Brilliant restaurant! The owner and the waitress were brilliant and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. We ordered a mix of food from the menu and everything came out hot and on time as well as tasted great. I love a restaurant where you can tell the owner puts their heart and sole into the food and service. Will be back again ! We recommend the calamari and the surf and turf highly, steak was cooked to perfection!

Had the most lovely night celebrating my special birthday food was lovely considering the staff had to look after 22 of us they went above and beyond. Lovely atmosphere and gorgeous inside they even gave me a bottle of red on the house. Will definitely be going back 🥰

Ignore the one and two stars, the steak here wss excellent, and well worth every penny. My fillet was perfect from the first mouthful to the last and my companion's sirloin was equally tasty. The staff were attentive but not in our faces. Just a lovely steak and wine.

Ordenó un corte compartido de carne ( 2. 6 kg T - Hueso) por 160 libras esterlinas - exhibido por el camarero y se veía muy bien, lo que llegó, sin embargo, claramente no era el mismo corte o, de hecho, la calidad de la carne. Was quite sceptical as the place doesnt market itself as well as other places on the lane. Food was exceptional, best fish ive had in Liverpool, has to be eaten to be believed.

Ordered bread basket (i think that's how it's called on the menu), but got charged (and served tbf) for olive board. Specifically asked the waitress if sauce is included in the price of the steak (because she asked what sauce I want with my steak) and was told it was included, of course it wasn't. She also didn't know the menu at all, had to point at drinks in the menu (Negroni, Campari spritz) so she could write down the names. Service charge was already included in the bill, so the restaurant should be doing much better than this to justify it. Food was good, I recommend Lassos for a starter.

Literalmente nunca escribo críticas, pero me he sentido obligado a escuchar! Visitamos como pareja en una noche muy rara sin niños, así que ambos estábamos emocionados de probar en algún lugar nuevo. En primer lugar entramos y yo había dicho que había reservado una mesa, la chica solo nos miró, el restaurante estaba vacío, así que ella solo dijo sentarse en cualquier lugar. Ella no era grosera, pero solo parecía desconcertada. Acabamos de tener un ambiente extraño desde el principio. De todos modos nos sentamos a pedir bebidas y luego pedimos dos entrantes y nuestra red. El principal pedido de mi pareja originalmente no venía con chips, así que los pidió extra. La chica se acercó poco después para avisar que no tenían lo que había pedido en el menú esta noche, así que pidió algo más (que venía con patatas fritas). Vinieron nuestros entrantes que eran promedio en el mejor de los casos. ¡Antes de que hubiéramos terminado nuestros arranques salió la red! La chica nos miró como para decir que moviéramos los platos. Acabamos de empezar temprano y aceptamos la red. La comida de mis socios vino con papas fritas y luego procedió a traer las papas fritas adicionales de la comida original que se ordenó, que aconsejamos que obviamente no queremos! Pedí espárragos con los míos que nunca vimos! De nuevo las comidas estaban bien, nada que delirar! Tomé el filete y mi compañero tomó un plato de pollo picante. Dado el precio de estas comidas que nos habría esperado mucho mejor y el servicio era simplemente extraño! ¡Ahorra tu dinero y vete a otro lugar! We wanted to try somewhere new and having see the array of salads decided on here. It is one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time! It is a beautifully decorated restaurant with comfortable seating and fabulous music. The menu is varied and had something for everyone. Portions were huge! And food absolutely delicious. The chef definitely knows what he’s doing with good quality ingredients. Our Waitress was lovely and friendly. The owner introduced himself at the end of the meal and offered us a drink on the house which was a nice touch. We couldn’t fault it and we cannot wait to go back !!!!

Beautiful food and very accommodating, we had the tuna salad and chicken wrap. Took a little while to get the food but it was worth it (plus a limoncello shot on the house after our food). Would 100% recommend La Gomera and I’ll be going back myself :)

I'm afraid to say that we have been to the restaurant on two occasions...the first time, the fish was obviously not fresh, and my wife sent the dish back. Last night, we tried the place again...my steak was undercooked, had to have it re-cooked. The fish stew, wow....it's poison, my wife was ill all night, terrible...we left the restaurant in a rush

Wow! Absolute gem of a place to eat on Lark Lane. . . The food was amazing, we had a variety of starters . . mains included sea bass, fish stew and steak . . All cooked to perfection and generous portions. The service was attentive, the chef/owner came to speak to us several times to talk about the dishes and check all was good. Highly recommended. I'd advise not to take notice of reviewers who use SHOUTY CAPITALS anyways. Try it . . . and make your own mind up.

tried the monkfish. The portion was pretty big, which was great, and the fish tasted really good. I also had a margarita, but it was just okay. The service, though, was fantastic. Our waiter was really attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely recommend the place for food

This was our second visit to La Gomera and it didn’t disappoint. Delicious food, and wine, excellent service and value for money. Highly recommend.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS, RUDE MEMBERS OF STAFF AWDUL SERVICE. THE CHEF IS REALLY AGGRESSIVE AND RUDE TOWARDS YOUNG FEMALES. EMBARRASSED AND IMTIMIDATED ME AND MY FRIENDS INFRONT OF OTHER DINERS IN THE RESTAURANT. I MADE A STATEMENT TO SAY I WOULD LEAVE REVIEW AND I WAS TOLD WE DO NOT CARE. £140 FOR A WASTE OF A MEAL. WE WAS THEN FOLLOWED OUT OF THE RESTAURANT AND MADE UNCOMFORTABLE BY BEING STARED AT BY THE CHEF AND MANAGER WHO IS A MALE. IT IS DISGUSTING TO BE TREATED THIS WAY ESPECIALLY AFTER PAYING THAT KIND OF MONEY!!!

We've been multiple times for the chicken and steak wraps for lunch. The wine is top quality and the service is friendly. Great place. We will be back again.

Having never been to Lark Lane, we were blown away by the choices of intimate eating places, think Bold Street but for locals, we chose La Gomera, table for 2 in the window, which was open, like dining overlooking a Scouse piazza, wonderful. Our server was friendly and helpful, even when I asked for something not specifically on the menu. The food, the food was fabulous, the Chicago Rib Eye was perfection, it came with a pretty side salad (my off menu request), our other dish was the spicy chicken thighs, BOOM 💥, lovely and spicy, a huge bowl of them with skin on fries and a smaller salad. The cocktails were great too. Definitely eat there again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was about our 5th time here and it was perfect as usual. Great service. Food amazing get the Texan!! Owner always comes out as ask how you are and how’s the food. Our go to for steak in Liverpool. Thanks again

Well what can I say, never been before but looked at reviews & thought yes I’ll try this. Had the Gomera sharing plate, was absolutely delicious, every single dish of it. One of the best sharing plates I’ve ever had. Had a portion of fries, delicious & red hot. Service was excellent too. Highly recommend

Wow! Atmosphere absolutely brilliant! The food is outstanding, doesn’t matter what you order, it is top quality! I tried fried calamari for the first time and wow, I could have ate 2 plates! Steaks I highly recommend, especially the fillet! Can’t wait for my next visit! Absolutely recommend!

I love this place the food is amazing but has hiked the prices up a little bit which is worth it if the staff levels where more attentive . But for a special treat the food is lovely

I had the garlic prawns starter and it was one of the best meals I have had.Thank you to all the staff for the amazing service everything was amazing.

We go to this restaurant at least once a month, the food, service and staff are amazing! I live by Liverpool city centre but will travel here as it’s far better than anywhere else in the city. Went for my nephews birthday tonight and could not be happier with everything. If you want a relaxed , attentive and great food experience then this is this place to go. Thanks to all staff for just letting us enjoy our evening , not many restaurants do. 😍

What a lovely surprise! An unplanned early evening trip to Lark Lane on a rainy August day brought us to a little haven of peace. Decor, background music and atmosphere were really chilled. Plenty of choice on the menu. The monkfish and the fillet roles were amazing and come highly recommended. Good choice of wines. The owner is also the chef and he came out of the kitchen to chat with us. Will definitely return

Started off we would stay in for a change, Then it was let’s just go for a quite drink on lark lane… Couple of drinks later we walked up with the intention of having a Chinese, Chinese fully booked so let’s just pop into the nearest place, Looked at the menu outside this place, Seemed a little bit pricey but hey ho…. Pops in, place looks very cosy, staff are extremely pleasant, Well what can I say… the price certainly justified the food, Actually feels like this food should be in some toff quarter of the city, but here we are on lark lane, Both opted for the fish and it was perfect, Beautifully cooked well presented, big portions and extremely delicious and flavourful If you want that little bit extra and you’re onLark Lane then I suggest you go here We’ve stumbled upon a little gem here 👌🏼

Pleasant and friendly staff, we have been a few times and had a great time each time. If you want to eat a steak the size of a house cat, this is the place for you. Great choice of wines too!

Over priced. Service slow, seemed understaffed, although they were very nice. Meat on sharing steak cooked variably, could not tell which cut was which. Two prawns and two chicken thighs. Could not recommend this place as a steak house.

Spent a lovely afternoon here yesterday with my sisters. Ishmael and his staff were very welcoming and attentive without being too much. One sister ordered the sirloin steak which was perfectly cooked and the accompanying sauté potatoes and asparagus were gorgeous. The other sister had the seafood pasta which the staff were happy to tweak for her to remove one of the fish options. I had chicken martini with roasted vegetables. Delicious!! The cocktails were very well made and certainly had a kick!! Our first visit but won’t be our last. Loved it - thank you.

Since my previous review some months ago: (Going to Lark Lane? Treat yourself), my wife and I have made many return visits, and I am pleased to report that the standards of food and service have been not only maintained, but increased. The menu has evolved and has become even more varied and creative. Suffice to say, this excellent restaurant continues to go from strength to strength. Well done.

Really good food in general but in particular it's the best Octopus I've had.

Had dinner here for the first time after living in the area for a year. Kicking myself for not coming here sooner - the quality of the in food, the cocktails and the service is second to none. Compared to others on Lark Lane where they lean on the vibe of the area a bit too much and let their service and offer slide a bit, this lovely restaurant stands on its own in terms of quality. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for great food and amazing customer service.

Our first visit and will not be our last, everything was absolutely perfect, food and wine were spot on, along with the service, the decor and low lighting were excellent, at last a really decent Spanish restaurant in Liverpool, well done to the proprietors.

What can I say a hidden gem in the vibrant Lark Lane district! We came here as a family to celebrate my son birthday. The service was exceptional ,very personal nothing was too much trouble!. The food was superb, top quality ingredients ,cooked to perfection ,in an radiant and relaxed setting. This restaurant is one best I have visited in Liverpool for a while and well worth a visit. So such do we are returning back on Christmas Eve for a family meal .

A truly lovely evening meal here with our two children (3 and 7) who really enjoyed the food and were treated with total kindness by the lovely staff. The meat and fish are seriously good quality, and cooked with skill and imagination. The interiors are charming and distinctive, with very nice paintings on the walls and comfortable furniture. I'd very strongly recommend it.

Visited last Monday evening for my anniversary , the atmosphere is special. The staff were so attentive without being intrusive. The menu is amazing, and we can't wait to return to expand our experience. It's one of the most enjoyable restaurant visits in South Liverpool that I can recall for a long time. Thank you

We fancied a light evening meal so opted for mozzarella salads with sautéed potatoes, olives to start. Everything was so so gorgeous and tasted so fresh, the portion sizes were really good too. The atmosphere is so chilled and romantic, it didn’t feel like we were on lark lane at all! The blush rose I would really recommend as well. Easily my new favourite on the lane and certainly for a Mediterranean dinner.

Lovely place; we had the 12oz Sirloin and the 18oz Texan along with peppercorn and Diane sauces. All the food was delicious, staff were lovely and the place itself was really nice to spend time and enjoy lunch.

We ordered lunch and some drinks over the weekend, and we’d totally recommend this. The grilled octopus was probably the best we’d ever had. The staff and location are great too.

My boyfriend and I came here on 25 June 2022. I had wanted to come for a while due to hearing good things. My god, this restaurant did not disappoint! The service was really good and the food was INSANE!. The portion sizes where huge....

Sadly a big disappointment got a steak sharing plater, asked for medium and it came ranging raw or well done, tough fatty cheap cuts, see the pictures for reference. The only reason it's not a 1 star review, is the staff they did compliment our bill 30 pounds, but sadly I just wanted a nice bit of grilled meat. Nice venue but sub par food and no quality control on the cuts of steak or cooking.

Absolutely beautiful food. The steak was cooked to perfection and the sautéed potatoes literally melted in my mouth. The service was 10/10, super friendly, very professional and a lovely atmosphere. We will be back soon.
