We often come here for a special informal get together. The service is always excellent and the food is fantastic. Highly recommend Indian restaurant.

A hidden gem in the Rushden/wellingborough area. Always 10/10 service and 10/10 food. A nice and cosy ambient restaurant, would highly recommend anyone who is after some of the finest Indian cuisine.

An amazing dining experience! The food was rich, aromatic, and bursting with traditional Indian flavors. Every dish, from the samosas to the lamb curry, was cooked to perfection. The staff was friendly, and the service was exceptional. The cozy atmosphere made it the perfect spot for a relaxing meal. I’ll definitely be coming back with more friends and family!

Absolutely fantastic! This Indian restaurant serves the most authentic and flavorful dishes I’ve had outside of India. The spices were perfectly balanced, and every bite was a burst of flavor. The service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance added to the overall great experience. Highly recommend the butter chicken and garlic naan. A must-visit for anyone who loves Indian cuisine!

Passing threw on our boats. Orders a takeaway to collect. it was lovely. Great food reasonably priced and was really hot when we got back. Would recommend.

First time and possibly the best Indian food we have had in a long time. The dips to go with the poppadoms are the best we have ever eaten. Everything was so fresh and hot and prices were reasonable. Nice ambiance and lovely staff. We will definitely be back. A great find.

As a family we've been eating at Masala for years, they are always lovely and friendly and the food is always fantastic, any problems are always fixed (we are all human and it happens!) we will always be back.

The service was brilliant. Unsure of atmosphere. unfortunately, the food wasn't very good at all. We ordered and awaited the food and collected it within minutes. Two out of three curries were stone cold. We rang and fortunately they were very helpful and offered replacement curries which was lovely. However when we received the remaining two. They were bland and the chicken was overcooked. I appreciate the attempts but after £50 spent and throwing away £30, I cannot give it a higher recommendation. Hopefully it was just unlucky. Apologies and all the best guys

I ordered a meal for delivery. It arrived on time. The food was good if not the best Indian food I have had. Certainly not the worst. The prawn puree was a bit short of the topping. The lamb moghul had the most tender meat but the sauce was bit mundane. Still worthy of another try

This little restaurant serves, in my opinion some of the best Indian food I have ever eaten in UK. Sadly I live in Hampshire but always try to visit if I am staying with my friend who lives locally. Thankyou Masala, keep doing what you are doing because it is genuinely excellent!

Had a takeaway delivery for the first time yesterday and best Indian food we have tasted in many years. Arrived hot, delicious and chicken really tender will have all our takeaways here from now on. Hard to find a good Indian these days and this one is the best.

We went for a meal on a Friday evening the meal and service were excellent it's just a shame there was only one more couple in the restaurant with us ..Sign of the times I suppose but not much of a atmosphere when the restaurant is empty and quiet .

Ordered tikka got chicken slithers. Bland Madras ..garlic massala with chilli... no boom tasteless. Shame won't order again

How can you possibly go somewhere for 40 years......and not have I complaint?

This had to be the worst Indian meal I've ever had. The Keema Rice had absolutely no flavour, Keema Naans were tough and the meat inside looked like a thin disc of rubber. Korai Chicken only had 4 cubes of chicken (£8.95), and the 'Masala Platter for 2' (£10.95)was 2 deep-fried chicken wings, 2 (over-cooked on the outside, stodgy on the inside) onion bhajis, and two flavourless cubes of chicken. I had one or two bites of everything, then it went straight in the bin. What a waste of £40. Never again.

What has happened to our favourite restaurant to eat in and takeaway. Always good food. Tonight we ordered and looked forward to a takeaway after a hard day in the garden. My chicken tikka and sheep kebab so dry could not even swallow - yoghurt pots half the size and watered down your husbands Thali -his favourite - also dry and overcooked. So disappointed as prices increased which we understand but food not acceptable.

After many many years going to this restaurant we have never been disappointed, last night they catered for us a family get together birthday party as always the food was spot and severed up by polite and friendly staff well done again Masala.

We always have a fantastic meal at Massala. The meal is always freshly cooked and nice ingredients. The service is always fantastic and attentive. Nice quaint restaurant with top quality food. Cannot recommend a better Indian restaurant.

Ordered via Uber Eats. Delivery 45 minutes later that specified in the app. Took 90 minutes from placing order to delivery. Food luke warm when received. May be Uber's fault, but the restaurant chose them as a delivery vehicle. Not impressed.

Have been dining in and out of this restaurant since it first opened, food quality has always been outstanding and there is something very special about the way the meals are created, a certain texture and depth of flavour for me yet to be rivalled! Staff are always friendly and make dining in a fun experience! Can’t recommend this place enough, best Indian restaurant in Northamptonshire..very much proven so far for me, with my friends and family often giving very similar praise!!

So I was having a business meeting with shmuck and David Robberfry. David orderd the tikka masala so me and shmuck told him he's never gonna get girls unless he ups the spice so muj comes out with a vin da loo. Unfortunately David had an accident on the wall and brown liquid from his bottom spread everywhere. Pretty good Nann bred tho.

Fantastic meal , 2nd best I’ve ever had , made my mouth all tingly I loved the sauce and the lemonade I had was out of this world , it even came with a complimentary lemon and a straw to bite on whilst I only had to wait 56 seconds for my food to arrive !!

Cannot recommend Masala enough. Not only was the food absolutely amazing but the service was impeccable too. I have been to some horrific Indian restaurants and I've been to some great ones. I will now be forever comparing any restaurant I visit, with the standard of this one! 5+ star.

We dine here as our Indian of choice and now travel to get here, it’s worth it! We are a family who were introduced by our parents to Masala over 25 years ago and subsequently then introduced our own children! The staff are lovely, always accommodating and the restaurant is impeccably clean and well managed. The food is always consistent, great flavours, hot and fresh ingredients. We always return whether as a couple or with friends or family gatherings. Nothing has ever been too much trouble, the quality and consistency has remained throughout. Nice attention to detail, proper table linen and glassware and cutlery are always clean and polished! Try this restaurant, you will not be disappointed.

Came here with a couple of old friends one of whom has been coming here for years. The welcome was warm and the food was outstanding and the price was very good. This is now my new place to go.

Busy on a friday night, but great food and customer service. Shame it wasn't bigger.

We had a takeaway last night, having heard good things about the place. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. For what they charged, the portions were dismal and when the food arrived, at best, it was mediocre - dry chicken and very little curry sauce to add to the dish. I for one will never darken their door again! Be warned and try them at your peril.

Last minute on the Saturday night after New Years Day we decided to try this restaurant, managed to turn up and get a table as it was pretty quiet as we thought it would be. Friendly staff, atmosphere good even though it wasn’t really busy, most importantly food was very good, I had the filled chicken pepper for a starter followed by the Nepalese Special & a very refreshing coconut ice cream. Total bill with bottle of wine & a beer (plus papadoms) £67 total bill for 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 dessert & drinks

Nice decor, clean, friendly staff and excellent food. I do miss draught lager to accompany the food (or while waiting for my takeaway) but understand that without a cellar the bar and kitchen area would be very difficult to use with barrels on the floor. Highly recommended

First time we have tried this from our usual haunt, drinks are dear, the korma was very sweet to the point of my wife couldn't eat it, the chicken tikka was poor hardly any taste, our friends had a better experience so maybe not to good on simple Indian food, desert range was limited over all probably won't try again

I've ordered from here so many times now and still by far the best local Indian takeaway. Its also a superb restaurant if you want to sit in just make sure you book. Tje service in there really is very very good. They always look after you anyway they can. The food is always bang on. Can honestly say out of about 100 meals here I've never had a bad experience. Food is full of flavour. Decent sauces with the papadoms which is always a sign of what a Indian is like. Some have very watery sauces. Their sauces are full of flavour. Make sure you try their red sauce. Its amazing. Highly recommended.

5 star great food great service couldn't ask for better top place

Had a takeaway from here - ordered at opening time, quoted 45 mins to 1 hour, took about 1 hour and 15 mins to arrive (Granted it was a slightly larger order). Food was lovely, well packaged and still fairly hot when it arrived. I'd recommend the Lamb Korai, it's fantastic!

Well, to start off with, you arrive and think this is a little on the small side, but then you remeber the other reviews on here Nd how good they are. Sat at a nice clean table, very well decorated in a nice contemporary style, with service second to none. Then the food. Well what a meal. We had the bengal thali and what a dinner. Light enough so I walked out with out needing to be rolled out, but filling enough that I feel like I've had a great dinner. And the flavours are amazing. Food was tender, balanced and really flavoursome. We will be back. This is a hidden gem. Definitely worth the visit.

Booked table last night for 9.45 seated at10.10 took ages for the main, which arrived at 11pm very disappointed with the service. As we eat here every new years eve, never been an issue in the past. Offered free drinks because of the wait. We will not be coming back.

Had Christmas Day lunch with friends at this venue. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and staff to create excellent dishes and an atmosphere of fun. The food was tasty and of excellent quality even allowing for minor choice changes and the service was attentive and cheerful and Christmas crackers on the table helped create the spirit of the day. The building is not large so several sittings were catered for and at an incredibly reasonable price for a Christmas meal which included a massive choice of dishes.
