The place is falling down but the two burgers we ordered and for the price we paid deserve a visit or more than one.

Amazing burgers in a cosy pub like setting. No wonder some of these burgers were top 3 in national burger awards. They are amazing! In my opinion, this is the second best burger place in Bristol. Give it a go! You won't regret it!

Ordered for take away. Very impressed. Great buns, not overly sweet or soggy, perfect ratio of fillings. Beef very flavourful and tender. Will be coming in to eat in person very soon

Based on Google reviews, I took my family here over the weekend. It wasn't particularly busy when we arrived and we found a table and placed an order. We waited about 20moins for food to arrive, and it seemed really busy with Deliveroo orders as most of the people in the pub were just drinking. The burgers are banging, and I highly recommend you go and try then. The beef patties are so moreish along with the loaded fries. If you are in Bristol, avoid your usual chain burger places and go here for a truly excellent burger. I will be honest, the atmosphere for me was pretty mid, but the staff were polite and friendly.

I went with my partner the other day and we loved the burgers, we would definitely come back, my partner had the fattso, and I had the royale, both were amazing, I couldn't say which one was better.

We waited an hour and twenty minutes for 2 simple sandwiches in a half-empty place. The service is terrible, the hygiene as well. The girls at the counter first served the customers and then kissed and petted the customers' dogs. On the floor and the counters terribly dirty. I wouldn't go back.

Oh my yes! Royal with extra cheese burger was so tasty! Fries, dip, cheese bites, all great flavours. One of the best burgers in Bristol.

Great burger. Smashed pattie simple but quality ingredients. These burgers came from a place of love the chef thought deeply about construction of these burgers not just thrown together. came fresh and hot. Loaded fries where great the can tell the sauce was amazing. Service was great. And decor was fun get a sense of history in the place

Chicken Goujons were slimy and uncooked on the inside, barely any chicken inside them either. Sent them back and was not offered a refund.

We ordered through Uber Eats. Apart from the fact I found hair in my burger, it happens, no big deal… what prompted me to leave the review was the fact that they sent a room temperature coke second time is row. I didn't realize ordering a soft drink here meant getting something that tastes like warm piss and I would’t pay £1,95 for it… Do better !

I had a fattso burger and fries. The burger tasted great and the filling stayed in. The buns were soft too. The fries were crispy and had good potato content. The staff were friendly and the food arrived quickly. There was a jazz band playing when I went in, which was pretty cool.

One of the greatest burgers I’ve ever eaten in my life. I spent a month in Austin, TX sampling some world class burgers… but this bolthole in Bristol topped them all.

I came to see what all the fuss was about and wasn't disappointed. That's a very tasty burger, one of the best in Bristol in my opinion.

We've eaten here countless times and absolutely love it. Great burgers, fair pricing, interesting flavours and lovely staff. We had one frustrating experience where we went to collect adn were overtaken by about 15 Deliveroo drivers, leaving us waiting. I contacted Fattso directly and they were incredibly apologetic and sincere, understanding and fair. I can't recommend Fattso, and their customer service, highly enough. Great burgers, great people. Can't ask for more than that.

In the top three burger I've ever eaten, really well put together and really bloody tasty!! I had the royale and i would highly recommend.. Will be back soon for sure!

Best loaded fries I’ve ever had!! The chips remained crunchy while the toppings were generous and every bit was perfection!

Visited Wednesday 17/04/2024. Tried the 3 different Bristol Brewery ales on tap, can’t remember all of the names but Fortitude was one of them and really enjoyed it. Tried the Fattso burger with chips. The chips were amazing, some of the nicest I’ve had in a burger restaurant. The burger, wow, really good. Considering it was £12 I thought it was decent for what I consider is a gourmet burger. I can’t wait to return to try one of the other burgers, and would definitely recommend.

One of the best burgers I've had. I had the Royale. It was quite rich. I think if it had some jalapeños in it would have been perfect. I understand not everyone likes chilli's, but I think it wanted something to cut through the richness. I shall return next time I'm in Bristol, I will add jalapeños to my burger next time. Service was very quick. When we got there around 8:30 on a Friday night it was very busy and loud downstairs (it's in a pub) but we followed the sign upstairs to the roof terrace and found a table, where the music was a lot less loud. You order food at the bar the they bring it to your table. Food and drink prices were not too expensive. Food arrived in 5-10 minutes. Was in and out in less than 30 mins. Would highly recommend.

Incredible service and even better food! I ordered the combo for pick up but they had forgotten the fries. I went back to ask for some and was given some extra and I’m not kidding they’re the best I’ve ever had. I was so grateful for the kind service and would recommend to anyone looking for quick and delicious food!

Holy moley! Wow! What amazing food. We went here last night on a bit of a whim as we heard good things, and we we're absolutely bowled over by how good the burgers were. Definitely now my fav burger in Bristol and that is a big statement as the Bristol burger game is strong!

Lovely old pub vibes. But the real showstopper was the food. Genuinely I think it was the best burger I’ve ever eaten and the whole group I was with agreed. Service was a little slow but the six nations was on so it was understandably busy. Overall well worth the small wait and will definitely be coming back!

Have eaten in and ordered via Deliveroo and both times burgers were absolutely delicious and fries really crisp and tasty. Only v small critique was that, when eating in, our table was sticky and wet and wasn’t wiped down, only cleared. Food is great though.

This is the only review I've ever written about a restaurant and I'd go out of my way to recommend people not to eat in Fattso Burger. The food took 1h 40mins to be brought to the table (despite no warning at the time of ordering). When it arrived the £8 Fattso fries were cold and soggy and the nacho cheese was the consistency of water. I ordered the '3rd best burger in the UK' the Royale with cheese. All I'll say is that they must have only had to produce one for the judges, as the rate at which burgers came out of the kitchen was agonisingly slow. This is particularly grating when 90% goes to the delivery apps. I'd never eat here again.

Waited 100 minutes for our burgers (as did every seated customer). None of us were warned. Burgers were good but we all know how long burgers take to cook. No prior warning of the wait time. Deliveroo seems to take priority here. Real shame as Bosfinesse boasted about how amazing the burgers were. When asking where our food was after an hour they said it would be another 10 mins which was a lie. Avoid this place. Or order deliveroo as apparently they’re the only orders they care about. Burgers are alright but they’re just burgers which lose their appeal after 1hr 40. Not worth the visit.

They were really busy when we visited so we waited about an hour for our food, which was slightly disappointing. When it came though it was definitely one of the best burgers I’ve had. Will be back for sure !

Visited Fattso for a burger after hearing a lot of people talking about it. Oh my god… this is 100% my favourite burger in the UK ever. I strongly you visit!

Staying nearby and we went for a walk for some food and found this place! 100% recommend. Food is lovely! Good price and good service!

The Burgers here are Fantastic, in a classic ye olde pub in the heart of Bristol, what’s not to like!? Also have football etc! I feel needs to build it’s regulars up abit and this will be the best pub in Bristol

One of the best burgers out there. Good size, great quality, tasted amazing, and good value compared to other centre offerings. Loads of fries too. Highly recommended, will be back for more!!

Excellent burgers with a vegan option and a veggie (halloumi) option. The halloumi burger was very tasty with good variety of flavours and ingredients. The meat burgers, fries and dirty fries were also excellent. We would eat here again. Takeaway, but also you can eat in the Stag and Hounds.

Next level. The Signature Fattso Burger stands alone as one of the greatest of all time. The blend of each ingredient has resulted in a burger that really is unique. The Fattso fries are a perfect companion to it. Just right amount of everything without being too rich. Highly recommend if you are in Wells or Bristol

THE best burger in Bristol and possibly the country. I am a burger fiend and I've tried more than my fair share, the fattso classic is the most delicious combination of crispy, juicy and flavoursome it cannot be missed.

The food here is absolutely delicious!! The portion sizes were generous, we shared chips between us and I'm so glad we did. Will 100% be coming back again.

Tell the guy at the top of Cabot tower with the microphone to shut up. Nobody comes to the park to hear promotional offers to a burger place. Ironically for you, this is one less customer.

These burgers are sooooo good! I had the Royale burger and it was delicious! They came 3rd in the national burger awards so I wanted to try them and it didn't disappoint.

Sticky gooey and crusty burgers, they were good! The cheesy one is very indulgent 9/10, the jalapeño one has a crunch with a mild spice 10/10, the fattso and wee mack are classic "big mac" style" 10/10. Had jalapeño fries that were cooked really well. Overall a proper tasty burger and meal, in a informal pub setting. Will definitely be back for more, so beefy and juicy :)

These guys know the score. Really nice smashed burger. I had the vote for Pablo. The fresh jalapeños made it. The fattso fries were ok. Didn’t blow my mind. Not too keen on nacho cheese sauce tho so maybe that’s just me. I think I’d go with 9/10 but I’m not gona go and ruin their 5* google score now am I!
