Lovely visit to this cafe near the railway station. The staff were so friendly. The soup and sandwich deal was such good value at £7.00 for a huge bowl of gorgeous soup and 2 thick cheese sandwiches. I then had the cake and hot drink deal. The matcha cake was one of the best cakes I've had in ages! So moist and delicious. I was only visiting Sheffield. If I was a local, I would be a regular here.

Old skool, healthy home cooked fare

We met up with some friends at Fusion to eat. The quiches & green leaf salads were lovely, so were the lattes. We also had desserts, the service & staff were excellent. The ambience of the place is really nice. Thanks again.

Didn’t have much time but I stopped by to grab a granola bar - which is huge and well priced!! Seems absolutely lovely, will definitely be back for a longer stay

We went here for lunch. Selection was very limited as they are launching a new menu next week. The food we had was excellent in quality and value was very good.

Edit: Fusion Cafe has REOPENED! New hours are Tuesday to Friday 10 - 2pm. So happy to be able to eat organic food and drink organic drinks again in Sheffield. This will lure me into town again 😁 Original review: This is a great Cafe that is part of a social enterprise. Lovely Organic coffee! I love that the food they use follows Biodynamic food principles....."Biodynamic agriculture is a form of alternative agriculture very similar to organic farming, but it includes various esoteric concepts drawn from the ideas of Rudolf Steiner (1861–1925)"........."The main difference between organic and biodynamic is that biodynamic farming uses different principles that add vitality to the plant, soil and/or livestock, whereas traditional farming typically deteriorates the soil." We are so lucky to have this Cafe providing high quality grown food in Sheffield!

Brilliant place. A hidden gem well worth finding.

Went towards the end of lunch opening which meant that some of the dishes had run out . My message is .. get there early for lunch it's well worth it . The food is amazing and such a good price . Device may be a little slower than some places but forgivable as the staff couldn't be more pleasant. Can't recomend it enough

On the fourth attempt to eat here, the cafe was actually open (social media is never updated with opening times etc). On entering the cafe, lunch time had been restructed to between 12.00 and 1.30 pm ??? Menu very limited so we ordered quiche, apparently all sold out by 1.15 pm which was the time we arrived. Still showing on the blackboard as available ??? Absolutely dreadful. What used to be an amazing cafe, with a beautiful selection of food, is no more. Needless to say will never go again, nor will we recommend to friends and family.

Excellent choice of food at reasonable prices. Everything coming out of the kiychen looked great. Just be aware stops serving lunch at 2 pm.

Around 4 years since I last visited. This excellent cafe is still a wonderful place to visit. The staff are really enthusiastic and the food is so healthy and tasty. We had mushroom strudel, with various salads, including coleslaw, lettuce, peas, broccoli, chic peas. It was a large plate of delicious food all for £7 each a bargain at the price. Next time in Sheffield must go again!

Great restaurant with Breakfast, brunch or lunch. Full bar if you want a drink. Pork gnocchi is best on the menu and had a wonderful time eating this delicious dish. Avocado on toast was devoured by another member at our table - vegan friendly. For after 1 pm, this place was full with more arriving. Why not, the food is fab. Step down from entrance to dining room. Take out meals - yes. Two unisex restrooms - very nice for this time of day - they care for the patrons needs, and the taste of the food.

Rotating specials, baked goods like quiche, strudels and tarts paired with delicious sandwiches. All organic with fantastic veggie options. In a beautiful red brick building with interesting architecture. A great place to spend some time and have lunch.

The decor is amazing, feel like in a mini museum with all the exhibition cabinets and sculpture at the corner. Most of the food are vegan. They have delicious quiche mixed with 3 types of salad. Fast serving and friendly staff. Highly recommend for a quick catch-up lunch :)

Very good place but loo is away from main building.

Excellent food, I had the lamb bhuna with rice and bread. Very tasty. The coffee was also really nice and we brought a fresh loaf and scones away with us. She had the salmon quiche with salad which was also really nice.

I went in having seen reviews saying vegan food but it was mostly meat options onthe board with nothing vegan visible. The staff didn't seem to care when I tried to find out if there was anything I could eat, so I left.

Lovely place to go eat! The menu feels split 3 ways between meat, vegetarian and vegan which is amazing for mixed diners. Definitely where you need to be if you want good vegan and vegetarian food!

Wonderful lunch and very reasonably priced. Situated in the old Butcher Works in the city centre.

I went for a pre dinner meal which was great and very tasty. Goats cheese. Then pan fried cod wit potatoes and veggies on a Terragon Creme sauce and ended with a fantastic Creme brûlée. A good Pinot Grigio with it rounded it up. Even though it was a busy evening with lots of Xmas party groups they managed extremely well and staff was super friendly. I’ll be back.

I was visiting Sheffield to attend the opening of the silversmith Don Porritt's exhibition, which was held in the gallery adjoining this Café. It provided the food for the private view - and very good it was too! At the opening I met up with many silversmiths in Sheffield who I knew, including two who actually had a studio/workshop in Butcher Works. One I had known since he was a student, the other I had met more recently at a couple of selling events. I arranged to visit both the following day and invited them to lunch at what is their local café. Half of the building is occupied by Freeman College that has a farm which the students help run. The farm supplies the café. It was busy, but we got a table for thee and ordered our food at the counter. There was one hot special and a couple of quiche and salad.The food was a delight, fresh and imaginative, while the atmosphere was a buzz with a smattering of acceptable chaos. I loved it - and my younger guests did too. I wished I had eaten here rather than the café at the Millennium Gallery. The bill was very reasonable. This is a true delight, indeed a treasure. I unreservedly recommend it - and I will be back when I am next in Sheffield.

The cafe provided catering and the venue for a company evening event: a party for 50 people. I had so many compliments from people about the food, which was absolutely delicious and very far removed from your average beige buffet. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, I can't recommend them enough.

Went here for a wedding reception. We had a wonderful time. The food was provided by that cafe and it was fantastic. Everything was colourful and full of flavour, looked and tasted gorgeous! The staff were friendly and I loved the silversmithing exhibition. Definitely will be going back.

Very nice place to eat or have a coffee, they have great selection and affordable prices (also, vegan-friendly options). They also bake amazing bread, and you can buy it loose. Greatly recommended!

The people at Fusion work their socks off to produce dish after dish of delicious food. I have never had a bad meal here. They have quiche, soup, pizza, sandwiches and salads everyday as well as a specials board, They always have vegan, gluten free and vegetarian options. They also bake fresh bread daily. Here is today's offering - cheese and basil!!!! Mmmmmm!!

Had a buffet lunch and it was one of the best, if not the best, I've ever had. Not the usual 'beige' food that is served on such occasions - this was fabulous to look at and to taste and the people were so enthusiastic. Would return anytime - Bravo!

Ofen have a morning meeting at the back of this cafe and stay for lunch - which iis always fabulous. Organic food, much of it grown by the organisation. Enormous portions, quick service, best grub ever and very reasonable prices.

I am a recent convert to the benefits of organic food. I've been improving my gut health for about 5 years but was never really convinced organic would make a difference...until a few weeks ago! I'm now eating organic and my gut has massively benefited. Organic coffee is especially making a difference, so I was delighted to find Fusion. Not only do they serve organic food but the accommodate allergies and serve organic coffee! I enjoyed the coffee and a wonderful lamb casserole. I had decided not to eat out because of wanting to eat organic but now I can still enjoy the experience. Brilliant!

Delicious fresh food! Was hard to decide what to get as the whole menu looked wonderful.

A very popular cafe which used to offer very good value for money. Yes it’s still cheap but one large lettuce leaf cannot honestly be described as a green salad ! And a 30 min wait for soup which my friend also had but had finished before mine came ..after everyone else’s meal had been served is not on. No apology for the wait, a brusk reaction from the waitress who obviously didn’t care.

This place is easily the best eatery in Sheffield and beyond for vegan organic food and I wouldn't eat anywhere else. I take my family for lunch here at least once a month. If you prepare quality vegan food at home, similarly decent food when eating out is like hen's teeth but the Fusion cafe won't disappoint and the food is consistently delicious and reasonably priced. The Ruskin Mill Trust / Freeman College does great work specialising in educational and residential provision for young people with learning disabilities and difficulties.

Really good food, I had chicken curry with a plate of mixed salad. It was a bit salty though and the service took a while and they seemed like they were a bit clueless. The vibe wasn't amazing either but definitely worth a visit for the food. There's also no heating so where a coat.

Sensationally good food from an excellent and ever changing menu.

Brilliant cafe with top-notch food. They always offer something a bit different for lunch and choosing is often a very difficult process! Quiches are beautifully made; other dishes I've enjoyed are Jamaican goat curry and smoked fish fritters with pumpkin fries. Very reasonable prices and great service.

Great place for quick healthy tasty food. Very pleasant experience, the staff are very friendly, helpful and polite. The food is amazing and at very inexpensive cost.

I had a curry and my daughter had a pizza, it was alright. Good selection of hot and cold drinks. Staff efficient but not smiling at all. For dessert we had Coca-Cola cake which was nice and marmalade polenta cake which was very bitter.

We had a lovely lunch here a few weeks ago. All the ingredients are grown in their bio-dynamic garden. The menu is varied with a selection of vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and meat options. The service was good and efficient. It gets very busy at lunchtime, as alot of the Freeman College staff eat there.

Been for lunch a few times, good variety of quiche and sandwiches made from great local produce! Good flavour combinations and nice salads too. Homemade cakes and sweet treats too all very reasonably priced.

Really liked this place. It has a social purpose, so that's one reason to be a fan- but the food was just great and the bread was some of the best I've ever had- I think it is from their own bakery.

The supposedly trendy cafe across the road could only offer either sharing a table with strangers or a 45 minute wait - this at the start of lunchtime. As it turned out we were so pleased they were busy because we simply crossed the road and discovered Fusion.
