Just a great place, one of my all time favourite bars.

Cannot fault Bella Danny and the team service drink and food immaculate. Nothing is to much trouble. Dog friendly. Love this place.

I really like this place, I especially like their cocktails. I recommend.

We visited for the first time and will definitely be back! The cocktails were STUNNING and it's a realy cosy atmosphere and decor, cherry on top was the super friendly service x

Lovely atmosphere and pizza but not many soft and non alcoholic drinks

2 for 1 cocktails are amazing, great selection of beers and spirits. Pizza is also spot on. It's definitely a place to pop into if you are passing by. The atmosphere is great too, football on upstairs when I've been in couple of times

Can't rate the food yet as we haven't eaten here yet... landlady (can't remember her name) and all her staff are really friendly and welcoming, a nice small bar with a lovely atmosphere to nip into for a quiet drink......or 2!

Lovely bar in centre of Cheadle Hulme with great selection of beers. Real ales plus plenty of craft beer to choose from. Toilets and additional seating upstairs.Some outdoor seating. Usually come midweek to meet up with mates. Far busier on a Saturday afternoon.

This venue has a good vibe and is ideally located for a swift one (or two) before the train. I found the beer a little pricey but you get what you pay for and the service was great. The choice of cask beers on my visit was non existent (They have 4 hand pulls) with only one on offer, but I must say the Sabro Stout was lovely and kept in top condition, I will revisit again but maybe not on a Sunday in hope that more cask beers will be available.

£5 for a 330ml bottle of Guinness Original is a little silly but the place seemed okay. The Chiverton Tap is nicer And £4 for a 440ml can of Guinness 0.0 too. Don’t come here for a cheap night out no matter how you wish to spend it — quite literally 😂

Love this place. It's my absolute go to bar in the Cheadle Hulme area. Amazing selection of drinks, great pizza and the atmosphere is spot on. Can't praise it enough. Staff are awesome!

Went for a reunion get together. 2 for 1 pizzas and cocktails. Absolutely delicious 🍕 and amazing 🍹 The bar staff were extremely attentive. Thank you….we will definitely be coming back x

Had a great gathering with friends, 2 cocktails for £12 and 2 for 1 pizzas excellent quality, staff were wonderful and welcoming, Bella was exceptional , nice atmosphere , great beer and lovely wine. Would recommend

Seems like they're still finding their feet after a recent change of management. It's still a nice place to be, just not quite what it was. I really hope they can find their mojo as this was one of my favourite venues locally.

Wonderful cozy, well decorated bar, opposite Cheadle Hulme railway station. Sometimes live DJs playing chilled out music. Good range of craft beer and lagers- and a good choice of alcohol free as well. Does hand made pizza. Archive reminds me of similar snug places in Shoreditch in London.

Great drinking place with a relaxed atmosphere.

Visited for some beers and food. Beers were okay, but pizza wasn't great, they were undercooked and doughy.

We came as family of 4 for the pizza and cocktail night. Quality put a lot of Italians to shame, fully loaded pizzas working out at 6 quid each on the deal. Beer is also top notch as it always has been here. Keep up the good work, back in a week for more of the same!

Lovely bar and Gabe was an amazing host to us. He made me feel welcomed and he contributed to us all having an amazing night with good people in a lovely bar. I Would recommend gabe 100% lovely kind man and he ran the place impeccably. I would definitely return just for Gabriel.

Wonderfully kept craft beer bar with friendly, attentive staff and a wide selection of well cellared beers. Spirit selection looked quite extensive too. Will definitely be returning and highly recommend you visit

Archive… where do we start? This bar is nothing to look at from outside, a hang up from the previous failed restaurants that formerly occupied the building, but whatever you do, don’t let that put you off! Walk through the door and you’re welcomed into a cosy bar set over two main floors connected by a feature spiral staircase. There’s a mix of tables & chairs, benches and sofas, perfect for hosting groups of all sizes. There’s also a small outdoor seating area. What is a bar though without a range of drinks? This is where Archive excels! A chalk board lists out all of the current range of lagers, craft beers & ales, all of which are perfectly kept (no bad beer or dirty lines in this place). In a side room, there’s a wall of fridges, home to speciality bottled and canned beers from around the world. There really is no shortage of choice in here! The back bar is also well stocked with a good range of bourbon, rum & gin to name just a few. This brings us onto cocktails, oh the cocktails! I have tried many, normally at the end of the night, and none have disappointed. I believe soft drinks are also available although I have never investigated this. Bar food is also available with a range of pizzas being a speciality of theirs. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and skilled. Yet another great asset to this place. Archive may not be the cheapest bar in town but A) you’re in Cheadle Hulme and B) you get what you pay for. If cheap prices and rubbish beer are your thing, this isn’t the place for you. My friends and I, however, love it!

Absolutely cracking afternoon where we went for our first get together/reunion for almost two years. The outside space is really nice and is covered should it happen to rain. All the staff are really lovely and work so hard to make sure the visit is really good. You get the impression that nothing is too much trouble - so refreshing in the current times. Range of drinks top notch and pizzas are pretty good as well. What more could you ask for? Update February 2022. Still a remarkable range of beers, all very well kept. They are maintaining their standards for knowledgeable staff and they're lovely and friendly as well - always making you feel so very welcome. Altogether very pleasant. Update April 2022. Still an outstanding range of cask, keg, bottled and canned beer and they do cocktails as well, although I haven't tried any yet. Different offers different days - well worth a look. And still lovely people!

What a dive. The tables were filthy and sticky. I ordered a pizza had to put serviettes down on the table for the knife and fork. The only good thing the pizza was delicious, best I've had. The staff were good too.

Cosy place across the road from the railway station. Visited with friends. There is a great selection of German beers e.g. Helles, Weißbier, Hacker-Pschorr. Bottles can be purchased for take-away. Staff friendly and efficient. Would recommend you visit this place, especially if you like your German beers! Ausgezeichnet!

Just been there tonight with three of my friends, had the 9% sour beer and 2 hours later the three of us had severe diarhea and vomitting. Will be taking this up as a matter of public health and safety with the relevant authorities, when calling to explain the situation we were asked was it the pizza? Do they poison people with pizza in addition to "off" beer or unclear pipes

Excellent beer, nice environment, still excellent 6months since last post

Dreadful tatty place. Friday night music blasting so loud we had to shout ti each other. No need to have music so loud . Pizzas awful. Base great but awful definitely not proper mozzarella cheese but some cheap tasteless stuff. We could taste it all night!!! Service very h Good hence 2 stars. Never going again !!

Nice bar, great atmosphere, staff are helpful and friendly. Pizzas are really good. The only slight problem if you're chatting with friends is the noise level, some patrons do get rowdy and you struggle to hear whats being said.

Great selection of beers and cocktails. Lively atmosphere. Friendly, accommodating staff. The bill at the end of the night is VERY hefty, however (£125 for 4 people who had about 4 drinks each), which stops us going more than occasionally, and makes surrounding bars look attractive!

Great range but a little expensive

Always has a second to none range of beers available. With dozens of different beers every day it's always nice to come and try something new.

Started great and still is. Nice service, good beer and fair prices, probably a good thing it's not closer.

Very good was working at MyHQ next door and popped in for a quick one, nice staff friendly atmosphere.

Pizza like no other! So tasty, and the dough used for the base makes them really unique. Excellent beer selection and a fab bottle shop to top it off! Always super friendly staff.

Amazing for Vegans, shed loads of vegan beer, vegan pizzas which are to die for, and vegan Sundaes, what's not to love. Staff are safe as houses too.

Really nice and laid back place, had a great range of beers and the person who was serving us was really helpful. The place does not serve food but if visiting Cheadle hulme for a night out or fancy having a decent pint I would recommend this place to be your first stop.
