The best restaurants in England

Ordered a takeaway from here, the advertised wait time was 45 minutes which seemed reasonable. Once we had placed our order the time instantly changed to 1 hour 20 mins. Unfortunately as this was via Deliveroo we could not cancel. After just over and hour and 20 our food had not arrived so I called the restaurant only to be told they were very busy and had been a mix up with the order and to give them another 15 minutes. It was a bit longer than that and food eventually arrived 1 hour 45 minutes after ordering. The food itself was hot and tasted great and if the wait had been reasonable and I had been given the timescale up front (in which case I would not of ordered the food) it would of been a strong 4/5 rating so I would recommend calling directly and checking wait times before ordering.

Lovely welcome by staff members, after sitting down was immediately given menus and asked if we would like drinks and poppadoms. Large variety of choice, with Chef recommendations and specials. The food was delicious, my husband had the mixed tandoori grill which came with a naan and salad, said it was so tasty. I had sizzling chilli paneer and my daughter had butter chicken. Both extremely tasty. Samosas and onion bhaji very good. Seating very comfortable, ambiance tasteful. Will definitely return.

Iconic and surreal dishes, anxiously served in an unnecessarily chaotic context. There is something brilliant... but at times incomprehensible and incompatible with the rhythms of the banquet.

Lamento oír que este restaurante ha cerrado desde entonces. Tuvimos una velada fabulosa allí con los socios de negocios, y era comida verdaderamente deliciosa, y el servicio más atento. La atención al detalle, la combinación de sabores, el calendario de los cursos y la calidad general fueron excepcionales.

Excellent visit to Hickory smokehouse with my parents today for lunch, service and food was outstanding. I can't recommend enough James our waiter was very accommodating and very generous. We can't thank him enough. We will definitely be back soon. xx

Our server Mykhalya was brialliant. Done the bottomless brunch and got loads of drinks made by Tabs. Fantastic day out.

70th birthday surprise, setting is nice but it was a themed tea so set menu which was average for the price (£300) with a few extra drinks for 7 guests for a cold buffet not sure it adds up. The Staff are very polite but apparently you could choose from a separate menu if you didn’t want the afternoon tea, this was not offered until I asked later to which the waitress apologised, to late by then. All in all as a 1 off different but don’t think a revisit is on the cards.

I went here with my Long term Partner for Christmas before Covid. Again.... It was all kinda new to him! He was also excited to go to Hamleys Toy Shop which was also just on the Regent Street. So very well located for children. The Langham Hotel also has a pool. The Staff were so fun and pleasant. A lovely group of Staff. I had so much laughs with them a complementary Homemade Christmas Pudding was sent up to the room. Thank you to Staff of the Roux at the Landau. I was hoping you would be reopening after Covid, but alass. Wishing you all success in your chosen paths and thank you for a memorable heart warming memory x

our server jess was absolutely amazing. she gave me a card but the qr code wouldn’t work. she was so welcoming and funny and i couldn’t recommend tuttle bay enough just to get service from her. will deffo be coming back just to gossip again!!!
