Amazing food, ready on time for collection and Excellent service! Had an amazing takeaway from Pan Asian and the food was still hot when we got home to eat the meal. Been going to Pan Asian for many years to eat and never been disappointed. Meals were full of flavours and will be returning to the restaurant very soon when this is possible. Highly recommend Pan Asian and staff are very friendly and helpful.

The food here is great, we usually really enjoy it! But on our two most recent visits my partner (who has a severe nut allergy) has ordered food on the menu that does not specify that it has nuts in and asks for it without nuts. To be extra cautious he has asked upon collecting whether his meal has nuts in, and the staff have informed us on both occasions that the meal ordered does not have nuts in. Unfortunately on both occasions the meals have had obvious cashew nuts in and this has been a real shame as the food is so well cooked, and obviously potentially dangerous to my partner. I would continue ordering from here but unfortunately I cannot trust them now.

Great food, but sadly a shocking customer service and waiting time. Ordered at 18:10, was told it would be 70 minute wait (collect at 7:10). However we had to wait an extra 40 minutes ! There was no apology or explanation, plus due to their COVID measurements in place, had to stand outside to collect the takeaway ! We were not the only ones who had been waiting all that time. We have been a loyal customer to pans since he opened his own restaurant. It is sad to say if this continues they will lose customers :( This was the 2nd this has happened to us. P.S best massaman curry in the area !

As usual the food was fantastic, apart from lack of sea salt and garlic crumb on the calamari. But the service was poor. Phoned order through at 5:30 for a 7pm pick up but had to wait until 7:30 for food. What is going on Pan? This is the second time this has happened and you are risking losing loyal customers. Please do something for next time.

After visiting Thailand several times over the last few years I am always on the look out for top Thai restaurants in the UK. This place tops the lot. Staying overnight at the Premier Inn over the road I decided to give this place a go.. Only takeaways available at the minute but the food was as good as any Thai food I have ever eaten. I went for spring rolls and a pad ka prow moo. Made very spicy as requested, the food was absolutely outstanding. Huge portions, full of flavour and at a very reasonable price. Friendly service from the chef and waitresses. Just wish it was nearer to home for me as I would be a regular visitor. Superb!

Food was delicious, even tailored to your individual palate if you’d like. Staff are very friendly and takeaway was prompt with food fresh as it came out - 10/10. Have also eaten in restaurant pre-Covid and it is equally brilliant.

Due to the current situation with COVID the restaurant is only doing a takeaway service. However, we weren’t disappointed. The salmon fish cakes, massaman beef curry and chicken pad Thai was superb! Thoroughly recommend!!

We have eaten in this restaurant before lockdown for my birthday so thought we would give it a go as a takeaway option. Wow!!! It’s just as good as eating there. Usually with the travel home, food gets cold and taste starts to go, NOT with this place, it’s by far the BEST TAKEAWAY I HAVE EVER HAD!!! Words cannot describe how amazing it is. It’s so flavoursome it’s unbelievable. Please please please order from here and make sure they stay open because I will definitely be ordering again and again

Just ordered a takeaway and it was superb! I travelled from Whitstable (18 miles away) because we have previously had great food sitting in the restaurant. We have been to Thailand several time’s and this place is by far the best Thai food I have had in this Country. Can not recommend highly enough. We had two mains, a noodle dish and a rice dish. All were spiced to our request. All fresh, hot and delicious. I could go on and on but I won’t . Just try it and you will enjoy it.

One of the few places offering take away during the lockdown. We ordered some of our favourite dishes online and I collected them for lunch. Tasted just like sit down restaurant and great service. Wonderful food and highly recommended whether lockdown or not. Thanks Pan!

Having been told many times by different locals that Pan Asian was the best Thai in town, we finally got around to trying it. And we weren't disappointed. My boyfriend and I are big foodies so know a good Thai when we have one - Pan Asian's food was not only super tasty and authentic but also well cooked, used good quality ingredients and we didn't have any leftovers! We ordered take away of chicken Pad Thai and a green curry with chicken and a jasmine rice plus prawn crackers (which were the stronger darker variety). We were delighted with everything and will definitely be back again.

The red and green curry sauce is nice but the meat (any meat) is just added to the sauce and not cooked with the sauce. No flavour to the meat, the chicken tasted more like boiled chicken with curry sauce on top. The staff were friendly, the decor was more like a workman cafe. I wouldn't choose to go there again.

My name is kaytie and I had a large takeaway order the other day for a film shoot in Margate, it was Wednesday 22nd January.I would like to say thank you so much the food was outstanding and Phan is an amazing, talented chef. The kitchen team were so attentive as well.As for Phan's auntie what a host so positive and professional. An all round first class service I will be writing exactly this as a review on Facebook or Google were ever I can. I would travel to eat here again and I am also a chef so totally appreciate the hard work that goes into making a restaurant this good. Yes its up by the train station but a ten minute walk for lunch from the old town gives you an appetite and wow the food is amazing. Chef owned and all the cooking done by him or his Thai staff the food is authentic and very fresh, all cooked to order. I loved the sea bass but then I loved all of the dishes!!!! We went for lunch and it was worth the detour as its affordable abke and absolutely lovely! Oh yes, a good sea view as well!

You might be a bit put off by the location of this restaurant as it is situated between Margate Railway station and slightly faded holiday accomodation but the bright interior is a true forcast for some delicious (and different) food. The sweet and sour chicken stir fry came in a tasty light sauce and the seabass was also well received. Both dishes complemented by coconut rice. The spring roll and chicken satay starters were good too. You can sit in or take away. Good value too.

Simply great Thai food served fresh and fast. On first glance it appears to be a greasy spoon cafe which in fact once was. With tables and chairs you'd see on offer in a poundshop entrance it manages to quell expectations however once you realise that you're not there to be wowed by it's interior but instead eat delicious thai food you'll soon come back, it's now my go to restaurant when i'm in need of a quick hit of big fresh flavours, love it!

Book, sit in or Take Away; possibly the best Thai Food since being in Penang !Green Thai Curry, Duck, Chicken, fragrant rice all cooked fresh in front by two excellent chefs and "Take Away" served with witty banter and good fun, by Natalie and Chelsea; exactly what five us needed and wanted after travelling from Suffolk. Certainly Number 1 on our revisit list when in Margate. Great Stuff !!

Pan’s is a brilliant place to go if you are looking for top quality food, their food is amazing even if you eat in or collect as a takeaway.

It's opposite the rail station and Premier Inn and a long way from other cheapish eating places in Margate. The staff are friendly, the food is genuine (if not up to Bangkok) and freshly prepared and reasonably priced for what you get. No puddings alas. Busy most times we've been there in the evenings.

Visited this little gem last weekend on a club cricket tour of Thanet. We all had a great meal which was beautifully cooked with enough spice and flavour to appeal to all the tastes of our party of 17. The girls serving us were friendly and incredibly efficient serving us promptly as we were hungry after a long day in the sun. Highly recommended from all at Brighton & Hove Crescent Cricket Club.

Visited this restaurant last night as we were staying nearby. It doesn’t look very special from the outside, however it’s fantastic! The decor is quite basic, but the food is made from scratch & is amazing. It was actually the best Thai meal I have had for a very long time. The waitresses were great too & very friendly. Well worth a visit. Highly recommended

I've eaten at Pan's many times and the food has always been great. The Thai staff are polite and friendly. However, our last visit was marred by the rude, abrupt, over-bearing attitude of a new English manageress. I could hardly believe her rude, abrasive attitude towards customers. This woman would be better employed as a guard on a prison chain gang!

Went for our son in laws birthday and the dishes were so watery and very sweet. I had beef in oyster and I really didn’t expect it to be so sweet and very watery.

Popped into this restaurant with some friends yesterday, mainly because we had just arrived at the station and it was convenient. What a delightful surprise awaited us!

What a brilliant "find" this place is - we've been meaning to try it for a while and finally got there. 4 of us ordered a variety of different starters and mains all of which were fantastic. Everything was well cooked hot and tasty - served with a smile and a couple of cold bottles of reasonably priced wine we all left vowing to return soon.

Beautiful food. I can highly recommend the chicken satay which is very authentic. Massaman curry was surberb and you can choose which meat you would like with mild, medium or hot options.

We went to this restaurant on the evening of 22nd Feb 2019.i rang them up and ask if they could cater for us as we do not eat meat ,fish,eggs.they were very accommodating they made us feel very relaxed and comfortable they were so honest and open!!! The girls that worked there were extremely polite and the owner sunny she was just wonderful!!!! Food was really good me and my girl's we're satisfied...with the dishes that came out although I can understand not truly orthentic as Margate is limited to fresh produce!!! But they went out there way to make us feel welcome...

Popped in here last night on our way out. It was packed, always a good sign, but the staff kindly squeezed us in and gave us a table as soon as one became available. Food was delicious and incredibly reasonably priced, wine was great value too. Meal for 2, starters & main and wine for £48. Substantially less than we'd normally pay. Staff were lovely too. Highly recommend.

My family and I visited this restaurant on Friday evening and it was extremely good. We took our 3 children aged 2yrs, 5yrs and 7yrs and they really loved the chicken noodles and rice dishes! The staff were very accompanying with our daughter who has a sesame allergy, they made us feel confident that they had a procedure in place for allergies.Fabulous authentic Thai food, we highly recommend this restaurant!

Beautifully cooked, fresh aromatic ingredients. Very busy when we arrived booked last minute and pleased to get a table, have eaten here several times and again were not disappointed. Lovely bottle of wine and Chan beer.

Wow, really impressed, the food freshly cooked, and tasted amazing with all the lovely flavours. The staff all so friendly, and helpful, you can have your dish tweaked if you like it hot. We all enjoyed our various choice of starters and mains. I had a Chang Beer which was very good, and there is also range of wines and soft drinks. We thought the prices were reasonable, and we will be back in the new year!

You seriously have to go and eat here. The staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble. The food was absolutely perfect. They catered to all of our spice/heat and meat preferences, even our little guy reviewed that his food was awesome and I have to agree. If you’re ever close by, try it. You won’t be disappointed.

My wife and I were recommended to this restaurant, being told that it was not posh, but the food was good. We ordered fried squid and fried king prawns in batter to start with. The starters arrived and I cut into the battered squid, only to see a skinny ring of squid inside a huge blob of batter which was crispy on the outside and soggy on the inside. Not exactly tempura! I could not eat the batter, so I extracted the squid which was absolutely tasteless without the pot of chilli sauce provided. The prawns turned out to be exactly the same, so we called the waitress over and told her we were cutting our losses and leaving. We paid for our starters, but did not eat them and then went to Ramsgate to the Thia Orchid and had a lovely meal which was cooked exactly as Thia food should be.

Quality fresh food. The flavours were amazing will 100% be going back again and again with friends and family. Can’t wait👍👍👍

This is the tastiest Thai food I’ve ever eaten! You can see the chefs cook the food to order. Very soft meat and perfectly cooked vegetables and mushrooms etc. Booking is needed to get in here! Try this place, you will not be disappointed!!!

Pan’s is the best place to go if you fancy too quickly Tai food. The food portions are always big and delicious. Definitely recommend to book especially on the weekend, due to being a popular Tai restaurant in the local area.

Pan Asian is a nice friendly restaurant overlooking the sea. You will love the big portions of freshly cooked Thais food. Home made starters are delicious. Booking is essential at weekends.

To be quite honest, this is probably the best Thai food I've ever eaten. It was scrumptious, a word I do not use lightly! Go forth and enjoy!!! Beef massaman curry was sublime. Would have eaten the plate if I could.

One of the very best places to eat in Margate. A small, friendly restaurant and frequently full in the evening so its best to book. Mid day to 2pm is recommendedl and its closed on Sunday and Monday.

I Have been here a few times now and can say the food has been amazing everytime! The staff are friendly and the food is always fresh . The vegan meals are amazing and I love that I can come here with my meat eating friends and that the the staff understands vegan and it isn't a problem for them to cater to different dietary requirements. All in all this restaurant is by far the best Thai I have ever had and I wouldn't go anywhere else for Thai!

I’ve eaten at Pans 10 plus times, I used to eat when he was the cook at a previous restaurant and followed him to his own place as the food is just so good. The only criticism I have ever heard is that if there are four of you eating not all your dishes come out at the same time. But I was pre warned about this on my first visit and so had no problem with it. You need to remember that this talented chef cooks it all himself, so go for the experience. If your in a group, chat, catch up , enjoy your friends company, don’t get hung up on when the food is served, don’t be polite and wait for all the dishes to arrive (Ps we ate there tonight , 4 of us, and from the first main to the last main was a gap of 4-5 mins, nothing excessive ) , the quality of the food, the flavours , the presentation are second to none and I’ve eaten Thai food all over the place and have yet to find anything that comes close to Pans. I have slowly worked my way through the menu over several visits and have enjoyed every dish so far. I’m not going to recommend any specific one, they really are all that good. My partner and I always ask our children where shall we go for your birthday meal and they always say Pans. I’ve not posted before about this hidden little gem because I’m guilty of only posting when motivated by a bad experience , I’ve never had one at Pans and so walk away happy, always shake Pans hand and thank him for an excellent meal, but tonight I decided to give credit where it’s due and to say thanks for so many wonderful meals. Keep up the good work and looking forward to our next visit .

The food here is as good as any Thai food I have eaten anywhere (including Thailand). This is not a smart restaurant and the atmosphere is informal but the food is really great and the service friendly and efficient. Prices are very reasonable. I couldn't fault it!

Great food and good service Customise your dishes to suit your test. Ie I changed my dish from chicken to duck for a small but fair fee.

We visited Pan Asian recently for the first time and found the food was of good quality, authentic and very tasty. The owner and staff were genuinely friendly and we experienced good service- our waitress Maria was pleasant, friendly and responsive.

this was the best Thai meal I have had. Went last night with four of my family. Food was excellent, service was great and the ambience lovely. Very friendly and personal. My Tom Yum soup was HOT and fabulous! I can highly recommend this restaurant to all Margate visitors and residents

Been here the second time I was in Margate , really friendly staff as always. The food is good but I enjoyed the food more the first time I went , because I had the beef and it wasn't as tasty as before . Saying that I will go back and try again.

Been to the restaurant before it was lovely, second visit i ordered Sea Bass, i have sea bass all the time. The presentation was lovely but it wasn’t Sea Bass it was chunky like Cod, I didn’t say anything at the time because we were with friends. Very underhanded.

They have gluten free soy sauce 😍 a good understanding of their food and the ingredients. I was well catered for as a Coeliac. Sat right by the front door was the only down side.

The food here was just insanely good, I couldn't have enjoyed it more (I had Beef Massaman curry for mains). Their service was very friendly and relaxed and was very pleased to see them so busy as it's well deserved. We did have a table booked that seemed to be forgotten about and we weren't told at the start there was a time lint on our table so a little fine tuning is needed on that side of things but that's just teething troubles and superfluous to the quality of meal you receive. Absolutely must try!

A group of 6 of us went to Pan Asian last night. Amazing! Wide selection of dishes, all of which had so much flavour. You can pretty much have any dish with any meat at the heat you want. I went for the Jungle Curry which was spot-on. Starters, beers and wines were good, service was great and all for less than £25 a head. Highly recommended...!

Took our 11 year old son for a treat here as had heard it was great. We were not disappointed. The food was probably the best Thai I have ever had. It was delicious. We were asked what strength we wanted our food ie hot medium mild which suited my son and us. I had the Panang curry which was divine. We all tried each others, as you do and loved them all. We were sat next to the bar so we could see the chef cooking. They were extremely busy with both customers in the venue and customers arriving for takeaways but that did not in any way impede on the service we received. The staff were friendly and polite and we will definitely be going back.
