10 out of 10 for the service really good food and a brilliant atmosphere the owner of the chef and the staff are fantastic, cannot recommend this enough!

Chilli was very dry no sauce at all lol it had been preprepared and left to stand Also the owner seems very unhappy and never smiles when serving.

Highly recommended! Wow! What beautiful food. Amigos Cocina felt very authentic, with an amazing set of staff. The food was bought out all together and the service was super speedy. Very very good Churros that were so fresh the chef bought them out to us!

Fantastic place! Great food cooked to perfection and super speedy, great atmosphere and attentive staff. Recommend the churros the best I’ve ordered, and the tacos. Couldn’t fault this place and we will definitely be back.

I had chicken tacos, my partner had a pulled pork burrito with sweet potato fries. We sat outside on the benches in the sun, although there is an umbrella at each table, if required, for shade. The food was absolutely delicious, we both enjoyed our choices. This is real quality food, made with fresh ingredients and care. Friendly, helpful service. Looking forward to returning for an evening meal, the restaurant looks amazing inside.

Absolutely fantastic independent Mexican. Dishes were served with great attention to detail..we were offered "frozé" aperitifs on arrival and I enjoyed a fully vegan experience. We had a small nachos to share followed by chimichanga and enchiladas. The food was perfect, tasty and great portions and value for money. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly...we will definitely return to this hidden gem!

The most amazing bottomless brunch! The food was absolutely incredible and service was perfect A choice of Sangria, Bloody Mary or Prosecco for drinks and 5 beautiful courses… I’ve never been so full! Will 100% be back and recommending to everyone

I'm very disappointed as expected better from a place with so many lovely reviews. Food was very bad and had to be sent back, meatbals were hard as rocks. Service forgot about my drink and cleared my sons plate whilst he was still eating. On the positive side, we were seated straight away as the place was empty on Saturday night. Nice decorations. Sadly, I won't be visiting again.

Really disappointed with this restaurant, had expected good things due to the 4.7 star rating. Other restaurants in this area have been great. Will not be coming back here again. Very expensive and the quality of food did not justify the price tag. Portions were all small, food was too dry, too hard to cut, lacking flavour and spice. Restaurant really need to look at the quality and freshness of ingredients being used. And check or taste test food before sending it out from the kitchen.

What a lovely family run restaurant. We had a fantastic meal here last night - the food was fresh, delicious and served promptly (definitely try the sweet corn dish - soooo good!) and the cocktails were spot on. Fab atmosphere, and the family who run it are so lovely! Big shout out to Yasmine too - wonderful waitress and incredible singer!! ❤️ Thank you all so much - we will be back!

I visited Amigos Cocina last year and I'm really eager to go back as the food was truly delicious. The patatas bravas were the best I ever had. The staff were really friendly and accommodating towards our dietary requirements. Lots of things could be made vegan and we were really quite spoiled for choice. The decor was also really funky. Would highly recommend this place.

Very cold where we where sat and i was worried to move because i was say by the till. disappointed on the size of the portions I had enchiladas very dry pulled pork. I thought it be a lot bigger as well. No check backs on the food at all. We both have had food poisoning from the food which as stopped us spending time with each other over the weekend

Came as a party of 7 on a Saturday night. The atmosphere & décor was fun & inviting, the waiting staff were friendly, the chef came & spoke to us before preparing our food & they all had a great sense of humour! The food was tasty, lots of variety & the cocktails were great. We all said we'd love to return!

Lovely cozy atmosphere and nice food to go with it. I had fajitas and was pleasantly surprised at the size of portion and presentation. I also had the cinnamon swirl dessert which was very good but I wish they labelled vegetarian meals clearer on the dessert menu.

Came as a rowdy party of 20. Had the recommended "Fiesta" menu. The food was tasty, and plenty to share. The Amigos team were friendly and helpful, and did well. Good drink selection and lovely atmosphere. 🎊🎉

What an amazing restaurant, tucked away in the beautiful Cotswold market town of Chipping Sodbury. Authentic Mexican cuisine, cooked with passion and flaire, you'd be forgiven for thinking you were actually in Mexico!! The owners and staff make you feel welcome the minute you walk through the door and the service is second to none! Excellent food, a wonderful ambiance and terrific value. You're guaranteed to walk away with a smile on your face and yearning to make another booking!! I would highly recommend anyone to pay this wonderful restaurant a visit. I'm thrilled to share my experience at this restaurant as it truly surpassed my expectations. As a Mexican, I was delighted to find that the food was exceptional. I had the opportunity to try their enchiladas with mole, and I must say, they tasted just like those in Mexico. The flavors were authentic and transported me back to my homeland. It's evident that the chefs take great care in preparing traditional dishes that capture the true essence of Mexican cuisine. Moreover, the decor is incredibly fitting, with a vibrant and colorful ambiance that captures the essence of Mexico perfectly. It made me feel right at home. I went to the restaurant alone but Shamsi (the owner) and her friends they graciously kept me company throughout my meal, engaging in pleasant conversations and making me feel incredibly welcome. Their warmth and hospitality truly enhanced my dining experience and made me feel like part of their extended family. It's these personal touches that set this restaurant apart and make it a memorable place to dine. Food is absolutely amazing. Best I’ve had outside of the States. Went on a Saturday lunchtime and it was quiet so the atmosphere was nice and peaceful with my dining companions :)

The music makes for an enjoyable atmosphere..staff are very helpful and go above and beyond.the food is sooo tasty!!

Attended as part of a 24 group private party. Granted we did arrive a little early but were met with a closed door & told our table wasn't booked till 7.15. eventually got let in, first few courses arrived and they were nice. Then a fair gap between courses, turns out we missed three of the tapas courses that got served to the other two tables, chef hadn't cooked enough for us all. Staff were genuinely horrified and apologised profusely. More was bought out for us quickly. Food was nice, nothing special, just nicely cooked tapas and fajitas. Dessert was very strange, a chocolate mouse thing served in a floppy cupcake case that went all soft and almost fell apart by the time we'd finished the few mouthfuls. Churros was nice, also a 'mango merengue ' which was more a pile of cream with a few bits of mango and merengues.

WOW! What a place, the staff are amazing, super knowledgeable, and really friendly, they'd not had the misfortune to meet us all before, but they really did make feel like long lost friends or at the very least regular customers. The owner, a spectacularly strong lady with a really bubbly personality who thrives on interaction with her patrons, has out of adversity made a visually bright oasis in the dining area that exudes a comfortable atmosphere coupled with stunning food, punchy cocktails (and the Sangrias not too shabby either). I was so engrossed in the experience, that I forgot to take photos. I'm actually super happy about this because it means I'm going have to go back again to finish this review properly! I would well recommend this establishment to all, but be warned, you'll be lucky to be able to just walk in and get a table, Its pretty much always full and for good reason. Its a massive 5 stars from us. Thanks for having us, and we will see you soon :-) Update: As you can see, we ventured back last night as promised. Once again we were treated to an amazing meal. I did remember this time to take some photos of the food (some of which we had started before I remembered to do a quick snap, apologies. The host was her usual bubbly self and her team were buzzing around the restaurant tending to the customers needs. Once again, a faultless visit. Thank you ❤️

Went here after reading reviews living in the village wanting to support local and love a good Mexican. The decorations of the restaurant was splendid along with the music. Arriving at 6pm only one other table taken. As we ordered it soon got busy. Service was slow two table got theirs before us after waiting an hour out party was 4. We ordered a share of nachos which had the amount of tortillas and salsa for one so we flagged her down to order more. Then after the food came it all looked great apart from mine looked like pulled pork I ordered chicken tacos. It tasted like pulled pork. I asked and was told it was chicken. I struggled through as I hadn't eaten all day. They never took it off bill and we still tipped. However I will never return again. The food for everyone was not the best and we all left dissatisfied and disappointed.

Not the best experience , food very bland no seasoning (never had to ask for salt in a Mexican before) chili nachos were tasteless soggy and hardly any beef , just crushed bean, steak and chicken fajita just plain boring with no flavour . Staff were friendly enough until people they knew entered and tat was it , the rest of the people in the restaurant were second citizens, had to ask for drinks and the table cleared from all the empty bottles which were piled up on the table which was more like a wall paper paste table with a cover on it 👎 not good

We had dinner here on Friday, having discovered the place on Google as we didn't even know it existed. Service was fabulous, cheerful and friendly. The menu had a good selection and portion sizes were good. The food was delicious and well presented too. Prices were high and it wasn't somewhere you could go for a quiet chat as it was noisy but as an occasional venue it was great.

Fabulous find! Superb menu choice and the quality of food was excellent - lovely friendly staff too. The restaurant decor creates a lovely authentic Mexican feel - it’s fab! Highly recommend for a special occasion or just for eating out. We’ll defo be back!

We had been driving around all evening looking for somewhere to eat which had a spare table. We fell upon this places and we are so glad we did. We really enjoyed our food and the small cosy atmosphere and good service really made what was nearly a disastrous evening absolutely lovely!

I’d like to start by saying this was my favourite place when it was in its previous location a few years ago. The food was amazing! Sadly I was disappointed with the food on our most recent visit which I’d been looking forward to for a long time. Firstly the prices have gone up considerably. The king prawns were the best thing but £8.50 for 5 prawns seemed excessive. Fajitas were bland, like the seasoning for the chicken was forgotten and only came with 4 very small tortillas, not really enough for 2 people to share for £18. Churros and raspberry mojitos were yummy tho. Genuinely Sad to say we probably won’t be back.

Lovely friendly staff fantastic food

Absolutely delicious food and drink. We had the set price feast for 6 which was incredible value for money. Huge amount of very tasty tapas (the honey and cider chorizo the best chorizo I have tasted anywhere including Spain) and the fajitas. We had a vegetarian in our group and the owners took special care to make sure they had a good selection. Finished off with an amazing desert platter. This place is a gem!

Disappointing - I ordered the Patatas Bravas and Five Bean Chilli Burrito on the first day of the business opening. Opened the burrito box to find a soggy cold mess inside, it looked like the food had been sitting around for some time, presentation not good Rice very undercooked and chewy, Raw peppers in the chilli, the chilli tasted only of a cheap chili seasoning and nothing else, Side salad not fresh - Tapas was bland - not what I expected for the first day of opening won't be coming back sorry
