The best restaurants in England

This small family run restaurant was a delight. Only small point letting down 5 star food rate, pickle tray. For me missing, imagination and fire found in many pickle tray. After that all was great. Starter packed with spices. Main garlic butter Karhai with fish, swimming in flavour, heat and spice, a delight. Will return.

We first discovered Malaysian food in Singapore, at Maxwell's food court. The bar was set high, including a Michelin-stared Hainanese Chicken Rice place. We were not disappointed with JJ's food - super-authentic Malaysian cuisine. Except the weather :-), we could have been in Singapore. What did we have :- Satay Chicken skewers (This was great) Hainanese Chicken Rice (This was great) Laksa Curry Mee (This was stunning) Chicken Rendang (This was stunning) Nasi Goreng Kampong (This was great) Nasi Lemak (This was great) Although not clear from the website, you can sit in too - seating is basic, but we are there to enjoy great food. Highly recommend

This place is my favourite noodle place

My 10 Yr old daughter loves this place, we've been coming here for the last few years for her birthday. "Best rice ever," she always says. Staff are lovely, too, and always give her extra rice to take home.

Excellent Italian restaurant. Great food and drink and good atmosphere. Lovely staff. Great place for a romantic meal or a night out with friends.

We went for Lunch and the food as always was amazing. They have a new menu which had different things on which was nice to try. The waiter(sorry the forgot his name the guy explained to our what was new on the menu).The food is cooked to order and always hot and fresh their ingredients are to a high standard.

Tiny portions of lukewarm food that didn’t taste nice. Also have signs outside on the pavement advertising prices, but when you go in to the shop to order, the prices quoted on the sign outside are only on Wednesdays, yet the sign is outside all week - misleading. Won’t be coming back.

Superb meal. Staff were fantastic and the background music was great. We had pork ribs and duck rolls to start which were amazing. Then a green Thai curry, rice and a Pad Mee and a portion of chips. All incredible. Can't wait to go back.

As always great value breakfast

This restaurant, and its sister takeaway branch across the road, have been serving up elite F&C for the many years I've been visiting when in the area. Today's was no exception. Service is always really warm and friendly too. Hard to think of better F&C really (sides like mushy peas and curry sauce are solid also). If you're anywhere remotely near to Redcar you've absolutely got to come here - wonderful stuff!

5 isn't enough stars for the team at Fitzrovia. They make the space so welcoming and wholesome, which makes it a joy to go there every day. There's every facility you could want or expect and everything is maintained beautifully. I couldn't recommend them enough.

Nice friendly staff food was tasty but have had better. Restaurant was quite cold inside though

ordered fish and chips. chips were overcooked almost burnt and looked as though they'd been reheated. Whole meal was delivered almost cold

Food was absolutely amazing, service and staff was polite, friendly and a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere all in all a perfect evening!

I came here on a Saturday evening for a nice meal with some family and everything was great, the food was amazing and great value (especially the squid, diced prawn tempura and the banana tempura). All the staff were really great too ensuring we were taken care off, and it showed how passionate the owner was towards her restaurant. Definitely recommend for a nice relaxed meal with amazing food.
