Delicious food, excellent service, generous portions

Great cod and chips - freshly fried fish with hot, crispy chips after we ordered it. Box of salad was bigger than I expected - included lettuce, tomato, cucumber, fresh onion, and banana peppers. We will definitely go back!

As ever, the quality of our fish and chips was excellent 👌. We had a seniors portion which was absolutely perfect in all respects. The team are so polite and friendly we wouldn't go anywhere else. We'll done!!

Always use the Lighthouse when I want a takeaway that they offer. It is my go to chip shop, not only the normal chip shop menu. They also sell kebabs, pizzas, you can get hot drinks, you can sit in to eat or takeaway. They even allow customers to use their toilet if needed.

Staff very nice and efficient. Great service. Freshly cooked Friday night fish and chips! Family tried Haddock, Cod, Scampi and Fishcake.

Great tasting battered cod and chips fried in fresh oil. Super efficient and friendly service.

Good service, after a long day of work in that area, i stopped for eat in that placethe food was good enough for my hunger, they are open before 4pm. Most of the kebab shops open at 4pm.

Just like any other chippy but with the mood setting that should be required 👌

Great portions, really good chips that seem double cooked and the nice piece of cod. The cod could have been a little more crispy but still great and cooked spot on. Can even eat in if you want. Service was very fast. Will definitely use again; maybe try a kebab next time.

Got to be honest, we only stopped here as we had lost a rider in heavy traffic but what a good call. The food here is pretty amazing and all freshly cooked to order. On top of that there are some very comfortable seating areas to enjoy your food at, so now that winter is coming this could well be a regular pit stop 👍😋👌 Happy to say our missing rider got the messages and tipped up in plenty of time to enjoy a kebab 😉

Forget the others. This is the best fish and chips in town and the guys there are great too. They do loads of other food options which is usually suspect for a fish and chips outlet in my opinion. Haven't tried the rest but if it's as good as the fish and chips then well done guys.

Decent fish and chips. Very welcoming

Now... I'm a fatty. Always have been. I do my best not to overeat and have managed to shed some pounds but these guys are not helping. Their food is great. Their chips are consistent and beautifully cooked. Their portion sizes are always enough but not too much. They are polite and friendly and when I want F&Chps, or a decent kebab, I will make the effort to drive further or organise my end of day journey to make visiting Lighthouse easy. Highly recommend them.

Great fish and chips. The fish was meaty and the batter was not over cooked. As with any fish and chips it's a wonder how many chips they will give you. You need 1 portion per a person. The portion is a good size. I would return again.
