A tremendous Friday night takeaway, with a wide selection of burgers and sides. Highly recommend to anyone who loves a burger!

Love it great food. Amazing people Work here and Kiki is so fun. Like the T-shirts for men in the shop. The music is incredible. I wiped out hard but am going back as soon as possible. So safe and secure, head of security and all the team just Looked after me so well. I felt Treated like a queen. Instagramable and exercise I am in.

up there in my top three burgers ever. great chips too and service is quick. Nice geezers on the stand too. I just ate in the new restaurant in brockely. The burger was incredible, the fries were double cooked and mega crispy. Just the way I like it and perfection. I also tried the buffalo chicken wings. Lovely crispy skin and delicious sauce.

Perfect. We haven't had a chance to go to Brockley Market in a while so very glad they've opened a place up. What can I say, burgers are amazing. We sat in and had ours and then grabbed a few to go for our family. Delicious food and amazing music choices, can't wait to come back.

I was happy to see a Mother Flipper pop up at Kew Gardens. It's one of the burger joints I've been waiting to tick off of my list. I was really impressed by the classic cheese burger. The patty and bun were solid - not too greasy and cooked really well. It was just the right size too- I'm definitely not a fan of these gargantuan burgers out there. For me though, the toppings were some of the best I've had. They add great flavour and texture to the burger and bring the whole thing together. Again, overfilled. Just the right amount for the size of the burger. A final note - the service time was very quick. Definitely a top 5 burger in London for me.

Had a cheeseburger at Kew Gardens last night. I am coeliac and I was SO impressed by the precautions they took to avoid cross contamination. And to top it all the burger was delicious, with crisp salad, lovely bun and very crisp fries. well done guys!

I had read good reviews on this burger and saw it was "one of the best burgers in london" so was disappointed how over hyped it is. (I tried the candied bacon burger) Much better burgers out there like Meat Liquor for similar pricing. Glad I tried it to know I'm not missing out on anything

Sin duda alguna esta es la mejor hamburguesa que he probado en Londres y hasta el momento creo que de mi vida. Todo en su conjunto es espectacular, la carne, el queso, la barbacoa, el bacon... Es una delicia. La dirty Barbie es una auténtica pasada. Nosotros la probamos un domingo en el mercado de Victoria Park y sin duda, solo por probarla merece la pena ir a la otra punta de Londres. Cómo su nombre indica, tener a mano servilletas, porque chorrea y te mancharas seguro.

Bacon Swiss - god dam good burger. Toppings tare op top but patty wasn't mind blowing.

If you like gourmet burgers you will like this place. There's always a queue but you can wander around the market while waiting for your order.

Had the veggie option at a wedding this weekend. Honestly, this was the best veggie burger I have tasted up until now. And the chips that came with it were delicious. Bravo lads!

The standout stall at Brockley market, providing some seriously good burger treats on a Saturday morning. I can't recommend the breakfast burger enough.

Quality burger! I made the journey down to the Brockley St Market on a wet Saturday arvo and was glad I did! I went for one thing - Mother Flipper. I ordered the Candy Bacon Flipper and after a 5-10 minute wait I was tucking into a delicious burger. The maple soaked bacon added a nice sweetness, the patty was sizeable and the bun spot on. The salad was ok, but the tomato wasn’t needed on this burger. Fries were £2.50 and were a decent serving. Will definitely be back.

Interesting name, but a great burger, two patties, candy bacon (it works!) cheese and BBQ sauce in a brioche bun. It is not cheap (£10) but perfect for a Friday lunch.

Yummy!!! This festive twist was delicious. The gravy and the chestnuts were perfect. At £10 it was the top end price wise with no sides but worth it. Definitely recommend!

I absolutely love love love these burgers - I can 100000% say, these are the best burgers I've ever had ever since I first tried them at a work event. The Dirty Barbie burger is definitely my favourite, and I go every year to Model Market to get one of these bad boys! Yes they are pricey, but totally worth it!

I had the candy mother flipped burger, it was a good size not too big, just right and had a creamy, yummy sauce and tasty tiny fries in it! There actually fries were good too. I will be going back

En mi humilde opinión, la madre hace las mejores hamburguesas Flipper que he probado en mi vida y en una forma tiene mi hamburguesa comer arruinó la experiencia ya que no quiere comer hamburguesas en ningún otro sitio, excepto (tal vez) honesto hamburguesas, pero creo que están mejor Madre Flipper. Probably the best burger I've ever tasted

I have eaten a lot of burgers across London, but Motherflipper is my favourite. From the sausage muffins which I say are the tastiest breakfast muffins I have ever eaten. Their burgers are just delicious, just juicy and the dirty Barbie is a real man size, their prices are very fair for the high quality of the burgers. This is well worth once a week visit, I have been a regular for years and worth the trek down to Brockley market. Enjoy guys, I sure do.

I was really looking forward to trying Mother Flipper for the first time but it was a huge disappointment. The burger was so greasy. I know a burger isn't meant to be healthy but there was congealed fat all over my hands after a couple of bites. I won't be going back.

Awesome, juiciest, tasty burgers! You'll need plenty of napkins and take the leaning forward, legs apart stance for the first bite to avoid a messy clothing situation. Good prices too.

I love these burgers. They have it absolutely right - moist juicy burger with soft bun and absolutely delicious. Hope they stay small, as growth can only dilute the product.Better than Honest Burgers ( which are my second favourite) and milesbetter than the Bleecker Burgers who take the piss with their thin size.

Awesome. Just awesome. A fresh hunk of chuck steak shaped into a patty and cooked fresh in front of you. The offering is simple; no fries, onion rings, etc, just some of the best burgers you'll ever have. I've been lucky enough to try all of the options that they've offered at West India Quay and it would be very much a personal preference which you go for. The bacon double candy flipper is probably the best place to start as it's a good barometer to compare to others you've had.

These guys cooked at my husband's 50th and served over 180 burgers, the feedback from our guests was unbelievable. The burgers were the best they'd ever had, we were inundated with emails for their contact details. I would highly recommend them, excellent from the minute they arrived.

I visited Mother Flipper Burgers' stall yesterday at Brockley Market and got their avocado burger which had avocado, bacon and brie. It was delicious, juicy and perfectly cooked! It was one of the best burgers I have ever had! The burgers are home-made.I recommend getting there early so you don't miss out and be prepared to queue for a while. The burgers are not cheap but the meat is very good quality and it's worth the price tag.

Went to Brockley Market this morning (open 1000-1400 on Saturdays for farmers market produce and ready cooked food and well worth a visit). Had the breakfast muffin which was one of the nicest things I've eaten in a while. Freshly made and cooked sausage pattie with a beautiful egg on top within a muffin - comes with a tasty sauce and with bacon and/or potato rosti as extras. At £5 plus £1 for the extras it was very good quality. All cooked fresh while you wait. The burgers look as good if not even better and I can't wait to go back to try those too. On a bright cold morning this really filled the gap in a splendid way.

Worth getting the overground down for Brockley Market from Hackney for a change from broadway market. Same same but different - I just love this burger!

Simply one of the best burgers I've ever had. Mother Flipper burgers, from a burger van at the (EXCELLENT) Brockley Food Market, in an inconspicuous car park of Lewisham College, serves outstanding burgers. I had a Double Candy Bacon Flipper. The bun is soft, with a nice bite, in good proportion to the deliciously flavoursome meat patty, with two rashers of *unctuous* candied bacon, american cheese and lashings of sauce. An absolute must try for any burger lovers. Have been back many times, and everyone I introduce says its the best burger they've had.

Great burger for them at the weekend when at brockley market. There is always a queue so you do have a to wait. Great taste. They tend to be quite rare which I like but it is up to you. Miles better than any chain.

Mother flipper blew me away this afternoon as I indulged in one of the candy bacon burgers. Such juicy flavours, amazing sauces and perfeclty toasted buns! I have tried many burger joints around the UK and can hands down say this one is the title taker. Well dont Mother Flipper! will be back again for sure.

Apart from their blink-and-you'll-miss-it weekly appearances at Brockley Market, Mother Flipper can also be booked to cater private events. We were lucky enough that during Stylist's 24-Hour Challenge, they got the guys from Mother Flipper down to dish out free slider portions of their burgers for fans of the magazine who came down at 1 in the morning. Four of their burgers were available - The Mother Flipper Cheese Burger, The Double Candy Bacon Flipper, The Dirty Barbie and The Bacon Swiss - and I got to try one of each. The smell of sizzling patties does amazing things for whetting your appetite, and it was absolute torture waiting while they cooked the burgers for the Stylist team first before getting on to the orders of everyone else in line. By the time they called out my order number for the first burger I was starving. Thankfully, the three-man team running the operation worked in sync, vastly reducing the waiting time. The meaty and flavourful 100% chuck steak patties are cooked to medium perfection, which means it can get a bit messy when the juices invariably start dribbling down your chin. All the burgers came with delightfully crisp vegetable with nary a wilted lettuce in sight, though my favourite topping might well be the Candy Bacon, which features in a number of their burgers. It's bacon fried in maple syrup - there is absolutely nothing not to love about it. The only minor quibble I had was with the slightly cold buns - they'd seen a round of toasting on the grill, but in the process of assembly had been chilled to nearly ambient temperature. Still, with the patties piping hot and oozing, the overall burgers still worked incredibly well. #BurgerBinge

Mother Flipper. This burger joint came as a recommendation from the experts in London. A few hour affair that pops up at the Brockley Market on Saturdays. The preparation at Mother Flipper is done right in front of you. I waited in line and my mouth watered at the expertly constructed burgers. A three-man crew consisting of a full-time assembler, full time flipper, and a bun toaster cranks out these tasty delights. I got the Candied Bacon Burger which consists of a tender sesame bun, candied bacon, juicy beef, shredded lettuce, pickles, ketchup, mustard, and thinly sliced red onion. Each of the ingredients on the Candied Bacon Burger are well thought out for flavor. A sweet and crispy bacon, tender and juicy beef, vinegary and tangy ketchup + mustard + pickles, melted cheese, and a toasted but soft bun to soak it all up. My burger disappeared before I had a chance to write too many notes about it. That is a good sign when it comes time to dish out a score. The Candied bacon Burger is something to be admired for its well distributed and thought out flavors. A smart decision not to use a tomato really helps the texture, and makes this burger very focused on key flavors. Every ingredient contributes, but none overwhelm. Compared to the other top burgers my mouth felt a little dry, but this might be because I did not have a drink at my disposal while enjoying it. This is one of the best burgers in London and there is no doubt about it. A shame that it is not easier to get these burgers more than one day a week.

Am obviously making a super bold claim, but as a massive foodie and someone who has gone 'burger hopping' in the USA (LA and NY), and in the UK (all the chains, honest burger etc), I have to say that this is the best burger I've ever had. First of all, I don't believe in eating a burger with a knife and fork so it annoys me when a burger is 'glossed up' so badly it falls apart the minute you try holding it. What you get with Mother Flipper Burgers (MFB) is some of the freshest ingrediants, simple but well thought out combinations, and a lot of love put into the food...I've never met guys so passionate about burgers! Infact, I'm not even the biggest burger fan, but this keeps me coming back, so much so I went here on my birthday.The beef patty/burger is made from a fresh hunk of beef which is pressed on the grill, the bun is how a bun should be not too thin or too thick, and sauce is perfect. You can even asked for the onions fried or caramalised. My favourite is the candy bacon burger which is a double patty burger with bacon - it's not stacked too high and you can ask the guys to cut it in half for easier eating (tip - bring wet wipes for all food markets esp if eating burgers). They do some sides too i.e. slaw and potato salad but the focus is the burger. There's also a veggie option.It's in the middle of a Saturday food/farmers market in Lewisham @Brockley Market, which is still an undiscovered food market.I dare anyone to try it - ask for Manuel and say Keith said 'it's the best burger ever' and message me if you agree / disagree as the finest burger you've tasted!Well done MFB guys and keep up the good work!
