Wonderful restaurant. Lovely food and staff.

We ordered 2 rib eye steaks, both of which were fatty and gristly. We mentioned this to the waiter who spoke to the chef and explained that unfortunately this is how they are. I’ve never had fatty rib eye before so can only think these were poor quality. The rest of the food was lovely and the service was great but as this is the second time I’ve been left disappointed with my main meal (last year I returned my lasagne as it was terrible) so we probably won’t be returning here.

Mi marido Peter y yo fuimos ayer por la tarde. Tuvimos una comida encantadora, y vino. El ambiente es genial, y siempre toman tiempo de todos y cada uno, incluso cuando es el cumpleaños de alguien.

Qué despistado es el personal de este lote. . . , fiesta de 9 niños bebés de todo tipo. . . los entrantes principales salieron escalonados e insípidos. . plato de tortellini estaba claramente hervido con algunas passatas en frasco en él. . . realmente soso. . sin color. . . pizza cubierta resbaladizo no estaba realmente cocinado y era la misma pizza que sacaron como entrante y hora antes y se llevó de vuelta. . . la canción de cumpleaños viene con música loca y alta literalmente cada 5 minutos. . no hay flujo auténtico broma mal ejecutada. . . aceptaron la falta y se ofrecieron a deducir todos los costos de comida y pagar la cuenta de bebidas. . . a £ 4. 25 por una coca dietética y 25 libras por una botella de vino de la casa... no solo era pobre sino que era pobre extorsionante... 3a vez que me enamoré de esta broma de un restaurante 🤢

Este restaurante es genial si lo que quieres es excelente comida a precios razonables. Tienen una gran oferta de temprano todo el día en un domingo que era ideal para mí mi pareja y nuestro hijo de un año. Nada era demasiado pedir y atendían bien a los niños. A nuestra llegada nuestra mesa tenía una trona, plato infantil y cubiertos ya esperándonos. Definitivamente hará de este nuestro lugar regular como familia.

What an amazing experience. After recently been diagnosed as needing a gluten free diet I spoke to the manager/owner (Italian lady with blonde. Sorry didn't catch her name🤦🏽‍♀️) she went through all the menu with me. Instead of it being very limited like I have been used to there was so many gluten free options to choose from. In fact there wasn't much on the menu that I couldn't have which was such a refreshing change. I looked at the menu, wanted pate with toast and thought, "I won't be able to have that!"... But I could, just with gluten free toast. Lots of pasta, pizza, mains and starters were OK for me to have too. We will definitely be going there again. Thank you to all the staff there. Amazing service, amazing menu and the staff were very welcoming and helpful too.

Qué experiencia increíble. Después de que recientemente me diagnosticaran que necesitaba una dieta sin gluten hablé con el gerente / propietario (señora italiana con rubia. Perdón por no haber cogido su nombre🤦🏽‍♀️) repasó todo el menú conmigo. En lugar de ser muy limitado como he estado acostumbrado, había tantas opciones sin gluten para elegir. De hecho, no había mucho en el menú que no pudiera tener, lo que fue un cambio tan refrescante. Miré el menú, quise un paté con tostadas y pensé: "¡No podré tener eso!"... Pero podría, solo con tostadas sin gluten. Un montón de pasta, pizza, red y entrantes estaban bien para mí también. Sin duda volveremos allí de nuevo. Gracias a todo el personal. Servicio increíble, menú increíble y el personal era muy acogedor y servicial también.

live locally twice have tried to dine here and been turned away. First time we popped in off spec and were told they were too busy . Fair enough. Today I call and asked if open and do we need to reserve ? we will be down in 15 mins ? No problem till we got there and were turned away again and quite rudely and with arrogance Even though it must be this good seeing as they are so “ busy “ i won’t bother trying a 3rd time . Shame since i would quite like a very local Italian eatery

Fui a los Rocchios anoche con los niños. La comida fue perfecta como siempre, el personal super amable y para colmo tuvieron a Santa visita y repartir regalos a todos los niños e incluso los adultos recibieron un poco de algo. Nunca tenemos una mala experiencia yendo allí. 10 / 10 recomiendo! Los niños se despertaron hoy preguntando si podemos volver pronto😋 gracias por una gran noche!

Tuve una comida encantadora aquí a mitad de semana poniéndome al día con un amigo. El restaurante estaba bastante ocupado temprano en la noche un miércoles, que probablemente se reduce a la madrugada. Son 17 libras. 95 por dos platos y creo que tal vez 20 libras. 95 por tres. Hay una muy buena elección, la mayoría del menú para ser justos. Tenía el melón para empezar y mi amigo la mozzarella. Como principal tenía el pollo kiev con verduras y patatas y mi amigo la pasta de pollo. La comida era excelente y el servicio bueno. Los cumpleaños felices son un poco estremecedores y tan ruidosos! ¡Cuando has oído hablar de las 3 de la noche empieza a rallar un poco! Quizás coincidan con algunas críticas en que no hay mucho ambiente y es muy casual, pero ciertamente no hay quejas con la comida o el valor.

La primera vez en el Rocchio, fui a dar un regalo de cumpleaños a mi marido. A la llegada lo primero que nos golpeó fue el ruido. . . . era RUIDOSO! ! Si usted está después de una comida íntima tranquila este no es el lugar para usted. No hay ambiente y honestamente no había nada auténtico en él en absoluto. Me había esforzado por vestirme para el cumpleaños de mi marido pero no tenía por qué haberme molestado, digamos que la mayoría de la gente no había hecho ningún esfuerzo. El personal de camareros era lo suficientemente agradable, pero tuvimos que pedirles que gritaran porque apenas se podía oír nada por encima del ruido. La comida era promedio en el mejor de los casos. Pedí Lasaña que estaba apenas caliente y muy seco en el centro. Dejé la mayor parte. La principal de mi marido era marginalmente mejor pero no memorable. Nos fuimos temprano y muy decepcionados. Solo para añadir, el aparcamiento tampoco es bueno y no hay acceso para discapacitados. No volveré a visitarte.

First time visiting for our family and we had a fabulous night as my stepson said he’s always wanted to come here so I booked it for him. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was perfect, the prices are more than reasonable and to top it off the staff (along with all the customers) sang happy birthday to my stepson for his 12th birthday and he was over the moon! We like to dine out as a family regularly and, we where pleasantly surprised, so we will definitely be visiting more often😊

We had a Party of 14 all looked after all food came out at the same time 👍. Great Tasting Food 👌.

First time eating in this establishment tonight and the food was amazing! Could only manage a starter and main but both myself and misses loved every bit. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

The atmosphere was great, the staff were friendly and attentive and made sure that pour food was to our liking and that we had enjoyed our experience. The food was very good and the prices very reasonable.

We came here for our anniversary as I proposed to my wife here 8 years ago. Although the name has changed the food and the service is still superb. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

First visit tonight to celebrate my daughter’s 30th. Staff were really friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and plentiful. Mum and dad shared a starter and they brought it out on 2 separate plates which was a really lovely touch. Overall a really wonderful evening. Would definitely recommend.

Very helpful staff. Good quality food. The pizzas were particularly good. Drinks were not too expensive. The restaurant can be very crowded on a Saturday night, but this did not spoil the atmosphere. I would recommend this restaurant.

We ate here last night, for my Daughters birthday, they don't usually open on Tuesdays, but they made an exception because a large birthday party had already been booked. It was excellent, the food, the drinks and the service were all first class. We had a mixture of starters, calamari, ribs and prawns, all delicious. My Husband and I chose the sea bass as our mains, cooked to perfection and with a nice side of vegetables. My Daughter and Granddaughter chose the steaks, again cooked to perfection and nicely presented. The service was exceptionally good, even though it was really busy, we didn't have to wait long for anything. All the staff were friendly and attentive, nothing was to much trouble. Loved the surprise birthday hat and complimentary drink at the end. All in all it was a lovely evening and one which we will definitely wish to repeat in the future.

Amazing. Visited on Friday 31st May2024x Staff were polite and very friendly. 2x birthdays while on site and the birthday celebrations with all staff taking part is very good.. everyone enjoying the celebrations. Food was excellent and great value for money. We usually spend £80+ at other Italian restaurants. Wine wasn’t overly expensive. Below £8 a glass.. which isn’t bad in terms of today’s prices. We will be back. RECOMMENDED 5*

In response to the absurd reviews below, I'd like to say that I've never had a bad meal at this restaurant, the portions are far from small (though I appreciate it's all relative), the staff are lovely and friendly, and the food is very tasty!

De rocchio Italian restaurant. Thornton road. What a right load of rubbish.. Noisy as hell, the food is rubbish and the service is disgusting!!! Apart from ourselves and two other couples who made an effort the place was full of people with no dress sense, trainers, t/ shirts and young girls that looked like they was ready to stand on seedy street corners awaiting business!! Some parents have no shame at all, mind you, the mothers looked like they would standing on the other side of the road.!! Am I a snob ?? Or is it I just expected people to make an effort when going out for an evening meal !! On arrival at the bar I asked for 2 Kia’s . A Kia is a palate cleanser,, it gets ya mouth ready for ya meal, it’s very good and if you’re a foodie I would try it !! It’s simply a cheap white wine and blackcurrant cassis that’s all but be careful, it’s strong , they didn’t even know what it was, the young lady who served us was ignorant and had an attitude too. We got seated and ordered, The table bread was gorgeous, 🙄.. So for starters I had the mozzarella carroza, “ breade deep fried mozzarella with a tomato garlic sauce, and a bit of a green pesto drizzle The Mrs had chicken liver pate, The mozzarella was flat, looked like a slice of deep fried bread, i was hungry so i ate and it wasn’t that bad but mozzarella comes in balls not slices , if it’s sliced then it’s bought in rubbish, but the chicken liver pate was exactly the same as Lidl or aldi, to fine to made in house, a pate made in house always comes in a pot with a layer of fat on it !! , For mains the Mrs had the beef stroganoff, It came with a good helping of stroganoff and a small cup of rice,, the wife had one mouth full, got a napkin and discreetly spat it into the napkin. The meat was tough and grisly, the rice was cold and dry ! She did try bit of meat on her plate and spat them out in to a napkin again. The menu said it was filet beef, it most certainly was not !! Then she found pickled girkins in it, PICKED GIRKINS ?! 🤷🏻‍♂️🙈. I had the rib eye with roast potatoes carrots, broccoli and pepper corn sauce. I asked for medium well done. It arrived, the thinnest portion of steak I’d ever seen and it was well done, to be honest it was so thin it would be impossible to undercook! The veg was over cooked too, I ate it because I was starving as we’d just walked out off another restaurant because they changed the menu to a tapas style full of Asian style bajis and pork balls “ not exactly what I wanted, I want a nice meal ! I felt guilty for eating mine as the wife left hers ! The waiter came, asked what the problem was with the wife’s food, and then I told him, he brought the manager.. the manager arrived at the table, we told her about our food, and I told her the pate was from lidle , she did confirm this, then I asked her would she get away with serving this rubbish in Italy and she said no, I the replied “ if that’s the case then why do you think you can in England”! She shrugged her shoulders.. and walked away.. We asked for a coffee and a double vodka lemonade. The Mrs said there’s no vodka in lemonade, I asked the waitress to put vodka in it nd she said she put vodka in, shot us a dirty look and walked off, I lost my rag, walked to bar area and gave the drink to an adult to try, she said it’s sweet and no vodka in it !! We settled our bill for what I thought was right to pay for and left .. So…. If youre looking for a nice meal with real in house Italian food , good service with a romantic setting and you want to make effort and dress up then this most certainly isn’t the place to go ! But if you’re a chav, let ya kids dress like gangsters and tarts and you live off takeaways and ya Mrs can’t cook unless out of a packet then you will love this place !!! Very disappointed!! When it was villa roma its wasn’t bad at all !!

We usually get a take away from here. The food is always exceptional and the service is wonderful. It's a tad more expensive than getting a regular takeaway but it's certainly worth it for the excellent food and the consistency. We've eaten in the restaurant a year or so ago and whilst the place is really lovely, it feels a little cold and it's way too bright.

The food was excellent, options for gluten free were pointed out and all staff were really helpful. I have had problems in other restaurants where the choice was limited or even non existent.. here was lovely to go where I felt my particular dietary needs were catered for with a large variety of choice.

The four of us had a really good time. Thank you all so much. This was a belated birthday treat for our Granddaughter, Georgia. The four of us, myself, my husband, Georgia, and her boyfriend, Georgia, really enjoyed it.

Seriously 5 star for everything. Very welcoming and top service. Would definitely recommend.

Went for our Christmas meal with all our family on Friday early evening. 7 adults & 5 children various ages. Everyone had something different and all enjoyed the food. 3 courses alot to eat so staff packed up the left over pizzas to take home. I had the duck & orange pate and then the tagliolini con pollo e spinachi - absolutely delicious. At £25 for 3 courses and coffee thought it was excellent value. All the staff were excellent. Very polite & attentive. The restaurant is clean & airey. A very pleasant venue for our family christmas meal out. Would recommend. The only criticism I would give is the drinks are a bit pricey.

Went today 14th Dec 2023 for the 1st time. Greeted well by staff showed to our table by friendly staff got a drink and given plenty of time to decide what we wanted. Starter came pretty quickly which was very nice ( I had pate my partner had garlic mushrooms) then given time to eat before main came which was fantastic (I had beef stroganoff my partner had pizza) which again was lovely then at the end of the meal we where offered a complimentary drink which was a lovely gesture. I truly recommend this restaurant, lovely food, great staff, and reasonable priced

Popped in for the early bird with our 2 children as we live local. Managed to get a table last minute which was no trouble and the food was delicious. We had a problem with one of the starters but this was rectified no problem by staff and we still enjoyed the rest of our meals. Really good value for money and the Xmas crackers and music made a great atmosphere in the lead up to Xmas

This is one of my top 5 places to eat. Service is fantastic, food is amazing always a great atmosphere and the price is really fair. This restaurant has been going years and each experience is always just perfect.

First time visiting and I absolutely loved It! The food was delicious! The service was efficient, friendly and professional! Beautiful lay out of the restraint, cosy and classy. Early bird menu is a great price.

This is our absolute favorite restaurant ever the food, atmosphere and staff are incredible my little one Anushka absolutely adores the ladies here and they have become like family we are always welcomed with warmth and smiles and the staff treat everyone as if you were in their home its an amazing place to go we dont eat anywhere else i definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone.
