We walk into the city weekly, the departure lounge is always our first stop. The main reason is, in my opinion it’s the best coffee in the city. We do not eat often but the food we have had is always good The current owner is a nice guy who always chats .

Great baked goods. Personally I don't like the coffee. There is no place to sit nor sandwiches. I was expecting a coffee shop but it is actually a bakery.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing and beautiful meal. Food was delicious and very tasty. Customer service was excellent and we found the price to be very good too, as the portions of our meal were big. Would definitely recommend it. Great atmosphere and we were also lucky to have very nice and relax live music too.
We have eaten here as locals several times and nothing is too much trouble, however large the group is. The food is superb. Fresh fish in Tempura is exceptional. The fusion of flavours and the variety of tasty dishes is a real treat. A really lovely experience.

My partner and I stopped by on a whim last week, and are incredibly glad we decided to do so! The guy behind the counter was super friendly and went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. He also gave us a free battered sausage!
The food was cooked fresh and tasted incredible- we’ll definitely be back soon :)

Sat 8 March, 1pm. Frosty reception when we came in. Took them twenty minutes to make our drinks - they served four other customers who'd arrived after us. When we gently nudged them because we assumed they'd forgotten us, they snapped, "Yes, we'll bring them - it's just been very busy." But we'd watched them prioritising other customers over us. They then brought our coffees and slammed them down in front of us without a word. Unpleasant.
We have lived in the area for years but never visited this place ! All I can say is it’s the best breakfast I’ve had out in a long time ! We had the full English and it didn’t disappoint! Nicely cooked and plentiful ! Clean cafe and friendly staff . Well done 👏
Food was really wonderful, service extremely slow - definitely not enough staff. My friend has a citrus allergy and she made this clear when she arrived, on ordering the main course and when ordering the traditional rice pudding explaining she would have it without the marmalade due to her citrus allergy. Half way through dessert it was noticed there were orange flecks in the rice pudding!!!!!! Orange zest! Luckily she had antihistamine with her but was very ill for the remainder of the day. Would have given 5/5 if it wasn’t for slow service and poor allergy process and recognition.
Mid week meal out and our first time at Masala restaurant. We got there really early so it was quiet but soon started filling up. The welcome was friendly and we were seated straight away. The menu is extensive enough for a good choice but not overwhelmingly large.
The lamb tikka masala was so so good with a rich tomato sauce. Plenty of pieces of lamb too.
The lamb biryani was full of flavour and the portion was big.
The chicken kurma was creamy and coconutty with lots of chunks of chicken and plenty of sauce.
Everything was very tasty and reasonably priced. Along with naan and poppadoms it was only just £50.
Highly recommended.
