Actually, the food was good but the issue is with the hospitality of the staff. As a customer, I expect a generous way of communicating but the attitude of the staff were not up to the mark.

I had the vegetarian thali which comes with three curries, a scoop of rice, poppadoms, raita, mango ras, and 2 chapatis. It was amazing!!! The quality of the food was good. I appreciate the cleanliness as well. The rate of thali is reasonable as well. However, I was disappointed by their service. They were not at all friendly. They didn’t even care to greet their customers, and the way they interacted with us (me and my friend) was not impressive. We wanted to order some more, but their way of communication stopped us to make further orders. Also, I feel like it would be nice if they increase no. of chapatis by 1 or 2 in the thali. There are three curries but just two chapatis of a normal size. It’s practically not enough.

Excellent food but not happy with the service. Ordered 2 x meat meal deals for delivery. One meat dish delivered and one vegetarian lentil dish delivered. Flagged it with UberEats and received £1 refund. I think that I should have received a refund for the full amount for the meat dish ordered so I sent another message. No reply. The person I was sharing the meal with can’t eat lentils so it was a dissapointing meal overall .

Most expensive restaurants, quantity is like peanuts and prices are like diamonds, i am recommending this restaurant as your last option to eat on earth if you face apocalypse. Packaging is pathetic, who packs mango lassi in plastic box??!!?? No sense of presentation. Horrible, pathetic and overly overpriced

I had the meat feast combo that comes with chicken curry and keema curry, rice and a quarter of naan. Overall it was nice, friendly and quick service. I just think it should come with a bit more naan 😅 💷 £13.50 was a bit on the higher side for what it was taking in account the location. This dish is halal and they have several halal options available.

I went to cutlery works their I found a kitchen which is called MABA🥰 I felt love with that food it remains me my home india I have traied meat thali which is so delicious they gave us chapathi,sweet, raitha….. their are many items in one plate Iam very thankful to MABA for that food and service…😍🥰…..Thank you

I heard this was voted the best food hall in the country. I came down from Newcastle and it was well worth it! The food was incredible. Next time I’m in Sheffield I’ll definitely be back here.

It was the worst experience , I will not recommend Ma ba , they charge every 1 or 2 pounds extra on combos and if you ask why this extra change they simply say the machine is showing this and we can't do anything and the actual price on the menu is different. I ordered 3 starter combos It was 15 pounds but they charge 16.50 pounds, and my other order of meal veg combo was 34 pounds but they charge 35 pounds, and when I asked the lady simply said it was showing in our machine we can't do anything, and not even ready to apologise. The staff there don't accept their mistakes and start arguing. Food is also not that nice.

It was worst experience with Indian restaurant so far in UK. They charged us extra £1.5 for starter and £2 for food because of some issue in there menu system. Staff didn't even accepted there mistake and argued with us. It ruined the nice weekend lunch mood. Food is also not that good. They didn't even served hot Naan and rice. Samosa's were also not that good. Considering the food quality it's highly overpriced than other Indian Restaurants in Sheffield.

Used to order from here on Uber eats quite regularly. Food isn't bad put the prices now are ridiculous for what you get. Curry that tastes good but looks like it's come out of a big stock pot and some boiled rice, so don't know why the massive price hike. 5 tiny starters for £25. Not value for money at all unfortunately. Maybe it's cheaper when eating in and they've just overpriced it cause Uber takes a big chunk. If not, I'd recommend going somewhere else with equal or better food at a more reasonable price.

First time eating at MA-ba today. I plumped for one of my favourites, the classic Tarka Dhal, here served with rice, bread and yoghurt dip, plus I ordered a Rose Milk. Easy to compare the main against all my other experiences of it, this did not disappoint. So full of flavour and cooked to perfection.The good sized portion made a satisfying main and the bread and dip made a lovely accompaniment. To top it off the Rose Milk was just sensational. All for under £15. What's not to love. Thank you MA-ba, I'll be back!

I ordered take out from here, the half and half veg meal with dal and chole that came side by side in one box and rice that came in another box. Also ordered rice with matar paneer. The portion sizes were good and were more than enough for 2 people. The taste was excellent, authentic indian and the flavours and spices hit just the right notes. The paneer dish contained a good number of paneer pieces which is quite rare in Indian restaurants. I would order from here again.

Absolutely incredible food. Probably the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Very generous portions, beautifully cooked, great selection of vegetarian dishes too.

I tried out Ma-ba for the first time on Saturday and I was quite impressed actually! The food arrived well within the stated time and the taste was just lovely. I had the masala chips, chickpea curry with rice and popadom with a pickle tray. The masala chips were very generous in potion and well seasoned, they were very enjoyable. The curry was very flavoursome and reminiscent of the authentic flavours i grew up with. The spice levels were a bit lacking for me personally but it still had a good level of overall flavour. The portions were decent sized too. The only downside is that my popadoms were missing so I can’t say if they were good or not, but I did get a refund for that which was surprising and appreciated. I really recommend eating here and I will come back to try other various dishes!

Given the reviews, I decided to pay 5.50 for a pani puri in the hopes that it would at least be acceptable. Yet, to be absolutely honest, the flavour had nothing at all in common with pani puri. I've eaten a lot of pani puris, but this so called pani puri is the worst I've ever had. I asked where the sweet chutney or meethi pan was, the lady said that they mix it all together. That didn't taste anything like an Indian pani puri in the least. Don't try to trick people into thinking this is the taste of the delicious pani puri by using this flavour. I didn't order anything else after that one order. Instead of eating at MA-ba, which is where I had originally intended to dine, I instead had Jimmy's Burger and Greek God's Cuisine.

I had delivery. Meat/vegan mix and rice. Plus poppadoms and dips. One of the best meals I've eaten ever, and certainly in Sheffield. Just the right amount of heat. My mouth is still humming. Almost a perfect 5.

In the picture you see a plate of Sunday Special “MEAT THALI” and a Wrap “CHICKEN TIKKA NAANWICH with MASALA CHIPS”. The portion sizes are just perfect. I am sure I will come back here. I visited MaBa this morning. Lovely welcome from the proprieter Mrs Patel. I asked for a light snack meal and she recommended samosa chat. It was scrumptious. Juicy and crunchy and full of flavour. I have never had anything quite like it. Thanks. I certainly intend to be back when I next visit Sheffield. I strongly recommend MaBa to anyone.

Catered for our charity event, amazing prices and catered for vegetarians and meat eaters, vegetable samosas and onion bhajis were great too. More then enough food, portion sizes were generous. Lovely staff Would definitely recommend.

Catered for our event for 80+ people last night. This was at short notice as we were let down by another caterer, and Ma-Ba were so lovely, helpful and efficient. The food was fabulous, everyone commented positively- tasty, succulent chicken curry, vegetarian curry was delicious amazing samosas, bhajis... Good luck to you! We will see you again soon.

Sometimes finished off plates tell a better story than full ones. That's how delicious and homely has been my experience with Ma - BA, from 4 outings. Must visit for all who crave homely food, especially if you are a Gujarati.

I love this place, closest to my mums cooking I can find in sheffield!! Delicious curries and always so quick! Only one less star because every time I order I ask for extra chillies/spice and they never do it :(

Really good, tasty food, with generous (for cutlery works where most portions seem a bit on the small side) proportions! will be returning probably to just eat from here it was that good :) We had the veg mixed plate, each curry was delicious and it came with some bread and yogurt sauce too, all nice touches. Thanks to the Chefs!!

Can't recommend enough. Had the chicken curry meal deal with paneer aloo tikki for the starter and it was fantastic. The portion was pretty generous and everything was full of flavour and perfectly cooked. The curry itself was particularly good, nice and warming without being too spicy and the chicken was so tender it just fell apart. Not that I needed them but there were plenty of veggie options too.

Really really disappointed! Had a takeaway from here and it said gluten free next to the items on Uber Eats. I tried to ring to make sure they were completely gluten free because the starter looked fried. They didn't answer.. They put a note in my order to say they were fried in the same fryer! It was a bit late to send a written note. They could have simply called me back to inform me and maybe swap out the poppadoms and starter for something I could actually eat. I've eaten here many times and presumed it's suitable for coeliacs but obviously not. It's very misleading for someone who has to be so careful with their diet 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 Not happy that they never called me back even though I left a voicemail and text. I'm not normally one to complain but it's very poor 😏

Indian flavours were bang on..! Good enough portions for one person. I had a vegetarian Thali and it exceeded my expectations 😊 Will definitely visit again :) On a personal note, sure shot remedy if you're missing Indian food and feeling homesick .

Good food.. however food tends to be underseasoned slightly.. needing more salt and lemon at times - especially in the Mutter Paneer. Sunday Thali is nice.. but would rather have 2x Channa Masala or a portion of Mater Paneer than the Roasted Cumin & Spinach Daal Curry. Sad the sunday thali also does not include dhokra anymore. Please could you also confirm if the Naan you have is made from egg - as it may be better to provide roti for those who are Hindu Vegitarian

Order a meal deal on delivery from Ma-Ba it was really well priced and the food was delicious ! I was really impressed with the aubergine curry it was really unusual and tasty. However, I might be wrong but I’m pretty sure the Naan we had is one of the big ones you can get in Tesco and I usually have them at home anyway - I was expecting a proper homemade Naan was a bit disappointed. It didn’t really have any nice garlic butter on or anything and let down the rest of the food. If the Naan improved I would definitely order again or come in as the rest was great !

Weird experience tried to order on the mobile which took a lot of time to get used to. Service was a complete mismatch, some of us finished before others had even got there meals due to being able to order from multiple venders. Portions size seemed very different between venders. Interesting to see dogs were allowed. Was a nice atmosphere and good experience, would like to try when a little quieter.

I was looking forward to my meal at this vendor and was not disappointed, The service was quick and food was delicious. I had the Bhaji Burger meal. I would highly recommend and If I come back I will sure try something else off their menu.

All I can say is "Get some food from here!" Absolutely amazing delivery of epic proportions. Three of us could not get enough, and believe me there was more than plenty ( I still have some left for supper after 2 servings!) Went to cutlery works Saturday night which is a big shared converted steel works with an assortment of bars and restaurants. You can find a table sit down and order off the app saving you from walking around, I Had the CHICKEN TIKKA NAANWICH at £7.75, chicken tikka served in a garlic naan with onions, tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce, mint yoghurt and sweet chilli sauce including a portion of masala chips. My partner Had the Meat & VEG COMBO with Rice, chicken curry and Channa masala at £9.20. All this was delicious and full of flavour,

I went to cutlery works and decided on a Bhaji Wrap from here and was not disappointed. For the price I expected a small wrap but it was very filling and sob so tasty. The wrap came with some crisp type things which weee a delightful bonus

Thanks to Mrs Patel who served us. She advised for a snack meal and the food was great. I had a wrap with bhadji and salads and chutneys in it. My son took a delicious aubergine curry with lentils and spinach. I hope to go back some time. The mango lassi was super.

It was the 1st visit to cutlery works and Ma Ba. I ordered the curry where you can pick 2 or 3 curries to have in the same dish. It came with rice, nann bread and raita. I'm mor vegetarian but thought I would try it. It was delicious and will definitely go back again. Planning on going back this Sunday.

In the Cutlery Works at Neepend. Lots of atttractive outlets, but we went with this one. Tasty aubergine curry with rice and nan. Large homemade samosa as a great choice if you do not want a whole meal. Lively atmosphere- great place to be to wile away some relaxing time with friends and family. Shared space for all, from babes in arms to oldies like us.
