Excellent service and quality will definitely be going back.

Went for Sunday lunch, didn't have a table booked so was lucky as it was busy. Food was excellent. Staff were friendly. Price was fair. I had a vegetarian option, while my better half enjoyed a full roast dinner. Neither of us were disappointed. Would recommend, but it's popular so I'd see about booking on a Sunday.

After visiting Longleat Safari Park, we called in here for food. They managed to fit our group of four in at short notice. The service was excellent, friendly and efficient staff, lovely food at a very reasonable price. Just excellent all round, highly recommended.

We called at 13.20 on Sunday in the hope to get a table for 8. Clive was really helpful and found us space! We arrived at 3pm and the atmosphere was great. The staff were so friendly and the food was amazing! I would highly recommend this pub. It also has a lovely beer garden and it is also dog friendly. 🐕

Booked for a meal with friends who live close by, as we have a dog we were only allowed in the bar or outside which was perfectly acceptable and as it was raining we obviously opted for the bar.. When we arrived the two tables available were rather small for the 4 of us and the dog, but we were allowed to sit on a larger table in the restaurant, which was much appreciated. After ordering our meals, they arrived extremely quickly, most impressive! The meals themselves were well presented and very tasty. All in all, an excellent experience that exceeded expectations. Very grateful to the lady behind the bar who allowed us to move to a bigger table in the actual restaurant, which was very kind of her.

Great tasting food. The very best service around, with really friendly and Good looking staff. Really good portion sizes that left us full. The Bread and Butter Pudding was delicious. Would definitely recommend this to anyone. We will definitely come again!!!!

The lovely atmosphere encourages us to return regularly for lunch after a walk in the Somerset or Dorset area during the morning. Good, freshly cooked food to enjoy, is the real reason. A choice of two beers, on pump, is the choice for those who still enjoy a craft beer. A good range of lagers are there to enjoy.

Wonderful place. The room was lovely. Quirky in a good way. Very clean. Bathroom was lovely and warm. Good shower. Staff were friendly and helpful. We met my best friend from school who I’ve not seen for years, and her partner and it made it an even better evening being in such a great place. Would definitely come again. On our way home to Kent on Sunday 5th March we stumbled on this lovely Pub! It had such a lively & warm atmosphere, all the staff were friendly and chatty and made us most welcome. The food we ordered was delicious, I had the small roast beef dinner which was an ideal size for me with a long journey ahead, my husband had steak, and we both couldn’t fault our meals in any way - due we understand to all the hard efforts of Clive and his staff in the kitchen. Well done all! We will endeavour to check you out again either on our way or on our return from Taunton.👍

Myself, my mum and sister booked tonight for a meal, we all had different main meals and each one was absolutely lovely along with the sweets, we had a warm welcome and we weren’t rushed at all, highly recommended

The Cross Keys is a wonderful cozy bar with excellent atmosphere, homey feel, wonderful, friendly, and sociable owners. They have periodic games of bingo, which I was lucky enough to get in on, the entire bar becomes one big friendly (competitive) family. They serve food (check when the kitchen closes) and have snacks available. Tried several beers they have on tap, liked both. A selection of other drinks. I would HIGHLY recommend a visit if you're anywhere near Frome, and maybe even go out of your way a little.

We visited here as it has been closed for few months Same people here..Ham , egg, and chips for hubby..I had meatballs and spaghetti from the O.A.P menu .Very nice and just right amount for me. Even nicer ,heating was put on so nice and cosy..Prices also very reasonable..

We’ve been twice now on our stopover in Rode. The pub is lovely, the staff attentive and the food excellent. If we lived here it would be our local! Great menu and selection of beers.

We were staying at an Airbnb just up the road and came in for an evening meal. There were nine of us and the pub was very accommodating. We all enjoyed our meals and thought they were good value. The two vegetarians in our party were also pleased with the choice. Recommended!

Two of us sat in garden on Saturday 12 june lunch time and had fantastic food ..I had chcken and croutons salad, and my husband had a sausage sandwich ,,that came with chips and onions and salad garnish. .Must have been at least 4 sausages in the bread. Very tasty and well presented...Service was good and the prices were actually very reasonable. Also a super atmosphere. We were made to feel so welcome

I have just had a lovely meal at the Cross Keys. Their faggots with mash and veg was lovely and I just about had room for crumble and custard. All of the staff were great, very friendly and professional especially with the new COVID restrictions.

For the first time since the lockdown was eased, my wife and I have just enjoyed a fantastic steak meal that was cooked to perfection by the wonderful Lisa. Although there is currently a limited menu, we would definitely recommend the Cross Keys to everyone. All PPE and social distancing rules were adhered to, and we were made to feel very safe and comfortable, thanks to Lisa and Nelly. Cannot speak highly enough about the food and service, and will definitely be making it a more regular occurrence 10 Stars

OK...fish and chips was basic frozen product. Coffee was good.

Last weekend I went on a trip to Bah by myself, I got the address wrong and went to this restaurant of the same name. They tried to call a taxi for me, when they found all taxes were busy at the time, the owner's daughter said she wouldn't mind to drive me there, and she did drove me to the hotel I meant to go! I'm so grateful. It was a cold and dark night, about one mile from the nearest bus stop and there was no taxi available, I would be in trouble if they were not so kind. Also, they never asked me to buy a drink or anything, they just helped me because I'm in need.

What a lovely meal served by happy hard working bar lady who was on her own. I had the BEEF BOURGUIGNON served with Dauphine potato,It was £14 on the specials board and by Jove it was special. Massive portion enough to feed three people. Butcombe beer was lovely too at the right temperature. Thank you Cross Keys

I attended here for dinner after staying is a nearby Air BnB. On doing some research of this pub, we found out it was Tapas night and decided we would try it out. On arrival at the pub, it is a cute little pub with a large carpark area. On entering the pub, the restaurant area is to the left and a separate entrance to the right for people who are just drinking. This is nice as you are separated when having some food. The pub has approximately 7/8 tables, which were all very nicely set up for the tapas evening. We were welcomed into the pub by the bar lady who served us very quickly and was very polite. We were seated at a table near the door which was no bother and decided on what to order. Drinks and food orders are made at the bar. We ordered everything on the tapas menu, which was 12 dishes and was perfect for four adults. The tapas dishes aren’t overly large but are the perfect amount of food. The food was delicious!! All homemade and fresh, there was no food left over. There was a nice range of food to choice from, catering to vegetarians as well. The service was speedy, the food was served hot and very presentable. We opted for the churros with chocolate sauce to finish the meal off, and the kitchen didn’t let us down... a defo must try. Overall I would 110% recommend this Friday night tapas. The food was very tasty and worth the price and the staff and locals where very welcoming.

Decided to eat here as we were staying nearby after a full day at longleat. There was a good choice of tasty pub food which really didn’t disappoint. Good size portions and nothing was too much trouble. Food arrived quickly and was piping hot!!If you like simple, well cooked food, then this is the place for you.Cannot recommend highly enough!!

A few weeks ago my Mum, my daughter, 25, my dog and me were starving hungry, having been in Street for the day and randomly pulled into the Cross Keys at 5.30 pm on a Saturday. It is a little shabby in the public bar but spotlessly clean. We were made really welcome. I knew it was my type of place as there was a local's dog on the sofa.We ate in the public bar as we had my mutt. We were quickly chatting with a local couple, and then another local said hello to my dog. Lovely.. My daughter and I had the burgers. Mum has forgotten her choice. When the food came we were amazed and delighted with the quality and quantity of the food. The bar staff were great. Offered my dog treats and were attentive without intruding. I took half my burger home ,as I was full and it was too good to waste! I wish I lived nearer. It would be my local. Lucky locals x

Called ahead to order food as I had tarried long on the trail, the tavern mistress took appreciable strides to accommodate me. On arrival I was greeted with smiles and warm welcomes and my meal was prepared instantly for me and was a real grace to behold. Many blessings to this public dwelling of merriment.
