Smokey's Meat Shack in Rochford

Booked a table for 3 for 7.30 with no problem. Even got the email conformation. Travel all the way to Southend from basildon to try this restaurant only to find it was shut. No phone call no nothing. Won't be attempting again!

I have driven past Smokey’s for the last couple of months and have been desperate to try it out… it did not disappoint! I had the pitmasters platter with a side of Mac n cheese. I could barely finish it! It was meaty and taste so good, the ribs & wings especially were absolutely banging. This is my new favourite place, nothing special inside but the food is 10/10 which makes up for it, I’ll definitely be returning with my mates again soon!

Amazing atmosphere, and the food was great with bigger portions than I was expecting. The beer was a good price and was great. Noce staff.

We visited this restaurant tonight. Felt like the staff were our friends. They are all amazing and very friendly. Visited with 2 adults and one child. The England match was on and nothing was too much trouble. We are ‘foodies’ and nothing was a disappointment. Had a few drinks and food. There was honestly nothing to fault! Have been wanting to try this place for ages, can definitely say it lived up to my expectations and was as good as it looks on social media. Great service from start to finish, all 8 of my family members loved the meals we had, this place does amazing pulled meats, unbelievable ribs and fantastic Mac and cheese amongst everything else we had! Food arrived early and piping hot! Packaged really well and nothing missing. The food was absolutely incredible!! We will 100% be ordering from here again! You will not be disappointed!

We tried here as a takeaway the other week and we tried the burgers ..they were amazing they come completely fully loaded with cheese and the caramelised onion is a game changer. So we went and ate in last night and tried the meat platter for 2 ..now this is ALOT of food for the money and it is so tasty. Just melts in your mouth, the slaw and pit beans are also amazing. We got the big cheese melt pot and that was insane. Will definitely be returning.
