Manzil Spice in Sheffield

The food is amazing, the portions are generous and the atmosphere is great at Manzil Spice. My favourite dish was the massala fish which came sizzling on a bed of onions on a hot skillet - and the chicken bhuna was lovely too. I couldn't eat it all as I had too many poppadoms! We went for an early dinner on a Saturday and there were already plenty of other tables filled, so I'd say it's a good idea to book.

A great meal with starters and poppadoms was enjoyed by our dining group. Very generous portions meant doggy bags! The staff were brilliant and attentive. Reasonably priced, would recommend

A great little surprise with outstanding food and service. Both Maz & Naz are attentive with their service and make dining with them enjoyable. The food was wonderful and cooked to perfection. They even were able to do a very mild dish for one of us. The spices don't over power the ingredients of the curry and not watery sauce. It's clear the chefs ( formerly at Mangala) know how to cook and present authentic curry that gets it right. Will be back.

Very tasty food and excellent service. Staff are courteous and helpful. Made me comfortable and took the order according to my wishes. I wanted extra spicy and they did an excellent job. I would very highly recommend this place. Not expensive and very good value for the money. Kind regards to all the staff. Keep it up.

Me and my family have been to this restaurant a couple of times now and it’s fantastic. The owner and his team are simply incredible, the staff do everything to ensure you have the best dining experience. Warm, friendly, kind, generous people. The food is delicious, from the starters to the mains the food does not disappoint. The size of the dishes are spot on, you get plenty of food. The flavours in each dish really hit your taste buds from the first bite to the last. When the owner found out it was a family occasion he even gave us two starting platters on the house, which I thought was incredibly generous. But he didn’t stop there, after our meal he came out with a celebration cake for the table. Which he had sent a member of staff to go and buy for us and again this was on the house. I will definitely be coming back, time and time again. These guys just know how to create the best dining experience and serve the most beautiful food. Love this place. Thank you, and I can’t wait to come back.

I’m a curry person and I’ve tried many curry places in Sheffield. This has to got to be by far the best, the service was brilliant, maz was so welcoming and went above and beyond for my family. From ice lolly’s for kids to a birthday cake for myself. Will 100% be coming back 👌🏼

they kept changing the delivery time . eventually food arrived late and was cold and not tasty. bland! how on earth can yoy make Indian food bland? and how do they have rating of over 4? friends and family?

Really sorry to feed this back! usually outstanding veg dopiaza but this one is not great at all. it looks completely different, texture different, it looks as if it's been re-heated rather than freshly cooked (unless different chef)and is not the lovely freshness I've usually experienced. Really disappointed. Sorry! The bhai's were great though.

First time visitor. 3 of us were all impressed with the service, the staff altered dishes and offered suggestions to accommodate us. Staff were friendly and attentive. The food was just fabulous, fresh, spicy(by request) and generous portions. We loved it and will definitely be going back. They are just about to start delivering (yay!) First time here and certainly won't be the last... Booked for 3 but one of our party was running late due to having to stay longer at work, so the owner gave us complimentary poppadoms and a pickle tray to nibble on until our number 3 arrived. The owner then insisted on offering us complimentary starters of onion bhajis and fish pakoras whilst we waited for our mains.... Such a nice guy and I don't know if this was because our friend was late due to her NHS role as a nurse or whether he just loves treating his customers to extras... Either way what a lovely thing to do, on a busy Friday night I was expecting them to be frustrated that we were occupying a table for 3 hours+ but no... The whole team despite my friends lateness couldn't do enough to make us welcome and remove any awkwardness... Amazinggg... And yes!!! The main courses were fabulous too... I couldn't finish mine (generous portions) but they were more than happy to offer a 'doggy bag'... I honestly was baffled by their patience and kindness.... I know a lot of restaurants give you a table for 2 hrs max, especially on a busy Friday night... Please visit/book now and tell your friends to go too... You will be looked after 100%.

Wow! Maz, the owner, of this incredible restaurant along with his sister Naz and the rest of the team are genuinely caring about their customers, they can’t do enough to make you feel welcomed. The food they serve is definitely the best curry we have had in a long time. We’ve been here several times now and it just gets better with each visit. If you are after a great tasting meal, cooked to perfection with the softest, most succulent meats and fabulous tasting ingredients then this is the place to be, 110% recommend you give this restaurant a try, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed! 8 of us attended the restaurant for a family meal and honestly we were blown away by the service and attentiveness of all the staff, in particular the manager/owner who literally could not do enough for us. Some of our party were indecisive as to what to order and he made top quality recommendations and even provided tasters to ensure we were ordering correctly. Very good food and exceptional value for money. We travelled from Huddersfield and would return again due to the level of excellence throughout our experience. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Absolutely beautiful restaurant! Cannot recommend this place enough. We came for my Mum's birthday and she was treated with so much respect by all the staff. I told them before we came that it was her birthday and they kindly arranged a cake for her as well. The food was absolutely delicious. As customers that used to love going to Mangala I can confirm the taste of all the dishes we had did not disappoint. Excellent service and will definitely be going again soon!

Have been here a couple of times now and the service is very attentive something that I don’t see in a lot of busy restaurants and the food is exceptional. I’ve had the mix platter as a starter shared with my son has pretty much all of the starters in one place I love the lamb chops cooked to perfection. And for mains I’ve had the lamb on the bone curry very delicately spiced and easy on the palette highly recommended!

Visited this restaurant on Saturday for the first time (group of 4), after a work colleague recommended it and we were not disappointed. Staff were extremely welcoming, Maz was so knowledgeable of the dishes, he recommended the fish starter, which was incredible. Best Raita I've ever tasted and we all agreed the food was absolutely on another level. Will definitely return. Thank you for the exceptional service and food, and for making us feel so welcome.

I had a lamb handi, a meat curry with garlic naan. It was delicious, tender and full of flavour. The naan wasn’t over powered with the garlic, just perfect! If ever in the area you need to pop in.

The owner was very welcoming, the service was excellent and the food was top class. They were the best samosas I have had in 25 years in Sheffield. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. We would happily recommend Manzil spice.

Second visit to this beautiful little gem , and I can not wait for the 3rd! We shared a mixture of starters including light crispy Bhajis, tender juicy lamb chops and a tastiest Seekh kebab to date. The food was all all cooked to order and the quality did not disappoint , 10/10 atmosphere , and the restaurant manager was very attentive , offering an excellent insight into the dishes and their spice levels. We had Desi chicken Karahi and lamb bhuna for main, these were both absolutely divine paired with a Garlic Naan. Completely faultless evening , can not recommend this place enough.

Mazher and his team were fantastic. The welcome, service and food were first class. Mazher took time to chat with us about his philosophy for his restaurant and his personality and customer care shines through. The food was delicious. First time visit and will definitely return. Food was freshly prepared and tasted absolutely fabulous. Portion sizes were more than ample. The sharing mixed starter was to die for especially the masala fish !! Service was prompt and efficient but not rushed which was a pleasant change on a quite busy Saturday night. Lovely comfy and well spaced seating with a modern, clean and warm ambience. Highly recommend.

I've been to Manzil a few times since it's opened and the food has always been incredible, and the staff always lovely. But tonight, on Christmas Eve, they went above and beyond! Complementary poppadoms, a free dessert and drinks, as well as good food and warm welcome. Really appreciated the gestures and will make Manzil my go-to place for any special occasion :)

It’s very rare I rate anywhere 5 stars for everything but this place deserves it . The service brilliant as soon as we walked in . Every dish we had was delicious. We all agreed that this will be the first of many visits .

After a works event nearby my friend and I decided to grab a meal, to our luck there was a table available as a couple had cancelled. Service was second to none, polite and friendly staff giving the most care with our orders. Would recommend highly to anyone needing a nice quiet night out. A***

Best Indian restaurant in Sheffield. We got lucky as a nearby restaurant was fully booked so came here. Owner was very friendly and have amazing recommendations. Great food and drink can't recommend highly enough. Foot on point and innovative too.

Went here to eat but was quite dissapointed. We ordered 1/2kg lamb handi, butter chicken, tandoori roti and naan. The food lacked flavour, the lamb handi was meant to be apna style, but did not have much taste at all, in fact I had to ask for extra salt and lemon due to it tasting bland. Butter chicken was not butter chicken at all, it had a tomato style gravy which was red looking (as you can see in the picture), and also did not have much wow factor. Butter chicken should be creamy / yellow. I was told when it first opened the food was great, however it seems now the prices have gone up, and quality has gone down. £3.50 for one tandoori roti is also very extortionate!! If you want somewhere authentic with Indian/Pakistani food, I would stick with Akbars in sheffield or rotherham. And also 'Apna Style restaurant' for a proper lamb curry. Sadly will not be going here again.

The majority of the main dishes are small and overpriced. We spent just over £40 each for a starter, a main, 2 rice and 2 naan and 2 beers. The rice was tasteless, the naan was good, my main of 500g of handi lamb was decent too, but my friends' fish dishes were tiny and not very flavourful. The server was very informal wearing jogging bottoms and some of the staff were miserable looking. No one asked how we found the food and no one said goodbye. It just all felt very average and very expensive. Not recommended.
