What a fabulous little pub/b&b situated in the heart of Weybourne. The food is fabulous and the service is really rather good. There's also a bus stop right outside, if you're travelling from Sheringham, and another one just over the road if you're travelling from Wells. Buses operate on a Sunday too and the local company is Sanders. If you're going to eat or drink at The Ship it's just a £3 fare. The pub is very clean and has an amazing reputation locally.

The menu offered a diverse selection of North and South Indian dishes. I ordered the Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan, both of which were outstanding. The butter chicken had a creamy texture with the right balance of spices, and the naan was fresh, soft, and perfectly charred. My friend tried the Vegetable Biryani, which was flavorful and fragrant, served with a side of cooling raita. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring our water glasses were always full. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. However, the food took slightly longer than expected to arrive, but the taste made up for it. From the moment I stepped in, the warm ambiance, soft Indian music, and the aroma of rich spices set the perfect mood for an authentic dining experience.

***YOU OWE US AN APOLOGY !!!***
RUDE, DISCRIMINATION to the minority by the staff member who allocated the seats on Sun 29 Sep 2024. ‘GET OUT’ said by the manager on the day to customer who simply intend to join the queue to walk in.
What a place!
SHAME ON YOU!!!
***Update***
If you check the security camera, you can understand how rude that staff member behaved and what discrimination we faced.
We were told to wait for half an hour as we have no booking in advance when we came here in the morning. We decided to go. Around half an hour later, we came back and asked the same person if we can have a table since nobody else queued. The staff member who allocated the seat told us they didn’t serve walk in people and advised us to have food and drink at cafe area. We feel strange and unbelievable but we went to cafe area where only two kinds of cakes available.
What really upset us was that afterwards many people walked in the restaurant while we were waiting for the coffee. So I asked that staff member “No offence but why could not we join the queue and have a table?” That staff member said the rule had changed and now they could take walk in people. I said to her that “You can’t treat people this way. We have been waiting here for a long time. It feels rude and it is a discrimination.” But that staff member still refused to allocate seat and said something arrogantly. That’s what made me angry. And the manager joined the conversation and ended up with “Get out”.
Please be noted that over the whole communication I said nothing bad, nothing dirty. You showed no respect. I chose to leave not for what you said, I simply did not want to stay here any longer.
I share my experience at this restaurant and believe RESPECT is the value we all share.
Tasteless food and highly priced.
Coffee at 3.60 a cup was hot, brown water. A bacon sandwich was 2 packet slices of white bread covered in 'spread' and the bacon had been kept a bit warm somewhere for a long time.. it was hard, stringy. The croissant was something akin to one from a supermarket packet of 6. Total bill over £17!
Please can owners occasionally eat the food theyre serving and check if they are offering value for money!?
It was quite shockingly poor and we'll not be going back.
View or no view, it doesn't make up for poor quality food.
Booked for Sunday lunch, 5 kids 6 adults.
Everything was amazing. The staff were excellent, attentive and friendly.
The roast dinners were probably the best I have eaten out, I could of done with more belly pork but only because it was so delicious.
The crispy rice pudding, coconut sorbet desert was outstanding.
They've got it spot on in this restaurant 👌.
The best steak I’ve ever had! We ordered off the menu, the staff were very helpful and advised us to choose the most delicious steaks. Even the bread and butter is amazing here, all very fresh and soft! The sides were plentiful and very tasty.
We had creamed spinach, josper onions, carrots and fries. The carrots were made with dates and walnuts which was a nice alternative.
For dessert, the white chocolate crème brûlée is a must.
