I feel ashoka is better than samrat in food quality, but samrat is cheaper..
Staff at ashoka are great, helpful and friendly..
Unfortunately we were sat at the table near the door so, with customers in and out, it was cold..
Defo recommend out of the 2 indian restaurant's in seaham..
A great little pub in a wonderful location next to the Pensford Viaduct. The car park only had one parking space when I arrived just after 1pm but the pub wasn’t busy so it seems some are illegitimately parking on the pub’s premises.
We visited for dinner on Friday. My sea bass was delicious and my mum & dad both enjoyed their liver and desserts. It's a shame we were seated by the window, it wasn't open but was still letting in a bit of a draft.
The best Turkish food I had. Perfectly grilled meat, soft, juice👌 blended vegetable soup very rich and tasty. Very friendly staff. Nice service. Definitely will back again!
Amazing food! Had the char Sui pork set meal and it was so delicious! The steamed buns are a must also! Would definitely recommend!! Will be coming back
Nice atmosphere, good range of foods on the brunch menu, lots of speciality drinks, nice coffee. Also like that it is dog friendly.
Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow, staff looked harassed.
When the food arrived the eggs were overcooked, the bubble and squeak was reheated badly, and the toast was served with no butter. The condiments also taste really cheap.
My daughter enjoyed her pancakes but felt that the compote was too tart.
I did mention the fact that it was freezing in there and the door was closed...but within second it was left open again, including by staff. My daughter had to sit with her coat on.
I wanted to love it but it falls short of the mark.
The Food was quite simply out of this world. Our waitress Jasmine was knowledgeable, friendly and a credit to the establishment. Thoroughly recommend the Parson, friendly atmosphere and cosy place to eat what I can only describe as top quality food.
First time we’ve been to the queens head and it certainly won’t be our last. What a beautiful setting, a 15 century pub on a very windy January, walking in to be greeted with an with an open fireplace , fairy lights and cosy atmosphere. (plenty of space too - so it felt really relaxing and not camped in at all) what a hidden gem.
Staff were so lovely and attentive, great help with questions regarding allergies. The Sunday’s roast was perfect, one of our party was vegetarian and did they did a really nice option to have a roast dinner there, which we would recommend, ( We also especially enjoyed the chocolate brownies with ice cream) The food was all presented immaculately- it felt like a real treat. We look forward to returning.
Lovely ambience and service for our brunch as usual. Unfortunately the food was rather disappointing this time with overcooked sausages rather hard beans and other dishes rather tepid. Not really the normal excellent Pythouse standard we have had in the past but hopefully a one off? We had talked it up for our friends who sadly were not impressed and thought it not good value for money. We shall try again in due course!
My most favourite coffee shop in Gloucester. Great coffee, friendly service and delicious food. No better way to spend a sunday afternoon than watching the world go by with a good coffee.
