Had high expectations for this cafe, we tried the Sundays roasts during Covid (delivered) and they were a 10/10. We had the large breakfast today costing £12.95. We were expecting good food for that sort of price. Everything just tasted of oil. The sausages were the cheapest of the cheap. Only saving grace was the pot of tea and the fact it was proper Heinz ketchup in a bottle. Certainly was not worth £12.95, I left 95% of my plate. I’ve had far superior breakfasts for under £8.

My wife and I popped in for lunch. The staff were an absolute delight and so friendly, the food was delicious and well priced, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. If only I lived nearer, I'd be there all the time.

Friendly service and good quality food

Delicious, fresh, home cooked meals served with a smile and in a beautiful setting. One can either sit inside the lovely restaurant or else enjoy the secluded terrace outside and enjoy the sunshine and the ambience of the little bustling High Street.

A nice cafe in the middle of Westbury. Great service, down to earth atmosphere and good cooking. Easy access from the street so no steps. Very reasonably priced and good selection on the menu. A big thank you to George who was so welcoming and friendly.

wow, lost for words this place is breathtaking. Came here to see the white horse but was greatly surprised with this gem. Found myself reading the menu for hours it feels like this place is so full joy, light and character by golly i wish i didn’t have to go back taunton in the silly underground tunnels.

My partner and I have breakfast here once or twice a month. Always delicious, plentiful portions, and the service is the best. We always feel warmly welcomed and well taken care of.

Google asked 'has it changed?'. Yes - for the better. If that's possible because it was pretty blinking good to start with!! I again ordered individual items (bacon, fried eggs and fried bread) and a pot of tea. Again, it was a bit big for me. But everything was gorgeous. The stars today were the fried bread (like before) - thick slices of bakery bread properly fried but not too fatty. And the back bacon - nice, thick slices which were super tasty. I'll definitely be back in the future for perhaps a smaller order!! (The photo was after I started as I couldn't resist so the smashed, half eaten yolks is my doing, not theirs...!!!)

It's a cafe. With really nice burgers . And very nice staff. And a good Full English if you fancy . Probably one of the best joints in the centre.

Need a bit of decorating as paint chipped and a bit neglected but the food and service is good 👍

A large breakfast cost £10.95 and you only get 3 mushrooms which was the same on the medium 3 mushrooms I mean that's a bit stingy and our toast wasn't even buttered either I mean it's standard to butter toast unless the customer says otherwise but the food did taste nice and was nice to have runny eggs

Had a lovely 63 mile motorcycle ride to try this cafe. Worth every mile. Such beautiful scenery along the way to be met with a genuinely warm welcome and outstanding food. A proper full English with added black pudding and bubble and squeak. Will definitely be going back and taking mates with me. Other customers were really friendly and chatty too

Must say, i REALLY enjoy coming here. It's peaceful, calm and just a great atmosphere. The music is always great, staff are so friendly and they always remember regulars and their orders. Food is always on point and hot. I love coming here when i need somw me time.

As the family were each doing their own thing for Christmas we decided to meet up for breakfast on Christmas Eve. 4 adults and three children. The wonderful staff quickly pushed 2 tables together for us despite the fact it was packed. Even though we ordered 3 separate orders they weren't fazed at all and drinks appeared almost instantly quickly followed by yummy plates of breakfast. Portions were generous (we didn't finish it all- really sorry) and everything was well cooked. What made it such a lovely Christmas eve family breakfast was just how amazingly lovely the very hard working staff are. Thank you ladies 😍

Passing through Westbury on Friday which I've done hundreds of times but never parked up and had a wonder. Well, I did this time. Me and the wife skipped breakfast so we was hungry but couldn't decide where to go and what we wanted to eat. My wife said "let's go in this cafe" (something we never do) found a table and was welcomed by a member of staff before our bums hit the seat. We both decided very quickly to have a fried breakfast and boy, we weren't disappointed, one of the best fried breakfast's we've had. Could not fault a thing, good food cooked to perfection. Nice friendly staff who worked as a team.

You know, it does what it says on the tin kind of describes what I am trying to say - but sprinkle that phrase with good value, great food that's fresh and well cooked, happy and friendly staff. A credit to our high street and a place I really enjoy going when you fancy a little treat! Chain food venues are dull. Go here - I will continue visiting and wish the team continued success! Thank you for all my delicious breakfasts!!!

This friendly, independent cafe is ALMOST great. Food and drink is fine and reasonably priced. It's spacious. Ambiance was great. But the furniture needs a THOROUGH clean/degrease and the dirty walls need a lick of paint. Come on guys! You can fix this in a day.

Nice food , horrible service. Ordered 16 oz burgers and received 8oz. Don’t answer the phone for 1 hour. When they pick up the phone manager say they can’t do anything about, she doesn’t even care if I’m not gonna order again.I don’t understand how somebody could run a business with this attitude. Disappointing

Great all day breakfast in different sizes to suit the appetite. Very helpful & friendly owner/manageress, nothing too much trouble, asked if the dog could have a sausage & gave it to him chopped up in a disposable dish. Had pot of tea & gave me more teabags & water at no extra. On our way home after a narrow boat weekend, just what we needed to see us on our way. Very reasonable prices! Recommended! Nothing fancy but clean & welcoming.

Just popped in here today. Had a ham sandwich and a cuppa. Both were excellent. Great friendly service and very reasonable prices. Also a bit of a result as Westbury has 2 hours free parking!!

We stayed at a local camp site and visited this cafe for lunch and breakfast, the food was so yummy, very clean and staff were super friendly especially Linda she went above and beyond great service will definitely visit again. Deserts are yummy as well. We heard the roast dinner is super, we will try this ion our next visit.

Where can I start, despite we are coming out of a lockdown hunting for a great Sunday dinner is a challenge in its self, so came across this cafe, we called and placed an order for 3 beef and 1 chicken with some deserts. Now what we got was 4 beef dinners? What can I say about the dinners hmmm stewed parsnips no one explained what was accompanying the dinner and if you don’t like cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire puddings were over cooked as well and dried over cooked stuffing. Also you get free hair in your dinner as no one was wearing hair nets or masks. the only saving grace was the desert for 2 of us the other was a shop purchase bread pudding not homemade. Should I order from there again I would have to pass.

Called in last Sunday for a roast dinner (first time ordering) super friendly on the phone and fast pick up service meaning the food was extra piping hot! They weren't kidding when they said the large was pretty large! Super delicious and will definitely order again 🙌🏼 Can't wait to be able to sit in for a full English again😊

We ordered Roasts and desserts for the first time tonight from the takeaway menu my daughter's choice as a treat for her 18th Birthday. Unfortunately the order was delayed by an hour. However, we had a courteous call direct from the cafe to alert us to this. Our order when we received it was amazing! Best roast potatoes I have tasted in some time! Very generous portions (we have enough in left overs for tomorrow!). Desserts were beautiful we had coffee and Walnut cake and chocolate sponge cake both plentiful and delicious. Lockdown birthday's are the pits but this meal from a local supplier definetly helped!

Very impressed. Takeaway roast dinner delivered bang on time nice and hot. Huge serving and very good quality not cheap and cheerful. Literally like having a very good restaurant roast dinner delivered to your door. If you're thinking of trying a takeaway roast dinner do not miss this one!

Having just moved ro Westbury and not knowing good places for food, we went for the take away roast from The White Horse Cafe. I can honestly say the food is outstanding, the portion sizes are very generous, I had a medium and there is always leftovers. The vegetable selection is varied and cooked to perfection. The meat is tasty and the portion is generous, the gravy is made with meat juices and is amazing. The delivery was quick and always delivered by friendly drivers. I would very highly recommend, will most definitely order again 👌👌

Burger and chips were absolutely excellent. The meat was proper and not like the processed flat burgers you get at most kebab or burger places. Everything tasted fresh and not greasy. Best rocky road I've ever had. I Would definitely recommend! Only downfall was the victoria sponge was really dry and the 'thick' milkshake wasn't thick at all it just seemed like milk and chocolate syrup.

Ordered for the first time with White Horse Cafe this evening, ordered a medium roast and a kids roast - they were beautiful! Huge portions, great value for money, and so delicious. I will definitely be ordering with you again in the future, and recommending you to others. Thank you!

Lovely independent local cafe with a relaxed atmosphere. Good options for vegans: breakfast, burgers, salads and baked potatos. Plenty of milk alternatives too. Very welcoming staff. Dog friendly. Reasonably priced.

Absolutely gorgeous food. We use the takeaway service on just eat. The burgers are out of this world and very high quality. Definitely worth the try!
