We just happened onto this place and we’re so happy we did. Could not tell it was an excellent Italian restaurant from the outside, but we enjoyed it immensely. Will be back!!

We went on a Monday evening and it was so busy. Jessica was our server and everything about the service was perfect- she was very attentive throughout the meal! Jessica told us it was her first week and we was so shocked, and we will be returning in the hope that Jessica is our server again!

Well executed cookery and lovely staff who made my visit very enjoyable. The beef tartar was bold and intense, heavy handed with the horseradish but a delightful and restrained attack on the sense. The prawn ravioli were so beautifully delicate and the earthy whole morel mushrooms are an inspired addition.

Nous avons fréquenté le Harry s Bar à Venise et cela nous avait vraiment influencé pour le choix d'un restaurant de cuisine italienne sur Londres. Un accueil des plus moyens avec une attente interminable pour nous libérer de notre vestiaire. Nous avons très bien mangé : calamars fritti excellents suivis de linguines vongoles topissimes. Quelle n'a pas été notre stupéfaction lorsque nous avons demandé au maître d'hôtel de pouvoir nous appeler un taxis ! Sa réponse : cela est impossible, vous trouverez cela à quelques centaines de mètres. Quel dommage!l'accueil et le service sont aussi importants que l'assiette. Nous sommes régulièrement à Londres mais certainement pas prochainement dans cet endroit !

We were lucky to have a very good friend, who is a long term member, to get us access to this hidden gem. The food was divine. The staff didn’t have a great grasp of English so I didn’t order the main course I wanted, as I was unsure about the waiters answers to my question. This place does great Italian food.

Incredible Italian restaurant with equally amazing service. Pasta was fresh and delicious with the best white wine I have ever had. It’s a fancy place but they were kind enough to not make notice of my converse (sorry about that). Great atmosphere and not too loud so you can enjoy your conversation with friends. This old establishment is probably the best Italian in town .. Being an members' club gives it an exclusivety.. The food and the service is impeccable . We had fish, veal and pasta among us and everyone was heavenly happy. The service is very attentive.. Bar itself has got own atmosphere..Nice selection of various dishes , desserts and wine.. Make sure you make a reservation before you come..

Despite the mind blowing prices, the food and service are once more amongst the best in London. Better value is the set lunch. We had smoked buratta with tomatoes, avocado and quinoa salad to start. We were a bit hesitant but it was absolutely divine. The quinoa was mixed with tiny diced carrots and celery and well seasoned, this was a triumph. I then had salt crust cooked salmon off the trolley (perfectly cooked, moist and delicious) and Mrs R had the most heavenly (her words!) veal liver served with spinach. The sauce was rich and perfect. The service here is always attentive, friendly and welcoming. So nice to see the food once more back on top form.

Amazing spot in Mayfair! Outstanding authentic Italian food and impressive drinks selection - I particularly liked the Japanese Whiskies. Impeccable service and friendly staff. The decor was stunning.

Warm, friendly, and impeccable service goes in hand with some of the best dining outside of Italy. The original, and always in a league of its own.

The restaurant has a good atmosphere and the cocktails are good and the wine reasonably priced. They have gluten free pasta and a good choice of pizza and other dishes - very nice Italian food and it is important to book

Having read all the reviews of Harry's Bar - we gave it a try. The service was so rushed that within 60 mins of arriving, we had finished both hors d'ouvres and entrees! The waiting staff that we had were untrained and barely spoke English, we had to point to the menu to show what we wanted. The minestrone soup was very average and nowhere near as good as cheaper Italian restaurants. The Pasts Vongele was over salted and it was impossible to mix the pasts with the broth it comes in. The rib eye steak was good. Drinks were a crazy price £3.70 for the very small bottle of coke. Nothing was offered with coffee, and we paid for a tiny bowl of chocolates. We get the opinion it is set up as a money making machine - get clients in and out as soon as possible to sell the tables again. It is such a pity, as the atmosphere was good and with a little care and thought, this could be a great restaurant.

Always enjoy eating here. The ambiance is lovely, the staff and very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious.

Harrys bar has to be one of the most elegant and impeccable restaurants in the UK. Food, service and ambience are second to none. The exceptionally accommodating staff are both friendly and understated and the food is superb.

Sin duda uno de los mejores lugares en Londres - Comida absolutamente al punto, ingredientes y una gran variedad. Servicio excelente sin interrumpir las conversaciones. En general el ambiente tan acogedor pero clásico y totalmente sientes que estás en un lugar especial. Me invitó a cenar allí de negocios así que no sé qué la cuenta fue para al final, probablemente mejor de esa manera!

Può risultare parecchio chiassoso negli orari post orario d' ufficio, in particolare del fine settimana. L'atmosfera è tipica londinese zona elegante. Si mangia anche un buon fish and chips.

The first of the famous Birley London clubs, the food is excellent as is the ambience and service; it is - as you would expect of a Mayfair club that caters for the ultra rich - very expensive. Overall very good indeed.

Times are volatile, and in this ever changing world there needs to be some certainties in life. We are going through some convulsions with Europe, and the Marxist left ensure that there is no real opposition to a middling Tory government. That Labour will whinge about the NHS, and won't have a damn thing to say to the private sector, which pays for everything, is certain. That Corbyn will ask idiotic and childish questions at Prime Minister's Question Time is equally certain. That the Scottish Nats can or will ever think about anyone who isn't Scottish.

Easily the best combination of food, wine , service and people watching in London!! The atmosphere is fun and decadent. The very best ingredients imaginable and all utterly delicious. No prices in the menus which means you can order without worrying.....

Recently l was in Venice and had the opportunity to visit Harry's Bar so when in London l was also lucky enough to be invited to this luxurious restaurant, what great service, the waiting staff were just so friendly, the food, choice etc was excellent, well worth the visit and good value for money

Elegant surroundings, and fabulous food served by immensely professional staff. What a treat! Had a bucket list wild kopi luwak coffee for £40! Was left underwhelmed, but this takes nothing away from this occasion. I can’t wait to go back.

Harry's bar a unique experience. The setting is beautiful and genuine. The team is of the most professional and personable. The food is the most exquisite Italian food.

We had a lovely meal here with friends. Great service and much better food than on our previous visit. They treat you like returning family members - but at these prices, you expect it. I had a fresh seafood risotto and then the veal piccata which was tender and delicious. After aperitifs, we shared a single bottle of wine, finishing our meal with a single scoop of HB's ice cream and still needed to take out a mortgage to pay the bill!! £700+ for 4!! I love coming here but at these prices, it is now a very, very rare treat.

Fuimos a Harry's Bar para cenar y pasamos un tiempo estupendo.

Nos encanta este lugar, pero en los últimos tiempos, la comida ha decepcionado y servicio ha sido normal, mientras que los precios han sido los ojos llorosos. Hoy fuimos a almorzar, el almuerzo cuesta 40 libras es de una gran relación calidad-precio comparado con los platos a la carta. El lugar es generalmente menos ocupado en el almuerzo y el servicio fue excepcional. Teníamos Buratta con verduras de temporada - tomates, berenjenas, espárragos patrimonio y así sucesivamente, bellamente arreglada en el plato y de tamaño generoso. La principal fue la ternera asada del carrito. Sabía delicioso aunque la ternera era un poco más preparado y más dura de lo que debería haber sido. Sin embargo, en balance esta fue una gran mejora que en nuestra última visita en 6 meses.

Really friendly staff and what appeared to be genuinely happy staff. Very attentive and very welcoming.I had the main dish which was a vegetarian main option available, but was very delicious. I also sampled a very nice wine. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Whether that be a meal for one or a group , this place caters to a wide variety of needs.

Of course this is a classic in London and as private members club you have to be invited as a guest. It's not been touched since Mark Birley sold it to Caring group and that's both good and bad. The team are great and of course they know 95% of the guests who dine very well indeed. Somehow the food lacked any "wow" flavour so looked better than it tasted. Of course prices of the clock but don't go if you are price sensitive!

Ci fermiamo a pranzo in questo locale. Tipico pub inglese molto carino. Innanzitutto entrando i camerini erano tutti indaffarati e siamo stati per ben 30 minuti in attesa che qualcuno si preoccupasse di noi. Per fortuna abbiamo trovato un barista italiano che ci ha aiutato a prendere posto. Abbiamo ordinato il classico panino con hamburger e patatine. Buona qualità e buoni prezzi mentre darei un 4 al servizio.

This is a happening place and was thronged when I arrived - most people were besuited and doing working lunches - as I was myself. I had a starter of calamari and a naked burger which were both very good - had a couple of pinots too which despite being by the glass were very acceptable. I think this place could be a lot of fun in the evening and I'll definitely go back next time I'm in London. Staff were efficient and friendly too

Nice atmosphere but we had to wait 30 minutes for the food, and the drinks (cider and Coca Cola) was mostly ice cubes. There are many better places in the same area (same price range).

I brought my parents to this restaurant to have dinner and we had a great night, the restaurant was loud but in a good busy laughter filled way, the waiters were fun and yet very efficient and nothing was too difficult, the food was good without being spectacular but the combination of the food, service and atmosphere was superb, a very enjoyable night

The most beautiful and delicious Italian Members Club in London

This really was one of the best lunches we have ever had. Yes the place can be expensive, but their set lunch (with choices) is astounding value at £40The wine list also has some reasonably priced white wines in the £30 area.Service was excellent, the food presentation faultless, really fresh ingredients and large portions.Absolutely delicious.Tips - whilst they require a tie in the evening, lunchtime has no such requirement.The restaurant is quite hard to find as the name sign is discreet, so look for the green striped awnings.

Cavalier, lively and fly. Place to be seen

We have always loved this place and have been members for 15 years. Recently, it has been going downhill. We have noticed that the billing has been becoming inaccurate, with items being added that weren't ours. The service charge, at 20% is amongst the steepest in London, yet the service is not as happy and welcoming as it used to be. More important, the change of chef before Christmas is just not working. The food is becoming minimalistic and bland yet the prices are even more eye watering. Our asparagus and prawn and scallop starter was just as described and bland, no sauce or seasoning. The red snapper on the menu arrived looking very pretty (but small) with a smear of puréed vegetable and on a plate that was far too big for the table we were on. Our sea bass was delicious but the tomato provencale sauce was bitter and unpleasant and just not suitable with the fish. The deserts were nice and we generally had an okay evening, but the bill, £790 for 4 people (including just one bottle of wine for a not unreasonable (for London) £78) was verging on outrageous. We are much less likely to return to this place, I am afraid. There are (sadly for Harry's Bar) other places in London now with equally good service and more reasonably priced for better food. What a shame. Richard Caring had better take another look!!

i have been coming to Harry's Bar for 20+ years. My stomach is always in smiles afterwards. excellent ambience, excellent service, delicious food, romantic, classy, elegant. Ticks all the boxes. The beef carpaccio, the branzino in salt, the pasta - all are to die for. Great wine list. Maitre d', barman, sommelier, head waiter, waitresses - all are stars. one of the nicest experiences in Europe or anywhere. and consistent beyond belief. they just get it right every time. one of my favorites in the world!

You may need some introduction to get in like few clubs in Mayfair. But then once done you will never forget it be forgotten. Remarkable service and I am from theindustry. Excellent food proven through the ages better than many places in Italy!

Had dinner there with friends and had a most memorable dinner there. Service is impeccable, food was absolutely delicious. Just a joy to spend an evening there enjoying beautiful classic italian food served impeccably by very friendly and discreet staff.

Delicious food wine and the service is excellent but the decor and ambiance is so stuffy and old fashioned.

Harry's Bar is a private eatery in Mayfair. Located on South Audley Street, it serves great Northern Italian meals in a nice environment with excellent service. A members only club, access is by invitation as a guest of an existing member.

A 1960's feel to this well known Mayfair eating club, lots of funny English cartoons on the walls, good food, attrociously expensive, good service, needs to update a bit the food and clientele...

What is not to like about this private dining restaurant in Mayfair? The service is about the best in London - and so is the food. This is not a cheap place to eat - and you need to be a member to come here. But it never fails to please and it makes a fabulous evening out. Definitely amongst the very best Italian food in London.

George was full where my friend is a member, so we were asked if we wanted to go to Harry's. Good decision. Is there a nicer room in London to eat in? Lovely Venetian style room, cartoons are elegant, and everything is well chosen -- I loved the glassware, he table cloths and the service was as good as anywhere in Italy. We shared a risotto, followed by veal (me) and beef (my friend). Great, with a red from Sicily (Cos). Free drinks with coffee was a nice touch. Very good Italian food, simple, the best of everything. I didn't see the bill, but I expect it was a very big one.Very tempting to become a member.....

Dined here last night with some business colleagues as a farewell to one of the directors who was retiring. First and probably the last for me. When you enter the place it has real ambience and a genuine touch of class. However, it is all a bit cramped - especially the bar area and the private function room that we were using. The service throughout was pretty good though, but I do think it to be overly pretentious when you aren't allowed to walk through the restaurant to go to the men's room without your jacket on. Overall though it all comes down to the food. We had a set menu which on first glance looked really good, though in the end none of the dishes delivered on their promise. We started with a cold prawn dish which is actually quite hard to describe - something close to ceviche - but not as appetizing. Then we had an overly cheesy risotto which I couldn't finish. The main was two small piece ps of under-cooked lamb - tepidly hot - and some flavorless veg. The fried zucchini was pretty good though. I passed on dessert, which I was told was okay. So first impressions were good, but it just didn't deliver to my palate.
