June 8 Cafe & Bistro in Epsom and Ewell

First time here, was pleasantly surprised, nicely decorated, we received a warm welcome. I had the English Breakfast which was lovely, good quality produce, others in the party had the Turkish Breakfast and eggs benedict which both very tasty and well prepared. I would definitely recommend having a try. There are other cafes that do breakfasts in the parade, but June 8 is by far the best .

Cute cafe with great menu. Food was delicious, coffee authentic and service was top class. We enjoyed brunch here and would be back. It does get very very busy at peak times and dogs are usually allowed

Ju Ju is the genial host, who loves people. The staff go out of their way to make everyone, including children and pets, welcome.

Went here today for the first time and I must say what a relief the air con was! Brilliant snacks/drinks and we were served by a woman called Alison im sure.. I hope I have her name right! Really felt welcomed by her with her prompt service and friendly attitude, great member of your team! Will absolutely recommend to my friends as we’re all local, not sure why I’ve not visited sooner! X

Often go here for brunch. Fabulous coffee and good selection of brunch/lunch choices. The staff are so friendly, helpful and efficient. Lots of regular customers so that tells you something. It can get very busy at lunchtime and then there may be a wait for food but it’s worth it. Lovely local café. Thank you!

Always bustling here with good vibes...mamas and their babies, dog owners who stop off, couples, friends and more. Breakfasts are the best here and we love the Owner who is Turkish and always chirpy and hard working.

Try the Reuben Sandwich with pastrami, sauerkraut and pickles, amazing! Nice coffee and friendly too.

UPDATE April 2024 - we went for lunch and it was delicious. The menu was not extensive (a plus) but was a bit eclectic: I had avocado, feta, and poached eggs on English muffins, which came with pomegranate seeds and was really tasty. My wife ordered a daily special of frittata with spinach and mushrooms, accompanied by rolled grape leaves. The chef came out to ask if she would also like marinated carrots. Our granddaughter had toast with sausage and bacon and her mum had eggs royale. ORIGINAL REVIEW in 2023 - We just popped in for coffee so I cannot comment on the food but from what I saw other people having, it looked delicious. The coffee (cappuccino) was excellent. An added bonus is they have loyalty cards. The service was friendly and efficient.

Good little cafe with a good vibe. Went here for lunch, food was okay. I tried a chicken panini customised it and added some extras, it came with a salad on the side. The prices were reasonable, ordered the fresh tropical smoothie which was good.

Popped in for a quick lunch during a course and really enjoyed the Reuban's sandwich. I checked before I ordered that they could accommodate my deadline and they did, with time to spare. A very busy place with a friendly vibe. Reasonable prices.

Great Saturday brekkie place, the food is good, everyone is super friendly and the coffee is ok. Sometimes there's quite a wait for food if you hit a busy time but that's usually peak times on the weekend.

This is a little gem of a café that delivers far more than its position on Stoneleigh Broadway might suppose. The café is decorated in a contemporary way that belies the suburban setting. The staff are cheerful, friendly and efficient so the service is very good. The menu is not huge but varied and the daily specials are imaginative. Food is well prepared and presented and, to my way of thinking, very good value. It had a licence so if you are having lunch there is the prospect of a glass of wine and there is also a range of non-alcoholic drinks and teas as well as the usual coffees. I've enjoyed every visit and will be eating there again soon.

I was delighted to find rhis cafe during my brief and previously stressful trip to Stoneleigh that day, initially because it offered me a convenient way to charge my dead mobiles but also because it was a lovely place, people and service.

Food took a while but was worth the wait!

This little corner bistro could be a fabulous place to eat, but sadly, it doesn't quite reach the mark. Reasons: - Long wait for meal - Meal doesn't come right - Not consistent (a second visit meal wasn't the same) - for the price, one would expect better - over attentive waitress - poor management Shame.

A very nice bistro. Went there for brunch and coffee, nice vibes. I hear they do halal Turkish breakfast. Will go again for this the next time.

Went here today for a birthday breakfast for my sister. The barista staff are utterly wonderful - friendly, fast and considerate. They brought the drinks quickly and took our order perfectly. The fresh orange juice is a highlight and the coffee is well made. The decor is lovely, and the atmosphere is good. Our food order was good, but it came out very staggered: there were four of us, and by the time the fourth meal was out, the first person had almost finished eating. The first two meals (with poached eggs) the eggs were runny, but the second two which came out so much later, the eggs weren't, looked a bit like they'd been under a heat lamp the whole time and the eggs were a bit solid due to the wait. It was Tuesday morning, 10:30am so not busy, so a bit confusing. That being said, the rest of the breakfast was excellent; and the herby sausages were amazing. It was a lovely morning, and the barista/server was so lovely. Would come back. Also, dog friendly.

A catch up over lunch with a friend and we both had a delicious Croque Monsieur. It was very filling with the different flavours in each mouthful. Sometimes it's cheesy, sometimes a subtle mustard tang, then a nice bit of ham. 🙂

Besides the cappuccino, everything else was terrible (pastrami sandwich and panini with chicken) indifferent and not caring attitude of the staff.

Lived in the area for years and finally had a brunch here. Croque Madame was outstanding. As was the amaretti raspberry cake.

I have visited this place several times for lunch. Every item ordered has been made out of fresh ingredients. Their soups and panini sandwiches are awesome.

First time here with 5 year old grandson. Nothing for kids really but our food was OK. Waited around 30 minutes for food to arrive which is especially long for a chocolate brownie. Not sure we will return

We went on a busy Wednesday lunchtime and got the only available table. Service was very friendly, decent coffees. We had a croque Madame and a pastrami sandwich for lunch. Food was tasty, fresh, generous and well presented. Value was reasonable too. A really nice quick lunch.

Pretty awful service. Couldn't catch anyone's eye when we sat down to get a menu so had to go and ask for one at the bar. It then took 45 minutes for panninis to arrive. The cafe has a nice decor but on a Saturday lunch time it was extremely noisy with a table of very loud children. This can't really be helped but it was very distracting while we were waiting for our food. When the food finally arrived it was quite nice. Probably not worth the wait.

Went there for breakfast with my sister and friend. Firstly we purchased 6 coffees of which we received not one single stamp on the reverse of their card. As for the breakfast we asked the girl if they did a an english breakfast, yes we were told but it not on the menu list. I asked why as they did not want to give a set price for some reason. Well 3 breakfasts and 6 coffees cost me £40.75 around £9.25 per breakfast as we choose by item of which we were charged £1.50 for 3 very slices of chorizo. Then when I went to pay the girl could not operate the card properly, I raised question had I been charged twice they were not sure so I asked for a copy of the original aborted charge. That is when they gave their card which had no coffee stamps on the back. I found that such an insult as to what they charged for a breakfast and could not even stamp the back for the coffees we had. Clearly just interested in taking monies of people with little for service and caring. Also I noticed when they collected the menus they never once wiped them, they had one of us sign ib because of covid but why one person I understood everyone had to sign in so you have some control. I will never go back there as I think the place is over-rated and charges far to much as they would not give as details of their english breakfast price.

This is a clean, tidy and large place with ample space, good seating and a great level of decor. I find it more suitable for a business meeting or a quiet break than other local places since the staff don't tend to talk to you unless you want something - which many people prefer - and its volume means it isn't a cosy venue. It appears to have a great kitchen which surprised me given I found the menu to be limited both in size and variety of food served. That said, the quality of the food served is excellent. All in all a very reasonable place to visit.

We visit reasonably frequently, very friendly relaxed family cafe serving decent home cooked food - don’t expect gourmet presentation, but do expect a hearty meal.

Really nice brunch. Good choice. I had smashed avocado on seeded bread with added extras (poached egg, chorizo and halloumi). Lovely dish. Brunch, 2 cups of tea and a croissant, bill came to about £12. Very reasonable.

Would definitely say that this is our local, whenever we want to treat ourselves to a lovely brunch/breakfast nearby, its the only place we go to! Love the food, gets quite busy but that just shows how great the place is. I always get the Eggs Benedict and eggs are always cook the way it should be!

Amazing little bistro with great food and a buzzing yet chilled ambience. It is a pet friendly and child welcoming place. They have a collection of books and colouring kit to keep the children busy. We ordered - French toast - Turkish breakfast and - Avocado on toasted muffins

Had high expectations and ambience etc is good. Ordered our food and drinks. Drinks came apart from water which we had to ask for 3 times and took over 40 mins to arrive....when food finally arrived 40 mins after ordering and we weren’t told there would be this delay it was disappointing. The team cake was hardly toasted but felt stale. The mushrooms on all our breakfasts were bordering raw. The scrambled egg was very runny which made the toast soft, yet the sausage was burnt.....normally would have sent it back but we waited so long the kids didn’t want to!

I am a new local to the neighbourhood and I am used to dining and going to cafe's in London. This place is rustic and just amazing, Family friendly, food is fresh and very flavorsome. The chef is Turkish- which speaks volumes! He is personable, makes sure his customers are all happy and he prepares the dishes with care and lots of flavour. The service is very good. We go every week- so addictive!

A home from home café where June, the owner makes you feel really welcome. I actually prefer his cappuccino to Café Nero which used to be my usual haunt. A great addition to the local community. Great coffee, great food and great banter. Highly recommend!!

Went in for breakfast for a family of four. Asked for 2 cappucinos but after 10 minutes had still not received the ordered coffee. The last behind the counter informed me she was not allowed to make coffee as she hadn’t been trained so we had to wait. Owner didn’t apologise just chose to be rude. It was nearly empty. If busy I recommend turning around and finding somewhere else, in fact that is probably my recommendation anyway.

Great bistro tucked away in Stoneleigh , we popped in for a quick drink whilst waiting for our daughter at a party locally . It turned into a really romantic couple of hours with nice wine and tasty Mediterranean snacks . Regardless of the rain we sat outside under the awning , the staff and owner were fantastic . We will be back .

Visited this family friendly bistro several times. Such a friendly welcoming owner and staff are attentive. The Breakfast menu is my favourite here, serving up a variety of delicious well presented breakfasts. The establishment is very clean and decor nice.
