back

A "proper" pub with a good choice of beer, larger, cider and zero alchol......good service and the customers create a good atmosphere which includes watchinglive football, F1, etc .....also a special outside area to entertain the younger members of the family
We have had lunch here a few times. Food always delicious and the little deli full of goodies to tempt you on the way out
Interesting local art on the walls
What an amazing experience, I'd definitely describe it as the best pizza I've had outside of Italy, and the seasonal specials add an extra interesting twist.
My mum has said that the gluten free pizza is the best she has eaten anywhere.
The homemade hummus is amazing and deserves its own mention.
This is one of our go to places, for a fantastic atmosphere good food and even better choice of beer
We celebrated our Grand Daughters 17th birthday…The service was average…We had to ask for a wine by the bottle menu which was in fact a better deal…The menu was not as impressive as the website suggests…I ordered lobster ravioli at $23.95 and received 7 not homemade with no crabmeat or tomatoes. One of my Grand Daughters ordered the beautiful NY Strip medium well; it came out late medium rare. When returned fifteen minutes later it was perfect but the entire table had finished eating…I hope we experienced a night where key kitchen help did not show up for work; otherwise this restaurant needs to tighten up to stay in business…
We had Sunday lunch yesterday. It was absolutely delicious , served piping hot and with generous portions.
We will be returning and have already recommended it to friends and family.
We ate at Interlude for lunch. The menu is a total delight for the taste buds. It is difficult to single out individual courses as everything was delicious but if I had to it would be the poached oyster in a delicious buttery sauce and the rabbit course, which was like 4 scrumptious rabbit and carrot canapes. The menu has an occasional South African theme, reflecting the chef’s heritage as well as foraging which is woven into most of the dishes. We will be back for the slightly longer evening menu.
