Aldo's Italian in Bradford

We thought the pizzas were distinctly average. Won’t say I’d never go back but definitely won’t be rushing. Admittedly we only had takeaway but even so there is much better available locally.

Booked a table for my granddaughter’s 9th birthday. They were very accommodating as we kept changing number of guests. Had a fabulous evening. Fantastic food and excellent service from all staff. Special thank you to Janet who went that extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. Lovely friendly relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. Already booked for my birthday.

Booked a baby shower here paid for 30 people at £12 per head. They promised food from the menu, pastas, pizzas and we got 3 very small pizzas pork pies, sausage rolls and a few sandwiches nothing special like they said there was going to be with it been the premium buffet. Some people didn't even eat because there wasn't enough to go round. Also was promised restaurant crockery, we was given plastic plates. Very crammed in there no windows to open got hot in there, toilets are not clearly labelled, it's a fire hazard. I had my grandma there and there was no suitable seating, spinning bar stools which tip. My daughter with autism had been promised a small pizza to herself, she didn't even get that which lead to a lot of distress/ meltdown, this forced her to be taken out for a walk and she ended up having to eat at sainsburys. I am extremely disappointed I did ring up about this complaint on Tuesday, I was told managers were all off for 2 days and that the manager will ring me back Thursday, it's now Sunday still no call. I am deeply shocked and everyone that was there was also shocked, this was so embarrassing. I will be putting reviews up on trip advisor aswel. I won't be coming back.

Just moved to the area and saw aldos had good reviews so booked for Saturday night for a birthday meal. It was very busy but also very very warm We ordered drinks and the coke was flat when the owner came across my partner asked to take the coke and have water. I really feel this is not a big issue and we wouldn’t have thought anything of it but the face he pulled almost rolling his eye was very off puttingThe food overall was ok but feel the amount of garlic sauce the pour over the dishes is too much. The prawns were literally swimming, the chicken main and steak were the same. sauce would be nice in a jug on the side There were a few issues and no one asked at any point if everything was ok or asked if we wanted more drinksThe steak my partner didn’t like at all and to be fair was taken off the bill as he didn’t eat any of it We have been to the Stansfield arms up the road a week before and preferred there

Just the two of us on a Thursday night had the early bird menu. Great value food and wine we had meatballs and salmon and prawn salad for starters and tuna and sea bass for mains. Fish beautifully cooked and wine not over priced. Staff were all so friendly and attentive even though restaurant was full. Great buzzing vibe. Book early especially for weekends.

Me and my boyfriend absolutely love coming to Aldo's! Food is always excellent, portion sizes are very generous, and value for money is brilliant. The restaurant is full no matter what day of the week you go, which means the atmosphere is always buzzing. The staff are great, we always have dishes and wines to pair with your meal recommended to us. Although I always go for the pate as its so so delicious. Can't wait to book again!

Went for father-in-law’s birthday. Service was very quick and atmosphere was buzzing for a Sunday night. Food was hearty and tasty. £13.95 for two courses is fantastic value. Put a sparkler on the pudding for birthday, nice touch. Will return.

We went last Tuesday with my husband, his brother and my sister-in-law,for the early bird menu.We were pleased we had booked, as the restaurant was very busy, always a good sign.There is such an excellent choice of starters and main courses, that it took us a little time to choose, but we were not rushed.My husband chose Caprese salad to start, which he said was really good.I had the chicken liver pate, which was also delicious.For mains, my husband and his brother had the Mexican beef fillet with rice, which they said was extremely tasty.I had chicken stroganoff which was very tender in a lovely creamy mushroom and shallot sauce, mmm’ mouth wateringly good.We had a bottle of Verdicchio (which we love),to have with our meal,which at £18 a bottle was reasonable value.

It was a last minute booking but we were nicely accommodated. All staff were very helpful and friendly. We ordered from the early bird menu which is extremely good value. The food was beautiful

We have visited Aldos many times and the quality is just superb. Every visit the standard never drops. If you haven’t been then get yourself down there. My favourite place to eat.

Booked for 4 for birthday meal. Was smaller than expected not much room between tables. There was a couple of large parties which didn’t help. Food was very tasty and you got plenty and there was lots of choice . All in all very good

This was the first time we had been back to this restaurant under its current ownership - will definitely not be the last! From the first step in, to the last out the service and hospitality was friendly, warm, and, welcoming. We went as a party of 6 for a family birthday, and, it being Friday early evening had booked - good job, the place was packed at 17:30 ! Menu is comprehensive and the choices for the Early Bird are very substantial, from standard Italian pizza and pasta to fish and meat dishes. Service was good, and Aldo is very visible around the restaurant and happy to stop for a chat and discuss the menu choices. Food was all very good quality at very reasonable prices. There were other offers on in addition to the Early Bird, however, the waitress made sure we got the best prices for our choices. Atmosphere in the restaurant is really good, and, the relatively small footprint makes it more friendly and convivial. To add to the enjoyable evening the house Merlot was superb, again, at a good price.

Food was good, nice and fresh, staff were very polite, very fairly priced. Only downside is I personally don't think the restaurant is as nice as the old one

A cheerful, lively and very busy restaurant with a exceptionally varied early bird menu. Great food, well presented, attentive service.

This is my fourth visit to Aldos and this time I brought my friends from work. We started in Bar Lusso next door as I had a money off coupon. We sampled quite a few cocktails! Then we walked next door to the restaurant, we we met by Aldo who is the best host. We we seated swiftly and drinks orders taken. The menu is classic Italian, pasta, pizza along with gorgeous steaks and chicken dishes. I'm sure the will be veggie options too. I had the breaded chicken with a spicy chorizo sauce and mash. Their mash is to die for!!

Lovely little place, food was good. All the male staff are very friendly and bubbly, however some of the female waitresses need to learn how to smile!

We have eaten here on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. The food is consistently mouth-wateringly delicious and the service is superb. We can recommend most of the dishes!

You simply can’t fault this restaurant, the food is amazing, the service is second to none & all the staff are extremely pleasant, chatty and very helpful. You just know, the minute you walk through the door this is a good restaurant, … word of warning, it can be extremely busy at times, I would certainly advise pre-booking a table.

I come to visit friends locally at least once a year and on previous trips I’ve been taken to the Ital which was run by Aldo and his family so when my pal said where we were going I was immediately excited , I was NOT disappointed.

Come here regular and always have a good time. Food wise you get what you pay for good value food and the service is always excellent. Always busy and always a great atmosphere. The menu is huge and caters for everyone and the drinks are reasonably priced. I would recommend bookings as it’s always busy especially on a weekend!

Came here for a birthday meal and everyone enjoyed the food was lovely was very busy which is always a good sign minimal wait to be seated but no fuss had a drink in the bar service was great no complaints at all

Wow and a bit more wow muscles fab lamb fab all fab service great atmosphere great and bar lusso nice too and the 25% discount on your first round you get from Aldos is well worth the visit

Early bird menu is great value and the choices of starters and mains is exceptional. Lamb had by three of us was brilliant. The pizzas were excellent.

Excellent chips and absolutely delicious pizza. Would recommend to anyone who loves the Italian cuisine.

Visited for the first time this evening and wasn’t disappointed. Staff were friendly and attentive, had early bird menus 2 courses £14.95, excellent size portions and food was hot and tasty. Children’s menu was great value £6.95 for 2 courses and portion size was also good. Restaurant had a good atmosphere and was clean. Good first experience.

As a couple we have been numerous times and everytime has been excellent. Every dish has been a good standard and the prices are excellent. A must go place and booking is advisable.

We have been quite a few times and have never had a bad meal at Aldo's. Whatever your needs are they will do their best to acommodate your wishes. You are best booking a table as they are always very busy no matter what night of the week it is.

Not a pleasant experience. We tried to book a table over the phone were told not necessary just turn up and we will be put on list for next free table. On arriving name was duly added an d told 30 to 40:minutes wait which we agreed to. Got a drink from the bar and found a seat in this very busy establishment. After an hour we still hadn’t been given a table and on enquiry discovered our names had been crossed out with staff saying we had been seated. After apologies we were quickly seated. On ordering two of us were asked if we wanted any extras with our meal but the two steak orders were not we assumed chips were included but later discovered not.Meals arrived in reasonable time . My chicken was dry but with the sauce edible just, the sirloin steaks were thin and quite difficult to cut the other chicken dish was good.

Been twice to this restaurant now and absolutely love it! The food is gorgeous, I’m a very fussy veggie and I’m well catered for! The atmosphere is lovely and the service is friendly and fun!

I so wanted to love Aldos as so many people rave about it and being local I was thrilled to have an Italian on the doorstep. However now after 2 visits I cant help but feel disappointed.

Food was excellent 5 of us went everyone had a different meal. It was a Saturday night, buzzing atmosphere very attentive staff reasonably priced. So good went following week for my daughters birthday. Definately worth a visit.

Aldo's never disappoints, the food is beautiful and delicious, the service is second to none and the early bird extensive menu at £14.95 is an absolute steal. The sirloin steak is absolutely beautiful and more like a fillet cut. This restaurant is a must visit.

Honestly cannot speak highly enough about Aldo's Italian! First of all the food is amazing, I've been 3 times now and it seems to get better with every visit!

Lovely atmosphere, the starter I had was amazing but the pizza I had was quite bland and a couple of us had the same and said the same thing. Service wasn't great, no one asked if we needed more drinks and we had to ask for water 3 times. I would go back because it's good value for money but the waiters / waitresses could be a bit more attentive :) if I could give it an extra half a star I would

I really tried not to fault this place but after my FOURTH visit I can now safely say that I will not be going again.

As always our visit to Aldo’s was amazing. We enjoyed our wedding meal there in September 2017 and last night we enjoyed my birthday party celebrations. As always the food, the service, the passion for the customer, was second to none. We will return again.

I tried to book for 7pm but could only get 6pm. I drove round for 20 minutes trying to park as there is limited parking and the overflow car park is not easy to find. We got seated straight away as the restaurant clearly wants you in and out. Food was mediocre and not particularly cheap. We were asked to vacate our table as soon as they knew we weren't going to order a dessert. So if you want a nice evening out that has good food, is reasonably priced with a nice atmosphere where you don't feel like you are a nuisance, then don't go to Aldo's!

From start to finish was fantastic we all enjoyed our meals & drinks, the atmosphere in this place is what you’d expect from a busy restaurant, Aldo is a great guy & couldn’t please enough along with the fab staff, we’ll be back.. ps try the gin’s there boss.

Recently visited for a friends 40th in May. The staff sung and embarrassed her which made our night. (She hates that stuff) food was good, service quick and staff friendly.

Gnocchi with chicken, mushroom and garlic sauce. Absolutely amazing. My friend got lasagne. My friend got Aldo's mess and it was massive. I got creme brulee and it was beautiful. Good choice of gins to choose from. Absolutely well worth a visit and not overpriced.

Just returned from our first visit to Aldo’s - perfect from start to finish. Warm welcome on arrival and offered option of going straight to our table or a drink first. Opted to go straight to table. Drinks arrived promptly. Our party of 3 had starters of meatballs, halloumi and deep fried mozzarella - all cooked beautifully and generous portions.

It's a long time when four of us have dined out together without negatives.

Enjoyed a really tasty meal in this Italian restaurant who provide a very extensive range of gluten free options. The two course early bird menu is good value for money and judging by how busy the restaurant was many others agreed!

This is the 3rd time I've visited Aldo's but the 1st time I have reviewed it. Each time I visit I am fully satisfied with my experience here. Waiting staff are friendly and welcoming. The early bird menu is extensive and excellent value for money. After a starter I struggled to finish my main course of monkfish despite it being scrumptious.

Went here for my wife's birthday on Thursday. Got seated and were given the early bird menus. Asked for the normal ones, but nothing arrived. So ordered from these... the starters came but were microwaved meals... not what we wanted. The mains arrived and these were okay, nothing special.. no one asked us throughout our meal if it was okay or anything. Paid the bill and once outside, realised we'd been charged for 3 x 2 course meals, when in fact, my Son only had a main meal.

Best Italian I’ve been to in along time. Great food, atmosphere and service. The menu was excellent, plenty of choices and the food was superb. Would recommend booking in advance.

We have tried to eat here on four separate occasions, however have yet to actually manage to get a table on the same night. For this reason I can only assume that the food is excellent and the restaurant is very popular! Every time the telephone response has been rather curt, which is a shame. Despite this, we will keep trying and one day will get the opportunity to actually sample the food.

Our friends visit Aldo’s more often than us because they live in the area. We’ve not been over to see them for a while, but when we arrived at the restaurant Aldo still greeted us as if it was yesterday. He always has time to speak with you, and to make sure everything is ok. Plenty of staff, all having different jobs, always on the ball.

It was very busy and noisy due to the hard surfaces of the room. Had the feeling of ship them in, ship them out, and the service was very efficient. The calzone was burned, the pizza was bland but I could not say the food was bad, just nothing to get enthusiastic about. There are lots of better places to to eat so there would be no reason for me to return. Depends what you like really. Certainly the portions were generous to say the least. That has the effect of putting me off the meal, but for someone else it could be what they like. Each to their own.

This was my first time at Aldo's very disappointing evening, there was 10 of us booked in, we arrived a bit late at 7.10pm so sat straight to table, the food was poor, 3 family ordered Lasagne which they all left, it was hard pasta no meat or sauce, my husband asked waitresses twice for birthday wishes for myself & was told when you order dessert, we asked for dessert menu never arrived, so we got coffees & the bill, as we were drinking our coffees at 9pm Aldo came & asked us to move into the bar with our coffee as he had rebooked our table!! I thought this was disgusting when we had spent £150. Won't be going back again, seems to me they just want to get your money & get you out.

We pass the restaurant regularly and, with an imminent birthday celebration, I booked for 8 people on a Saturday night.

We've been a couple of times and will definitely return. The family-run business comprises friendly staff and has a menu that includes Italian and English meals with a good choice of fish, meat and vegetarian. We each had 2 courses and 2 soft drinks and paid £16 before the tip. The food was hot and delicious. There is ample parking and, just to confirm our high opinion, I've voted for Aldo's in the Best Restaurant in Bradford Awards.

We used to eat at Aldo’s family restaurant The Ital many times in the past prior to his parents retiring and the restaurant eventually closing down.

Booked early for my son's birthday (his choice) in order to ensure a table. This place is popular and booking around the weekends is a must. Service from start to finish was great, as was the ambience, which for a Sunday evening was quite lively. We were on the 'early bird' which offers a varied menu to choose from and fantastic value for money. Kids loved their deep fried Mozzarella, whilst the spicy Baby Meatballs and Bacon & Brie Salad hit the spot. We are all fish fanatics with three of the party going for the Sea Bass whilst I opted for the Tuna. Sublime as always and all accompanied by a great selection of veg. As it was a birthday celebration, we treated ourselves to desserts and these did not disappoint. We will keep coming back as this place always delivers. Give it a go but remember to book if you want to take advantage of the early bird.

Went to Aldo's for lunch last Sunday. There was a fabulous offer on 2 courses for around £13, I had chicken strips to start and a tuna steak for main which was cooked to perfection and to die for. The wine was amazing, i can't remember the name it was a guest wine though.

This was our first visit to Aldo's - nine members of the family for Easter lunch. Between us we sampled a wide variety of dishes and everyone really enjoyed their meals which ranged from the giant calzone to perfectly cooked steak and fish dishes. Service was excellent, friendly and helpful, all the staff were cheerful and the food and drinks were served up quickly. Couldn't fault any aspect of the visit, will definitely visit again.

Although I live in North London, I am originally from Bradford. As a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality I know a bit about restaurant qualities. This place is brilliant. The owner is friendly and passionate about the foo£ and service. I had Prawn Tempura to start and Fillet of a Tuna as a main. Both cooked to perfection. Lovely warm and friendly staff. The restaurant and facilities are immaculate. Also incredible value! Well done Aldo.

First time here and it was just average sorry to say we weren’t that impressed the service was good and the food all looked ok but just lacked a quality feel it all feels a bit cheap and doesn’t feel like an Italian restaurant

Just had a fabulous meal this evening. Turned up at 5pm without booking and it’s wasn’t an issue for the attentive staff. Had the tastiest sirloin steak cooked to perfection followed by a divine chocolate tart. Definitely the place to go for a delicious authentic Italian meal. Very attractive waiters a delightful bonus

Lovely welcome, tasty food, great portion sizes, we had the early bird which is great value for money! Only down side was slow front of house service. Our waiter looking after us spent more time chatting with the table next to us which other staff members even noticed and apologised on their behalf for our long wait ordering food and drinks, dessert menus etc.. Would return and hope for better service.

I came here a few months back for the earlybird and couldn’t fault anything however we visited tonight and it just felt like cheap, poor quality. I know the earlybird is only cheap and appears like a good price but the reason it’s cheap is because this place is just below average. I ordered seabass with “crispy potato’s”, I wasn’t sure what to expect but certainly didn’t expect cut up hash browns. The service was good and staff were friendly but sadly we won’t be returning which is disappointing when we recommended this place to friends, family and even customers.

Came for a friend's birthday. Service was a little slow at times, but the food was excellent, especially the lemon posset.

We went for a family birthday, six people. It’s a lovely relaxed atmosphere & the staff are friendly. A little late sitting down but there was a nice selection of drinks at the bar, no seats there unfortunately. The food was fabulous, I started with a delicious halloumi salad & then had the mezzalune, a stuffed pasta with tomato & cream sauce. Everyone enjoyed their meal & for those who had room for a pudding, they were lovely & huge. Would definitely go again.

Visited on a Friday tea time arrived thinking I had a booking but there had been a mix up but they could not have been more accommodating to fit us in. The food, wine and atmosphere was fantastic and very good value. All the staff were very attentive and Aldo couldn’t apologise enough for the mix up which was between us both and wasn’t just down to them. He was sorry we couldn’t experience it properly as they needed the table back for a certain time so couldn’t stay and enjoy the ambience. It was full by 5.30 which is testament to how popular it is and I can see why! Will definitely be back and excited to have found this little gem of a place!

The best Italian Restaurant I have been to with great ambience and excellent service. everything works like clock work in this place and the food is always outstanding. The owner Aldo is very pleasant along with all the staff that work there. The wine is wonderfully paired with the food and leaves an awesome ever lasting taste in your mouth. No need to look any further for Italian restaurants. Aldo's is the one! If i could rate 10 stars, i really wood.

My friend and I visited Aldos for my friends birthday. We were there for the early Hurd menu. As perviously the service and the food was brilliant. The waiting staff are very friendly and efficient. We both had a chicken dish. The chicken was very moist and tasty. All in all it was a really good meal.

Went to celebrate my 60th Birthday they staff couldnt have been more helpful from the moment we arrive All the food was cooked fresh it was Amazing ever dish .Can't wait to go back worth every penny. The amount of people who was the the restaurant speaks for itself .

Aldo's do the best calzone pizzas!! This is one of my favourite restaurants, with an amazing atmosphere. Fabulous service too.

From first arriving at this Italian restaurant we felt we had been transported to Italy. The ambience, the staff, the decor and of course the food. We (Grandparents, parents and two teenagers) were all very impressed with everything about the place. The staff are so helpful, friendly, happy and excellent at communicating with families, as is always the case when we have visited Italy. We all chose from the early bird menu which is two courses. There was plenty of choice, and the food was deemed by us all as excellent. Brilliant value for money. Will definately be going back there. Thank you Aldo’s for giving us such a lovely evening.

Having lived in Italy and visited many times...this restaurant is more like going to Morrison’s for some microwaved ready meals. Over priced. Self important service. Slow. Over cooked. Rushed. Went once. Won’t again.

We had a table booked at Aldo’s for 12 people for our grandpa’s 94th birthday celebrations. This is our first visit to this restaurant, we used to go to the previous restaurant they ran called Ital. The staff were so welcoming and attentive to all our needs. Our meals were very nice and didn’t disappoint. Looking forward to our next visit. Keep up the good work Aldo and staff. Thank you.

We decided to go to Aldo's for tea this evening (Tuesday) and we were shocked when they were booked up at 5.20pm. The gentlemen who greeted us looked at his bookings and tried his best to squeeze us in which he managed to do. We ordered from the early bird menu which is really extensive and we were spoilt for choice. When the food came it was all really lovely. My husband couldn't rave about the meatballs enough!!! He had a nice pizza then and I enjoyed the Pate and Pollo Pepe. Lovely sauces The service is impressive too which is rare these days with plenty of well trained staff. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and we will definitely return and highly recommend. Thankyou.
