The best restaurants in England

I came here with my partner for my 30th birthday, we are both vegan so wasn’t sure how well they could cater for us. We had a full vegan tasting menu and were absolutely blown away by the food, it’s the best food we’ve ever eaten, and the staff were so friendly and helpful too. We would highly recommend and will defiantly return for another special occasion.

I visited bakeaholics and got a gift for birthday we were very impressed. We ordered postal cookies and they look fab!!!

Absolutely amazing food i can put my hand on heart and say it’s the best Indian food I’ve ever tasted lounge India you should be very proud of the food your providing.

Their fish and chips are absolutely a1. The most reasonably priced fish and chips I've had in decades. Recommend. Their pea fritter is legendary. Delicious and generous.

Loved our visit staff so friendly made us feel welcome the first time we went in. Customers very friendly and helpful as well. Not doing Sunday carvery till March. Will definitely be going back.

Visiting Barnsley with my son for the first time to watch our team (Exeter City) play mid week. This pub was in the Good Beer Guide so thought we’d check it out. Real pub. Guy behind the bar couldn’t have been friendlier - talking us through the various ales on offer (and even recommending the Heaven & Ale pub across town). When we introduced ourselves as coming from Exeter the barman and the local customers engaged us in pleasant talk re ale, football, Devon …. We returned for a celebratory pint after Exeters 2-1 win and were warmly welcomed back. Cracking pub, great ales!

Fantastic food, lovely fresh produce from Gold Hill organic farm and such a varied menu. Excellent tasty varied menu- changes regularly. All homemade - delicious sweet and savoury main dishes, whether for a meal out or a snack. Very good friendly service and even crochet items for sale and cards. Next door to farm shop.

Amazing food, fast and friendly service. I can’t enough of the pork giro wraps, they’re a banger! If ever I’m driving by I’ll park up across the road and grab one to go. They hardly ever make it home as I just eat them in the car. Highly recommend.

Making a stop here is really special and I go every time I stop in York, thanks to the owner who is a true wine connoisseur you can order a quiet drink from different parts of the world

Best coffee in Skipton. Lovely atmosphere and delightful staff. The scones are pretty good too 😀
