Wonderful little place to stop and have a coffee or a light bite. Along the Bristol/Bath cycle path for anyone who needs a rest. Dog friendly, staff are lovely even when they are rushed off their feet! Cake is 10/10! Covered and uncovered areas for different weather.

A cute little spot that presumably acted as a rail station before the line was transformed into a biking/walking path. It's a nice hidden gem that offers bike rental alongside drinks and snacks. Was a pleasant surprise that started our journey on the bike path which is a really good stretch full of happy people. Granted, the people will differ for everyone :D

I have been stopping at this cafe for many years and have thoroughly enjoyed every hot drink and piece of cake. However the last few times I have been attacked by dogs without even an apology from the dog owners. I have reported this to the cafe management but I only received the usual "we welcome everyone". Just some observations: - if you look at the published photos, like on the website, you will not see a dog whereas, in reality, there are always lots of dogs in the cafe. - dogs were always excluded from cafes and restaurants for hygiene reasons, and some eating places still maintain these standards - this cafe does not. - "dog friendly" really means we welcome dog owners because if we didn't then we might miss out on some custom - dog friendly = hygiene unfriendly.

My favourite stop between Bristol and Bath. Absolutely beautiful and a lovely attraction to add to your journey. Cheap prices and a fantastic range of different meals I am stunned at what they can provide! A wonderful place to stop if you're cycling past on the Bristol / Bath Cycle Path. There is also a fantastic charity called wheelers that runs next to the waiting rooms that helps people with accessibility needs enjoy the wonders of cycling, I would highly recommend!

A great midway stop on the Bath to Bristol Railway Path, and we were not disappointed. There were a lot of people already eating at lunchtime on a sunny summer weekday, and a queue, too, but we were served quickly enough by very friendly staff. The food is fairly basic, but the atmosphere is cheerful. This reuse of an old railway waiting room, the charitable overtone to the place, and the community spirit it creates, are all wonderful. And yes, the TARDIS toilet is a beautiful thing!

We visited the railway cafe today, where we go twice a week but this is the second time in less than a month we have been treated appalling by the same member of staff, a tall, slim, short blonde bob hairstyle (maybe the manager) I purchased a round of drinks for us all including myself and also asked for a small cup of hot water, to which I was rudely shouted out infront of other customers , asking me why I wanted this. I felt extremely embarrassed by her actions. Whilst I was sat drinking my drink one of her colleagues came over to me telling me I am no longer to ask for a cup of hot water. I have found this is very bad customer.service as again, I always buy a drink when we visit . for a very pleasant cafe it's a shame this member of staff whom I believe is the manager feels it's acceptable to speak to her customers this way,

Really want to like this place. Downside is coffee comes in disposable cups and food on disposable plates. Ordered a coronation chickpea and was served chicken. Having not eaten meat for a decade, it was a pretty unpleasant surprise. Staff are obviously swamped on a sunny Sunday, but a pretty dangerous mistake to make with allergy risks. The woman who took my order didn’t seem too phased either. Grateful for the number of interesting vegan options though!

A fantastic place to visit, especially if you need a gluten-free diet. As a coeliac I felt very reassured by the way the staff handled my order. They offer jacket spuds or gluten-free sandwiches and even opened a new crisp packet so there'd be no danger of cross-contact. The outdoor seating area is plentiful with some sheltered seating, too. The TARDIS toilet is hilarious. In summer, there are large games for children to play with. I really enjoy coming here (and so do others, so expect a queue).

Came across this whilst traveling through the area and decided to stop for a light lunch. A somewhat random mix of gazebo style outdoor seating spaces, and one ‘waiting room’ style warmer building with 5 tables inside (we were fortunate to find a space in the latter as it was cold and wet outside). Food was surprisingly quick considering how busy it was and perfectly acceptable. Lots of speciality hot drinks and tasty cakes if that’s your thing. Clearly popular with cyclists and walkers/dogs as a good footpath / cycle route. Worth walking over the road to the original signal box, open most Saturday afternoons from 2pm.
