Our first time dining here, this evening.
Well what can I say, the food was very tasty, the atmosphere very relaxing with a nice ambience and the staff were very friendly, Sorena especially as she looked after us so well.
I would definitely visit again and recommend to our friends and family.
Thankyou to all the staff at The nook. 😃👍
Visited here on wed 2 june. Staying at nearby lanarth campsite. Lovely cosy pub with a warm welcome from the staff the memu was amazing and great choices for me being a veggie. The vegetable wellington delicious.. Three of us had a drink, main meal and dessert. Total 75 pounds which was extremely worth it... Would highly recommend and def visit again.
We chose cupcake cafe as they do the best selection of cream teas not just jam like most places! We had the sunshine cream tea served with lemon curd&clotted cream ,scones a good size fresh fluffy and a nice homemade taste! They also do savory ,chocolate spread ,syrup & ginger preserve! 2 for £12
Our first time we have had a takeaway so I can only comment on 1 experience but we are from the Midlands, 2 starter’s 1st Fish Pakora really bad 3 pieces of small unseasoned pieces of fish in really soggy batter not nice went in bin. 2nd Sheek Kebab really tasty would love as a main course. 2 Mains 1st Special Jalfrezi, plenty of tasty meat no onions or peppers normally in a Jalfrezi, 2nd Tikka Parthia chicken nice tomatoes not cooked out. Both mains said hot but more mild to medium no spice just tomatoes in Parthia. Keema Nan bread nice but Keema minced lamb wafer thin in the middle. Can’t say if would use again because not sure if the dishes are consistent.
5 out of 5 food was amazing and so was the service. Glad we came for a birthday meal. Will be coming back next year. Would advise getting the mac and cheese.
We used them for our daughter's birthday party on a sunday ordered the family bucket the whole team was amazing (sana and ajay) very helpful in accommodating they open early for our order and the food was very tasty (spicy wings were a Hit with my family kept asking for more) if we ever go back to Chatham definitely eating in.
Thank you to the owner Tahir for taking extra care for our order and the free cheesecake for the birthday girl she was extremely happy.
We have stayed at St Mary's Hall many times on full board so we have used the Hall restaurant on many occasions and have always thought the food exceptional.
This year we opted to self cater on then Island allowing us more evening freedom, but we wanted to book an evening meal for our wedding anniversary.
We had a table in the Grill Room to allow us to bring our Cocker Spaniel with us.
The Hall is obviously very proud of the steaks that it offers it's guests as there are pictures all around the restaurant, I would normally have had fillet steak , but as this was not available, I opted for a sirloin which they recommended medium rare, to say I was disappointed was an understatement, my steak was very tough and chewy and full of gristle, I just could not eat most of it. I did complain to the waitress and received £10 of the final bill. But for £49 for just the steak you expect it to be perfect, don't you?
That said my wife who is a vegetarian, thoroughly enjoyed her meal.
I am sure this was just an unfortunate experience and it will not deter us from ever using The Hall again.
Waited 45 minutes to receive lukewarm food. It was gone off prawns which tasted funny. Threw up the whole lot. Don't understand the good reviews when the place is a health hazard. Avoid.
