The best restaurants in United Kingdom

Was told this was the best cafe in Loughborough. An absolute lie, was served raw mushrooms and a grilled tomato that looked like it hadn’t even seen the grill. The cappuccino was so bitter and even sugar couldn’t even save it. Would not recommend.

We received an extremely warm welcome . Everything was very relaxed and comfortable. We chose to eat inside, but there is a lovely beer garden at the back with plenty of tables. The service was superb and friendly throughout. The food was excellent. Substantial fish and chips, mouth watering confit of pork belly, delightful halloumi fries. The baby scallop with pea purée starter was a highlight. A delightful lunch with friends and good value . I hope to return very soon

We had a fabulous night here in March. It was a family reunion, including a couple of dogs. The food was really good, especially the homemade steak pie. The service was brilliant, with a good bit of banter and humour. They welcomed our dogs with open arms, even when they started to play. It truly was a brilliant evening. Thank you for your 100% excellent service and making us feel more than welcome.

Edit December 2023: The venue has been closed down with an emergency health notice. After many years going very regularly, it seems Bar Maroc are having difficulties to remain well stocked and well attended :( Visited twice in recent times and card machine not working, drinks selection very limited, no fizzy drinks (or was advised the non-alcoholic draughts would be pretty flat), ran out of juice and pizzas quickly, no more marinated olives. Not sure if it's the summer hols or students being away but the venue was pretty empty. It's a real shame as this is really a unique institution in Huddersfield. Hopefully only a temporary difficult period for the venue 🙏🏼

Our favourite Indian. Always happy polite staff, Delicious food cooked to a high standard and of course, the main sign of a good indian takeaway..... extra poppadoms. How can you fault that? 😍

Celebramos una celebración especial a bordo de la Condesa. De principio a fin, el día fue absolutamente perfecto! El personal, la tripulación y el chef eran de primera categoría y cada huésped se fue con una sonrisa. Se sintió como una experiencia única en la vida y sin duda lo recomendaría a los visitantes y lugareños por igual! Ya estamos planeando o el próximo crucero.

Top 3 kebabs I've had in my life. Great value. Authentic feel for the place + friendly staff. Seating is a bit old but not that bad hence the 3 stars for the atmosphere.

Delicious Greek food, if you closed your eyes you could pretend to be sitting in a patio in a small Greek village. We'll definitely be back!

Visited with friends for an evening meal & had the early bird menu, the choice is excellent for starters & mains with Vegetarian options & fish, meat options. We visit often & every visit has been excellent quality food, service is exceptional & staff are brilliant, you don’t feel rushed & the atmosphere is perfect for anyone visiting, excellent for celebrations - we had a birthday celebration here .

I had an amazing experience at Beefalo Meat House and couldn’t recommend it more highly. The first thing that stood out was the warm, welcoming atmosphere – the place was clean, stylish, and comfortable, making it perfect for a relaxed meal out. The pricing was also very reasonable for the quality of food and service. Everything felt fair and well worth it, especially considering the portions and taste. You can really tell they care about the quality of their meat and how it's prepared. What truly made the evening special, though, was the outstanding customer service. Katrina and Alisha were our servers, and they were both absolutely fantastic – friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. They made sure we were well taken care of without being intrusive, and their upbeat attitudes added to the overall great vibe of the place. If you're looking for a spot with delicious food, fair prices, and top-notch service, Beefalo Meat House is it. This was my 2nd time going and I’ll definitely be back again!

We had a great meal in this excellent restaurant. They serve what they call 'Scottish Tapas', letting you try lots of different dishes with a Scottish slant. There are Meat, Fish and Vegetarian options with lots of side dishes and all of the ones we chose were delicious. And the waiting staff were helpful, efficient and charming. Would go again at the drop of a hat.
