We spent the evening at The Beehive this week, enjoying both a gourmet taster menu created by some fantastic visiting chefs and an overnight stay in one of their brand new 'hives'. Our dinner was tasty and well executed, particular highlights were the white asparagus starter and the venison with plum compote- delicious and washed down with a great selection of wine and beer! The brand new accommodation is 5 star. Tastefully decorated with a superbly comfortable bed, well appointed bathroom and everything you might need for a short or longer break. Caroline and Simon were superb and welcoming hosts, ensuring we had everything we needed and more. A hidden gem.

Stopped here for a takeaway brunch while on the A1 heading north. Busy cafe. Good choice, good food, well cooked. Thanks to Adam and Steve. Certainly worth the 5 minutes off and 5 minutes on. Ample parking outside

Just went today for an Easter lunch best decision! We ordered two regular fish and chips both were freshly cooked and piping hot. The portions were more than enough and me and the wife struggled to finish our meal. Absolutely recommend going to this chippy if you’re in town.

Great Pub with a fantastic selection of real ale and very friendly staff

My first time in Bolton and I discovered this hidden gem. Went for the margherita which was amazing! (it gets messy so make sure you have napkins) They have plenty of pizza options on the menu, hopefully next time I’ll be able to try a few others. Also, there are a number of benches just outside for you to sit down.

We wanted good tapas and three faces didn't disappoint. The beauty of not having to choose what to eat made things an absolute joy. We had dishes we'd never have selected, and are so glad we tried them. The mackerel...oh my word. No menus mean no prices. That stung a little at the end, but the food was worth the money. I just wish we'd known how much we were totting up.

Just been to the Italian Night at The Park Restaurant marvellous food great service. The students are very experienced at serving and they go out of their way to make sure you enjoy the meal

Fabulous food and service from Vicky and Katie of the Humble Cat. We ordered the Tribute of Life. Everything was set up beautifully; the food was very fresh with lots to choose from and marvelous cakes; and the best thing was that I knew they had it covered and I didn't need to think of anything. I highly recommend the Humble Cat.

My mates were ordering food and one of our mates were upset and was quietly crying and two of our friends were comforting him while ke and my mate were ordering 30 quids worth of food they kicked my mate out for crying but bet if it was a woman crying they would of let her stay this coming from a woman
