Spectacular food. We’ve been going to this takeaway for a few months now-recommended to us by a friend after our local Indian takeaway went downhill. The food is absolutely delicious, lovely spices and cooked to perfection. Staff are friendly and welcoming and food is reasonably priced. Discount offered if you pay cash on collection.

We've just had our first takeaway from here. Food arrived pretty quickly. And more importantly the food was very tasty indeed!! Thoroughly enjoyed our food. After being a bit underwhelmed lately by our usuals, I think we have found our new go to for Indian food. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It is rare to see one's food prepared in front of your eyes. Lovely people, who talk to you. Food was very good, ivasked for more filling for the ban bread, excellent.

We enjoyed a delicious chicken wrap that can easily rival any top shawarma, and the lamb biryani is so flavorful that it speaks for itself. This place is for the best takeout for authentic Indian cuisine.

Tried this curry again this evening after a few years. What a quality surprise, the food was amazing, very fresh and great portion sizes. The Chicken Shashlik was incredible, Tarka Dhall lovely and thick and the Chicken Tikka Korai was very flavoursome. Overall a great experience with lovely customer service. Will be ordering from there again.

Best tandoori takeaway in the area by far. We order regularly. My number 1 go to for a curry. Food always tastes good, and arrives hot. compliments to the chefs 👨‍🍳 prices are also very good compared to other places around the area. Would definitely recommend the lamb dishes as its my favourite.

After reading the reviews on here we decided to give them a try. When I went to collect our order there was some confusion over the price. When I arrived home we sat down to eat…… what a disappointment. My dish had 5 - 6 small cubes of chicken in it and whilst being hot lacked flavour. My wife took 5 or 6 fork fulls and announced that she was finished. The meat in the kemanan was grey and watery. The only good thing that came with the dishes were the popadoms……. I can’t believe the reviews on here? How was our meal sooooo bad? Makes me wonder about the authenticity of some reviews….

Amazing food , fresh, tasty and honestly the best around. Love the curries and rice , best naan bread around aswell. If you haven't tried the wraps then do , they are a cheeky treat

10/10, if we could rate this takeaway higher we would. Best Indian either of us have ever had and never look elsewhere to eat. Food is absolutely delicious and the staff are so lovely. The food is made with passion and you can see that when they are cooking it in front of you!

Tried a tikka chicken wrap.. first time .. wow ! It is amazing !!!! Along with the balti , saag aloo rice and fresh naan bread we was in heaven 😋 Never ever had bad food from here , a firm favourite!

I ordered chicken madras slightly off menu and it was prepared to my exact requirements. My dish was absolutely delicious and served with great courtesy. Would highly recommend and the Tandori takeaway will be my regular whenever I'm in this area.

Had home delivery from them twice in the last month. Quite quick delivery, but the food was amazing, both myself and my husband have really enjoyed the food both times. Lush

Honestly I cannot express enough to anyone how amazing the food Is here . And last might I ventured out for a meal .. mybusual chicken balti but elsewhere ! .... I was so disappointed .. it was not a patch on Tandoori .. And I must add I am very fussy :/ I was put on a strict diet after losing my bowel so when I was allowed to eat real food again my senses had changed dramatically ! Processed food is the pits . And I find other takeaways use meat that is processed . Too much oil in food etc. I assure you all from my new found senses haha that the food here is fresh .. not over oily at all .. and prope fresh food and meat . The naan breads are the best around also . And well as for the price .. ? Cheapest around and much better value for money. Do not ever leave this town :D

We were looking for more variety and less oil in a takeaway and found this via a Google search - we were astonished by the volume of excellent reviews and are happy to add ours to them, we ordered a variety of dishes, all were reasonably priced and delivered on time and hot. The ingredients were excellent and the balance of flavours and heat for our taste was spot on. We are looking forward to working our way through the menu.

me and my partner recently placed an order with yourselves, there wasn't a lot to remember. one of our dishes was wrong and we was given something we have never had or ordered before, let alone what it was called. we also didn't receive our rice, so two things missing. when we rang Tandoori, we told them our problem. the man on the phone persisted to tell us that we had ordered that dish and that we were wrong when he was false, we had not ordered the dish we got. He then said he could send out a rice which we thought that wasn't good enough as we had two dishes missing. we wanted our dishes or our money back basically. the man was loud over the phone, rude, argumentative and was addiment we was wrong. Little note, 'customer is always right'. My partner then bagged the food up and gave it back as we no longer wanted to eat their food as there was a meal missing and we were annoyed they took our money and gave us the wrong food and did not want to give us our money back or rectify the issue by giving us the right food we ordered. It then took a a while in the shop to get my money back as the man again was being very rude and argumentative. after then he saw sense and realised 'if I can forget the rice then maybe I could of forgot the order' and got my money back. we were loyal customers for a long time with Tandoori but today we forever say goodbye.

We have never ordered from here, but my hubby was passing through. I rang to query how much coconut was in the Pathia. The guy could not have been more polite and helpful. I rang back to place the order. They were super friendly. Hubby picked up the order, said he could watch the chefs cooking, always a plus. It was absolutely super and still hot, 13 miles later! We will be back! Really impressed!

Consistently good. Have been getting food from Naz and the team for many years. Haven’t been for a while since moving but popped in tonight for a collection of my usual lamb vindaloo and sag paneer and just perfection as always.

Usually very nice, however has gone down hill last few times, tonight's was horrendous, chicken was rough and full of gristle, will not order again!

We order a lot of hot curry from different places, we love the flavour of the naga chilli with the creamy dansak and these guys absolutely smashed it, didn't hold back on the heat and it was by far one of the best dishes we've experienced

The open kitchen is brilliant, my previous favourite closed and I'm now so glad it did, the curry from here is top drawer, I really love the Naga, thanks Jason

Curry was absolutely lovely, literally the only thing that let it down was the onion bhajis they were dry and rock hard? So really 4.7stars out of 5. Will definitely use again

Wow! Now I've lived in Higham for 13 years and was loyal to another Indian in the area, however, their standards have drastically dropped so I gave this place a shot. Now everything I ordered was fresh and extremely tasty. I cannot wait to order again. I have found my new indian takeaway!

I haven’t eaten at irthlingborough restaurants for 15 years. Wanted a 5 star hygiene rating to convince me. Found the reviews on TA and tried this takeaway. Went to collect….Well………………………. I knew from first stepping in the place that all was going to be fab. Open plan/view kitchen with many elders cooking. Always know from that type of environment all will be well. I had pre ordered a bespoke chilli Vegetable tikka masala. Well… what an absolute taste bud delight. Just fantastic. Cannot recommend enough if you want authentic food. Thank you.

Everytime it's 100%. Tonight they excelled themselves with a personal request . Chicken Tikka Chilli Masssala with green chillies . Wow . Totally amazing . The flavours poured onto the palate .. sweetness of the massala sauce then followed with the kick of the chillies...

Wonderful food so tasty and very polite staff

I had a prawn vindaloo, hot and full of flavour. Perhaps a little too much sauce, could have done with a few more prawns - I plan to save the sauce for another day. We also had the chicken raza- (something like that) and it was also really nice. Great food, at a good price. Thank you

Best Indian Takeaway for miles. The food is flavoursome and unmatched by anybody else in the area. It’s well priced and should you want something really hot and spicy go for a Lloyds Special. Careful this is not for the faint hearted or Korma lovers!!!...

We enjoy this takeaway most weeks and have to say this is consistently the best Indian for miles around. Naz and the team are super friendly, the food is amazing.....great fresh naans and brilliant value. Lamb lloydy special is a great dish...as are the chicken...

This is, without question, the best Indian take away I’ve ever come across. Their consistency is excellent and they serve better food than most restaurants! Their ‘Ask Naz’ proposition where you can ask for what you like, or even alter a normal dish, is excellent...

Absolutely stunning takeaway. Had the chicken tikka rezzella and chicken amli, with pilau rice and peshwari naan. All delicious, so fresh and tasty. Would highly recommend. About an hour wait on a sat night so best book early but well worth the wait.

We go here every week, amazing food, popadoms are always fresh, Chicken Pathia is great sweet and spicy. Chicken Akbori is another favourite. We wouldn’t go anywhere else now

Ordered from here a few weeks ago. The Lamb Naga and Chicken Motki were good. Nans were light and fluffy, popadums were crisp and the condiments served were up to a decent standard. Service was efficient. All in all, a good experience.

This is a tremendous Indian takeaway. You need to try their jalfrezi it is superb. Always quick and friendly service. Naz the owner runs a tight ship in there and you never have to wait long. The tastes of the dishes are fantastic all round. Prices are very reasonable to. Top job guys.

I cannot fault this take away. Food is plentiful and well cooked. I ordered for a party of 9 the day before as never wanted to eat late, and the take away was delivered on time. Nothing is to much trouble for Naz and colleagues, so l will be definitely be using Tandoori takeaway again.

We live about 15 miles away from this takeaway but regularly have food from here. The shop itself is unassuming but fascinating as the chefs (and there can be easily 7-8 there at one time) are all on display so to speak so you see your dish(es) being prepared right in front of you. A pinch of this, a dab of that, a spoonful of this one etc etc it’s great to watch. Now to the food; between us we’ve tried maybe half the menu and every single dish had been scrumptious. Really tasty without being overly spiced, beautiful meat and chicken and prawns and vegetables and all cooked properly. AND you don’t get that awful garlic aftertaste that stays with you all night and wakes you up at 3.00am with indigestion.This is the one and only takeaway we ever recommend to our friends and the only one we use if we decide to have takeaway with our friends at home.Go on give it a go - you will not be disappointed.

Each time over and over, the taste is just so good I just can’t get enough, the lads made me a King Prawn Puree, it was so moorish and yummy. Hats off to the lads. Evey inch of effort goes into every single dish. Keep up the top work love you loads.

Quality on last few occasions has been reasonable for a cheap takeaway, but today chicken tikka Masala and korai were quite bland and watery Onion Bhajee wasnt very good

Brilliant place, they cook the food in front of you while you wait, no secrets! You couldn't better transparency in a restaurant. The chefs there are so hard working, and polite also, the counter staff so polite in the shop and over the phone. I've asked for certain specific requirements in a recipe and they've always been met.

We still continue to chose the Tandori takeaway as our favourite food around - years later. We would rather get a takeaway from here than eat at local sit-in restaurants, I think that says a lot!! Masala of chicken was half cooked and full of oil. Okra and chana masala was not up to the mark. Reading all previous reviews, my expectations were really high! Thanks.

Visited today to celebrate my brothers birthday, and it was absolutely magnificent, service was impeccable and the staff are very helpful, and lets not forget about the food it was one of the best Indian restaurants you can find. 100% recommend you will not regret it!

Was recommended this take away by many friends and finally got a chance to try it. Ordered over the phone and was told 30 minutes. Went round after 27 and it was ready near enough to the second. Best thing was to watch the kitchen in action whilst waiting for a few minutes. Well oiled, six guys full on working. Don't see that on a building site or on road works! Great food. Ordered two chicken korais which were really tasty. Containers are not full, but are a good size container so not too worried. Had sides, rice and a couple of other dishes and we're good fresh and tasty dishes. Will def go again. Enjoy

Good food great staff what more could you want

This was our favourite takeaway, however ordered on 21st December, although what we had tasted good spice wise, all the tubs were only half full, the vegetable curry was the worst I've ever had with what looked like tinned carrots and peas, the chicken was dry, hard and tasted pre-cooked some time ago, this was the place to go but I think we will try elsewhere, no longer recommended as the best curry house in Higham Ferrers, someone needs to get a grip as standards have slipped, the decline seems like lazy cooks.

This place is the best takeaway we've had. I travel 15 mins each way despite several local restaurants on our doorstep that deliver... Chicken Amali highly recommended

My friend, Hiten Patel introduced me to this sumptuous Tandoori takeaway nestled in Northampton, England recently. The owner, Naz gave us a tour of his ostentatious outlet. It was so pleasant, clean and inviting. The secret in each deliciously prepared recipe uses only the freshest and highest quality ingredients to suit even the most discriminating palate, extricating exotic flavors and subtle tastes of India’s finest cuisine.

Open kitchen with friendly chefs who are nice to deal with, it’s very good so can get quite busy, book ahead or go for a pint while it’s being freshly cooked. Lovely grub!

Naz makes lovely wraps here. And will always try to accommodate your request.

Genuinely the best indian takeaway i have ever had .. better than any restaurants I have visted. Naan breads are amazing and all food is always fresh hot and seriously tasty .. im a little shy with spices so always ask for mild and they do a grand job :)

I know it's easy to say "wow I had a good curry last night" however, this takeaway has to be up there. Not only did I order from them and pay cash to gain the 10 % discount but they held the food for me. Sadly I came back to the takeaway and they were closed (my fault)...little did I know they had messaged me saying "don't worry Ben, we have dropped it off at your house. It's the little things like this these days that keep good curry houses in business and I will sit eating this food with a fat belly and a smile on my face. Big respect to you guys!
