Ruchi Restaurant in Rochdale

Friendly and fast service, good variety of food on the menu but no atmosphere at all. I also felt quite chilly sat in the corner so maybe the heating should have been higher. Parking was on the street at the side of the restaurant. This restaurant doesn't serve alcohol but you can take your own.

Always have a great meal good prices

Had a nice 20 minute walk to this restaurant. As we arrived, we could see a screen on showing football. The door was wide open, it was empty, not a single person dining! There was a tin of fly spray on the table, & the distinct smell of fly spray lingering in the air. A fly was in my partner's hair, & when we looked up the place was swarming with flies!!! MIDDLE OF NOVEMBER!!!! A cold NOVEMBER night & there were tonnes of flies. The waiter was brushing the floor ridding the place of the dead flies! We (3 of us) decided against staying. We have dined here a few times previously & it has always been warm, inviting, authentic (nice music creating a pleasant ambience) & a beautiful smell of mouth watering flavours being cooked... sadly Ruchi is failing massively. So off we went to Milnrow Balti, an award winning restaurant with amazing food, great friendly attentive staff & nothing was too much trouble.

From the moment we walked in we were greeted as family and shown to our lovely table, the food was just gorgeous and the ten of us enjoyed every bite. The staff were amazing attending to our every need and even brought out the cake for my grandsons birthday as we wanted to hide it from him. The staff here are amazing, friendly, helpful and find it easy to make you feel welcome and at home . Quick service and the food is authentic and tasty . That why we’ve been coming for years and years .

Went for a lovely meal this evening with family and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We haven't been to Ruchi for quite a while due to the Covid lockdown, but it is still our number one Indian restaurant in Rochdale. Abdul and Petan the staff where very friendly and very accomodating and Abdul even remembered us from recent visits and it was lovely to see him too. Would highly recommend this restaurant the food was delicious and reasonably priced :)

Picked this place by chance. Doesn’t look much, but a decent little curry house with good staff and nice food.

I thought the food was very good here and was on course to give this restaurant a five as the service was also very good. I had a hot spicy chicken ( very tender) lamb and mince dish. My wife, fish balti and my Mum had chicken tikka which was a huge portion. Dad had tandoori chicken which was almost a full chicken. He scoffed the lot disappointingly. Unfortunately marks down following my wife commenting that the decor and toilets were not five star. To be fair the upholstery on my chair was torn. I wouldn't say give this place a miss though because the food and service were first class.

We have never really had a bad meal from here. The onion bhaji is to die for, tonight we tried the chicken pakora aswel. Wow. So nice. Flavoured to perfection. We also tried the shashlick for the 1st time. 1 chicken 1 paneer. Also wow. Never ever stingy on potion sizes, we are taking a doggy bag home which will probably do 2 more meals 😁 very satisfied customers.

20 off our group turned up early at 18.30 but didn't get served til 19.30 with starters and another hour later for mains which were mainly cold but tasted ok but not really acceptable.

Amazing place, great hygiene, beautiful food. The best vegi curry I've ever had. Not only this but the staff are so lovely and helpful. They allowed me to create a curry that fit exactly what I want. And you can bring your own alcohol which is a winner. Would 100% recommend.

An extremely lovely experience. I have been to a few restaurants and this was the first time I enjoyed the food as much as used to back in Sydney. The Tandoori chicken and Lamb were well done. Both tender and juicy with an amazing flavour. I would definitely recommend Ruchi to anyone who wants a dish with great flavour that reminds them of the days gone by.

Excellent food from here every time we order. Chicken toka masala is the only one I will eat from all the take aways in Rochdale. The I in barges are crunchy on the outside just how they should be. Reasonably priced, staff are always friendly and welsoming whether you eat in or order. Very attentive too.
