Full our booking was not on their system despite receiving a confirmation email .all turned out OK as we ended up at Hero j in Irthlingbro food was excellent so was the service

Bangla Cafe is Rushden's diamond in the rough! The open plan seating makes for a festive atmosphere, which is well supported by the enthusiastic and engaging staff. I visited this place in Ramadan 2024, and I was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The staff went out of their way to look after me, providing exceptional service that was both attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, with a variety of options that were flavoursome and satisfying. The atmosphere was welcoming and respectful of the occasion, making it a comfortable place to dine during this special time. Highly recommended for both the quality of the food and the warmth of the hospitality!

Excellent food along with excellent staff

Food was fantastic, so tasty ... hadn't had a korma since being a child and it certainly took me back to my childhood 😄 so nice that I just didn't want to leave any even though I was so full. Staff really friendly , overall great atmosphere 👌

Disgraceful place. Shouldn’t be classed as a restaurant as not equipped. More like two conveyors on each side, no privacy, can’t get to the toilets and just feels like eating in a shop. Toilets also disgusting.

Fantastic meal and an amazing amount of food for the price. Best lamb passanda Ive had in a long time, real tender huge chunks of lamb. The place was very very busy so understandable a bit slower than normal, but worth the wait. Staff were really friendly too. Excellent!

My partner and I go to Cafe Bangla as part of our weekly "date night". Never had a bad meal, the staff are friendly and service is prompt. Exactly what we look for; no fuss, bother or hassle, just good food and a pleasant atmosphere.

A lovely restaurant serving excellent food. I particularly enjoy their Chicken tikka jalfrezi, gorgeous and the best in Rushden.... We have also had delivery food from there too which is still very good but not like sitting in. The keema naan is excellent too.

Guys- you have to try spicy chicken from Cafe Bangla- I was so amazed with the taste and food quality. Superb service, my order was prepared pretty quickly and well packed for take way. Friendly staff, nice and clean place. You definitely have to try their food yourself!

Good prices and food is excellent

Dont bother they are nasty! Take out was 2 small Chinese pots with 1 egg and some chips in each box was ment to be £8.50 omelet & chips not something I could pick up at McDonald's cheaper! Even Wishbones got more class than the people running this restaurant.

Went here with some girlfriends from work, was our 1st visit. Staff were very friendly. Food was amazing, out of this world and very reasonably priced. Definitely go again.

We had a great meal here. Arrived early as could not get served in the nearby Railway Tavern for pre dinner drinks. Was seated, drinks orders taken, not rushed. Food was generally of a good quality although a couple of the dishes were far to westernised for my liking. Attentiveness and atmosphere was great. Not my first visit here and deffinately won't be my last.

Hay your stars have just been lowered And nope we now wont return - I'm a honest reviewer! We were the x2 who sat in your restaurant on our own about 2 weeks ago as it was empty around 6.30pm and braught a massive amount off food to share !! Spent £90 including tip Ha your loss on our custom Glass off Malibu for the wife and your bar man was blind not seeing fly floating in the clear liquid - when those x2 customers come in sitting in the booth to change bind saying they have emergency and left - your staff member the one in the chequers blue n white shirt - walked to shut door calling them "idiots" As for your staff in general not 1 smile - and this was start of the shift on a quiet day p How dare you say I lie - your food is great but your attitude stinks 100% now I will not return Food 5☆☆☆☆☆ 100% no FAULTS lieing staff 1☆ But was a small fly in the glass of alcohol which I'm sure server was pretending not to see - wife showed me drink - easy to see - had to show proof to get fresh drink - staff looked like they didnt want to be there so wasnt the best service Also quite rude lot of bad language towards other customers as they left ! This is unacceptable as with out us your Bill's dont get paid!! will go again but may be my last if the staff haven't improved there attitude This is only due to the food being so good !!!

1st time trying Cafe Bangla after 6 years of living in Rushden and I was not dissapointed. Food arrived very quickly after ordered which was a bonus as I was absolutely hank marvin. Madras was hot but not too hot, flavoursome and plentiful. The Nan bread was very freshly prepared. Mrs had a Passanda and said it was one of the nicest she has had. Slick modern surroundings with great honeycomb mood lighting and great value for money. See you soon.

The food is good, and even the basic meals like chicken korma have alot of taste to them. Service is fast and they're friendly enough. However , I find the restaurant itself to be rather cramped. When people turn up for take away there's no designated area for them to stand and they're hanging awkwardly by the tables. This needs to be addressed and a specific area made. Queueing down the middle isle which is small doesn't work.

Love this restaurant! The food is so well cooked and full of flavour we order from them at least twice a month . The fact our 9 year old will now eat curry is thanks to cafe Bangla He wouldn’t touch it before but he loves there food ,to me that says a lot . Thank you all for cooking such yummy beautiful food

Gone down hill just dish up whatever is in the pan. Worst meal I have had from who used to be the best £42.50 gone in the bin. Last order from cafe Bangla I will ever make shame they used to be so good .

Me and my partner ordered last night, I had the Lamb Tikka Jalfrezi and she had the Chicken Tikka Madras and both were served piping hot. Mine tasted great accompanied by the Lime and Cashew rice which was a 1st for me and really combined well with the flavours of the curry. Never had a bad meal, would highly recommend eating in and taking away.

I went to this restaurant last night with my youngest son. The inside is nicely decorated. The food was lovely and pipping hot. The service was excellent, staff are very tentative, chatty and polite. Would recommend this restaurant.

The food here is absolutely lovely, the staff are brilliant, always make you feel welcome and at ease. The staff go above and beyond for their customers. I’ve had many takeaway and eat in experiences here and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. The team are a real credit to Cafe Bangla.

Updated: Consistently great food. Collected an order, last night but was a little disappointed with portion sizes. Spent £15 on standard curry, rice, bread & side veg. No complimentary poppadum or chutneys. I once got two servings from this, dinner for the next day! I understand prices are on the increase, my nann was so much smaller..Bring back the banquet deal on takewaway. Good value Indian restaurant, even more so when you order the 10.95 special. Food is always quality and good service. The only negative remark is there can be a steady stream of delivery drivers/customers walking through the restaurant, but that's just me being fussy. Give it a try!

Dined in for Christmas dinner. It was very crowded and staff were not wearing masks. Food was good though and staff were friendly.

My partner and I have visited many occasions pre and post covid - never ever disappointed. The menu is varied with lovely special dishes. Food is awesome with excellent service and atmosphere. Very good curry house, visted while attending Santa Pod, at the time of visiting they had 20% off both food and drink. Great food. Will definitely visit again when at the Pod.

Delivery time was good. BUT the food was not great. Ordered through Uber eats and you can only review the driver on there not the take away so reviewing here. I ordered lamb tikka dansak but got plain chicken dansak, I had ordered with an offer and presume they didn’t want to sell me lamb on the cheap. Got halfway through and a piece of the chicken was like chewing sand, I couldn't think why that would happen and quite frankly was nearly sick. Very disappointing.

Service was fairly good with the food turning up in about 45 minutes or so. I have only tried the food from Cafe Bangla on one previous occasion before they closed down. I enjoyed the food we had but I must admit I found the price extremely high for what we received. I have never paid nearly £40 for a takeaway for 3 meals and a side dish anywhere. That aside, everything was enjoyed and our food was of a decent standard. The price may, however, put me off for future visits. Very good food though. Visited 12th April 2021

Not our regular takeaway, which was over-committed when we phoned; 2 hour wait, so we thought we’d try Cafe Bangla for the first time. Order placed over the phone. All very efficient and a 45 minute delivery, which was fine. And it arrived bang on time. The food was fresh and tasty for sure. Certainly enjoyable. However, we were told on the phone it would be just shy of £25. We were hungry and didn’t want to waste time phoning round elsewhere, so we went for it. Checking our menu though, we added it up and it came to a total of £18. Phoned back to query this and were told we must have an old menu. The chap then gave me a couple of prices of items we ordered before I stopped him. The curry dish itself was apparently £2.50 more expensive on its own than our menu said! We really wanted dinner, so went ahead and asked if they could send an up to date menu with our food. No new menu was sent when our food arrived. Ive checked the website this morning and the prices are all as per our “old” menu. So an inexplicable and quite extraordinary increase in price and no evidence to show. As I said at the top, the food was fresh and tasty and arrived in good time. On the basis of these prices though, we have only retained the menu, now emblazoned with the words “EXPENSIVE! NO!” in marker pen, as a reminder to us not to order here again. Shame. The menu looks interesting and well-priced. No telling what they’ll actually charge when you place an order though!

After ordering online I then had to wait another hour plus. After ruining them to check they had received my order I was told they hadn’t only to get a knock at the door 10 mins later from a bemused driver unsure why they didn’t know he had the order. Food was cool, very poor quality and more disappointing had no taste and was covered in oil. After a few mouthfuls it went straight in the bin after giving me a stomach ache after just a few mouthfuls. Not what I expected at all each dish was exactly the same colour and all tasted the same even though we had ordered separate curry’s. Last time ordering from here........gutted.

I have frequented this established for years and now with the refurbishment it looks great. The guys have done a fantastic job, the service and food is always quality. As and when you can get down there and enjoy some good food and ambiance! Many thanks guys! See you in the new year!

great food at good prices. they are the best

The first time I ordered from these guys a couple of months back, all the food was excellent. Today, the lamb madras I ordered was the only dish of 4 that was any good. It was well spiced, flavourful with a good level of heat but the side dishes were very bland and in one case undercooked (no one likes crunchy cauliflower). Guys, what happened to all your amazing food??! Such a shame when a place loses consistency like this. Like I said, my first order was awesome; everything was delicious but today it feels like no thought went into it. Really disappointed.

Not our usual Indian take a way but as it was rated No2 on trip advisor thought we would try it, big mistake both myself and my wife were unimpressed there was just no typical Indian flavour to anything we ate how Cafe Bangla got such good reviews is beyond me in my opinion the worst Indian in Rushden

We haven’t eaten here for over three years so thought we would give it another try, the food had great flavour and as much as we wanted to enjoy it we couldn’t get past the fact it was stone cold, really disappointing!
