Really great place with lots of beer choice.

Excellent well kept proper beers. Unfortunately the physical nature of the premises means the layout is awful. It's a corridor. Every customer gets in the way of every other customer. No doubt not a problem Mon Tue Wed but if even half busy it's as I describe. Regrettably. Nevertheless it's the least bad bar in Bramhall. Thank goodness Cheadle Hulme is so close. After seeing the funny side of my review - and writing it on their window ! - how could I fail to correct it to 5 stars !?!?

It should be six stars. A range of beers that would suit the most difficult and some of the most difficult are regular visitors, plus gins, rums, wines, etc., etc., etc. Suits drinkers dog walkers, families, cyclists, seemingly everyone and they have an excellent monthly charity quiz with two really outstanding quizmasters. This place is a real gem and so easy to miss near the centre of the ever busy Bramhall. Cheers to the Mounting Stone.

This was my fourth or fifth visit an ideal pub to stop off when walking my dog. Small, honest drinking house with seating also down in the cellar. Great local ales including Bollington's Bitter, Long Hop etc.

First visit since pre Covid. Not a fan of Bramhall but love this micro bar. Been a few times and always had good beer and a warm welcome. Surprisingly spacious with an extra room downstairs. Pavement seating for four! Had a lovely pint of Bollington Best.

Nice little independent (sister pub of the Chiverton Tap). With a good selection of beers (and not just hippy IPAs) as well as a wide range of gins. They have also refined the wine selection recently, which may make it more appealing for some. Looks small from the outside, but has a downstairs seating area and beer garden, so is more extensive than you'd think. Lovely quirky decor too (I love the table made out of a door! 😀)

I was introduced by a friend and it did not disappoint. The selection of great tasting beers, including their own brew was mind blowing. Customer service was spot in and you just sensed that they had a passion for serving quality drinks. 100% recommend this the mounting stone

As a birthday celebration for our friend we booked a table on the first day of opening after lockdown v.3. A lovely experience in the cosy beer garden with the usual friendly atmosphere, great service and fantastic beer selection. All covid restrictions well observed adding to a relaxed experience. A lovely afternoon.

An afternoon in Bramhall. My local is The Chiv in CH. Popped in for one...Stayed for a few more!! Sometime since I last came here. Another excellent pub. Sat in the basement was different! I would like to try it again but upstairs!

Far and away the best pub in Bramhall. Great range of real ales, friendly folk and Covid safe.

Covid is a mess but these boys are doing all the right things. Excellent beer selection is something that could be taken for granted but it shouldn't. 100% impressed with this operation.

There's always a great choice of ale and a good atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

Came here with friends for post curry drinks. Plenty of decent beers available plus gins and other spirits. Service was as friendly as ever, this is so much better than other pub in the centre of Bramhall.

Absolutely fantastic bar serving a great selection of beers and ales. Seating available downstairs too so don't be deceived by the first impressions because this place has plenty of room to sit and enjoy a few jars with friends. Nice touch with the doors for tables.

I called in here whilst waiting for an appt in Bramhall. It is really good. The staff were helpful, the place is clean. I had a pork pie and a cuppa which were all good,.

This is a great reat little pub with a good choice of beers from a local micro brewery, wines and gins. The staff are also very helpful and friendly.Once a month there is a quiz night in aid of a local charity, which is competitive and all in a great cause.

Very good ales, decent selection too. Even have a dark beer on offer despite the improving weather. I warmly recommend their own "brewed on the premises" pale which they produce using different hops on a rotating basis, never less than excellent. Highly knowledgeable staff, plenty of comfortable seating, friendly atmosphere (a guaranteed NMZ. Meaning "no moron zone") and the staff know about beer and customer service. And believe it or not- reasonable prices. In Bramhall! A couple of beers at this place is my regular reward for getting to the end of a working week without going mad.

Marvellous little bar stuffed to the rafters with interesting things to drink and a few superior bar snacks Bramhall village had been crying out for a place like this as an antidote to wine bars and restaurants.

Always call here for a cheeky one (or two) when out in Bramhall ! Fab selection of well kept beers and nice choices of wines & gin menu ! They allow dogs too ! Its really cosy and they do great pork pies WiFi also !

Good choice of beers could do with a still cider bag in box type like the Chiverton Tap .

Super choice of beers and ambience

Bramhall’s first micro-pub, and sister pub to the Chiverton Tap, in Cheadle Hulme. Good use has been made of the space with a bar against part of the side wall and an eclectic mix of tables, chairs and fixed seating at once creating a homely, lived-in feel. A basement level can seat many more, but it lacks the vibrancy of the ground floor. Get in early though as there is only limited room. Six cask beers always on. Highly recommended.

Nice venue, good atmosphere, bar staff always friendly and knowledgable, great for a few relaxed drinks with friends, whether beer, wine or spirits.

Very expensive over priced for what it is

I'd arranged to go for a few pints with a friend and this is as good a place as any in Bramhall.

Lively small micro pub in Bramhall changing craft beers and good selection of wines gets quite busy.Has a nice rustic feel good for early doors.

We visited the Chiverton Tap and really enjoyed it there. We were very happy to find that The Mounting Stone was a sister establishment and therefore gave this place a visit. We were not disappointed!
