Such a friendly cafe. Busy but a table was soon cleared and wiped down for us. Large pot of tea and toasted sandwichâs all delicious. Cakes looked good hopefully next time as will be back.
Visited with friends whoâve been desperate to try for quite a while.
Was there early evening last night and was nearly empty but soon started to get a little busier by the time we left.
Fantastic range of drinks. Stout was lovely but a little too cold for us. Stout shouldnât be freezing.
Other lagers and low alcohol beer was very good too.
Last night was a cold night and it was a little cool in there despite a log burner that needs to be kept better stocked to throw out heat. We were all very cold but went with it.
We had chicken burritos which were plentiful and packed tight with filling.
Downside was they were all cold. If they were hot I would score them 10/10. Sadly they were 6/10 because of this. Cajun fries were good too. And hot.
The team there were very friendly and will certainly be back. Maybe when the weather cheers up!
Immediately felt made to feel special and like a regular customer. Cottage pie was really good had a special smokiness to it. Would definitely return, although an hour and a half from where we live so not local. If over this way again will make special trip to return. Lovely welcoming environment đ
So here we are again. I the most friendliest, calm and warm cafe we adore.
My husband and I love it here.
The service is wonderful.
Clean amenities, tables and the sun shines beautifully through their windows.
Go peeps.
You'll love it too.
Tasty and reasonably priced scummy food.
Excellent presentation
ALL staff are professional and smart.
Booked a table for 3 for 7.30 with no problem. Even got the email conformation. Travel all the way to Southend from basildon to try this restaurant only to find it was shut. No phone call no nothing. Won't be attempting again!
My Daughter has wanted to come here for so long and wow, what a fantastic place. The Cat's are so happy and very well looked after. The owners genuinely care and we will return asap.
This restaurant was perfection. Atmosphere was welcoming and warm, service was professional attentive. If you want to be treated like an old friend and an honoured guest and have incredible food too, eat here. You won't be disappointed

Regal Spice used to be called the Regal Haandi. The name has changed but the great Indian food, friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere (not to mention the very reasonable prices) makes for a great dining experience. It is a "cozy" venue so I recommend booking if you can. They do takeaway too!

It's disappointing to see such a lack of care for both the quality of the drinks and the treatment of customers. A pub should be a welcoming place, but this visit left me feeling unwelcome and dissatisfied. When I mentioned that 3 drinks of lager werenât great, I was told it tasted fine and I was exaggerating, I never usually send drinks back, but on the off chance I did I encountered rude and entitled staff. Wouldnât revisit.
