Aldo's Italian in Bradford

Me and my son couldn't decide between the lasagne and a chicken and garlic pizza , I asked for chillies on as well . We mentioned during ordering that we were sharing and they brought the lasagne out in two smaller dishes which was ideal they were both delicious.i also had sticky toffee pudding I asked for it with cream OMG it was to die for .the prices were reasonable . atmosfeer was brilliant two people had birthdays and they were brought cakes out with a firework in and everyone in the restaurant sang to them .I enjoyed my evening .

We booked Aldos a couple of weeks ago for our daughters 18th birthday as we had family & friends who'd been & recommended it. She loves Italian food so she decided there was a good place. From the moment all 17 of us walked through the door we were welcomed with open arms & treated like we were regulars. I had emailed prior & asked if I could come & set the little room up with some decorations unfortunately there was a party booked in before us so I couldn't set it up, but they said if I dropped the decor off they would set it up. I didn't want to take the mic so only sent a couple of bits out of my party box. The room was set up beautiful. The food order was taken very quickly & brought out quickly too. It was just beautiful! Everyone enjoyed their food. The interaction with the staff & our party was 2nd to none. Normally you get is everything OK? & that's it. But not these guys. Over the course of the evening they came in had a chat, a laugh & banter with us! They definitely made the night & we will definitely be back! Thanks again! The Robson's party. 💜

Food amazing, atmosphere amazing, tried here on the off chance if a table and bever regretted it. Been a few times now and every time it's just WOW. Staff fantastic, just a really good place to eat.

My first time here but not my last!! The swordfish I ordered was absolutely amazing , it was very busy and we were here to celebrate my sisters 50th birthday , the staff were lovely and friendly the food all arrived on time and hot for our party of 20 overall a lovely experience , can’t wait to come back !! Lovely restaurant. Delicious food and very friendly and attentive staff. I've been here twice so far, and it didn't fail to satisfy either time. It's quite big and popular, busy both times I was there but it didn't feel noisy, just a background animated bustle.

We had a party of 13 of us to celebrate my Grandsons 18th Birthday .... staff were really friendly & welcoming... the food was delicious, & Aldo is such a funny guy ... highly recommended 👍...

Came here last night for my partner's 50th, on first impressions I was shocked by the attitude of the front desk staff. They ignored me for a couple of minutes then when another member of my party said something, they looked up from what they were doing. I told them my booking details and they just said "your table's not ready yet, go get a drink at the bar" no apology despite us being there at 6pm which is when I booked the table About 15 minutes later we were shown to our table. After looking at the menus etc. a waiter came to take our orders. He was very nice and friendly, made a fuss of our little boy, asked about Craig's birthday as he'd seen the cake. The food came and was delicious, everyone enjoyed their starters and mains. My little boy polished off most of an adult sized pizza as it had been ordered accidentally instead of a child's one. We were talking about not cutting the cake there as we were all full but the waiter was like no mate, I'm giving you the full works, took the cake brought it back out with a big sparkler candle and everyone sang happy birthday. I just want to give a shout out and say thank you to that waiter who made my partner's birthday night feel special and was really welcoming to us all. I would have given 5 stars for service if it hadn't been a bad first impression.

We had an excellent time at one of Aldo's Christmas Party Nights - food & service was great & entertainment was good fun! Will definitely book for Christmas next year & visit food between now & then 😁

Nice food, great atmosphere, and very good service. Was part of a large party so was a little crammed in but the gents service, and attention was great from everyone. Would like to go back as a smaller party as I think it would be even better.

We attended last night 29th as a large group for my granddaughter 13th birthday.we were in the beautiful marquee which was brilliant. The service was excellent and the food was amazing.Thank you Aldo & staff. We will certainly book again regards Mary W

This restaurant was that good that it could knock my other reviews down a star to make room for it. I don't usually eat Italian as I find it boring but this place is a unique experience. I have never been somewhere where the staff were so attentive. Aldo himself too our order and picked my main. I wanted to east all the starters but what I did have was amazing. This place ticks all the boxes. Great service, food and reasonably priced. I will definitely go back.

Celebrating my graduation at Aldo's Italian. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, the food was absolutely stunning, the staff were amazing and so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant has such a lovely atmosphere, that I'd recommend it for anyone wanting a nice meal out. Thank you Aldo's Italian for helping make my graduation meal a fantastic evening.

Spent my birthday here with a mixed range of ages from babies to older adults and everyone in our party came away singing the praises of food staff and the whole atmosphere. Staff where on the ball from start to finish, will be back. 10 out of 10

The food is pretty average, kebabs were rock hard and barely any chicken in the pasta, put me off returning. Also the old Italian waiter just put the plates of food on the table without asking who’s was who’s we had to work out what dish was ours some looked very similar then it turned out we got two of them mixed up.

What can I say about this wonderful place, 😍 we traveled from Dorset to see our wonderful family and friends up Bradford, this place is a goldmine, well worth the money, just wish they had down Dorset

Best calzone I have ever had by far, would definitely recommend a meal there.

Food excellent as always - my only issue is the noise. It is difficult to hold a conversation. Update 2024. Work was carried out a while ago to improve the acoustics. Whilst there is still background noise due the restaurant's popularity, it is within acceptable limits. PS the food is still amazing!

We had a lovely starter and main! The service was great! They waiter and waitress we had really made our evening! So hats off to them. The smells coming out of the kitchen were phenomenal. We were vegan so it was a little difficult but we were told which pasta was vegan and which pizzas can be used with vegan cheese! So it was great to see restaurants catering well to vegans! But the parking! Christ alive. Just forget it.. lol

So pleased that we have discovered Aldo’s! It’s a lively family-friendly restaurant which offers superb value for money. The pizzas are so good. Our 7-year old grandson normally doesn’t eat much but he ate all his pizza and dessert, saying that everything was delicious! The staff were so friendly. A great place to go for family celebrations.

We celebrated my mums 57th birthday at Aldo's last weeks, and the food & service was second go non. Calzone went down a treat with my grandad, didn't rate the lamb kebab & my mum tried beef & mushroom stroganoff (which she says was delicious). My boys had pizza, which was super tasty, they said, chicken strips & chips went down well! My prawn started was lovely & i could resist steak for my main! Its was alttle pricey but well worth it...my steak was actually charcoaled & absolutely delicious 10/10 🥩🍽😍👌

Always good at Aldos. Host is a laugh and sorts all of your needs. Food is top stuff especially the pizzas.

Great food. We had the meatballs to start, really tasty and just big enough for a starter. We had a pizza each for mains, one a prosciutto and one a pollo. Both really nice. The two courses for £18.95 made it really good value, and the service was excellent.

Hi we have been going to Aldos now for 6 years x Always so welcoming and polite , Aldo always makes you feel special along with staff . I've visited this restaurant twice and both times the service and food both excellent. I'm picky with food and found no faults. The owner is always around. Definitely a first choice for celebrating and dining.

Lovely food staff seem to be rush rush so didn't get asked if our food was ok while eating absolutely boiling in there to the point where I wasn't enjoying my meal 🙁

Love Aldo's restaurant; front of house service is exceptional; great value italian food and always has a great vibe. Always a fun and entertaining night with consistent quality of food.

Unfortunately my first visit was not what i was expecting. The food is not “home made” gnocchi were definitely store bought and chicken pikante gnocchi were not all that i had high hopes for this place but unfortunately was disappointed 😓

The food is excellent! Which made up for the slight inattentiveness of the staff, but they can be forgiven for that as it was an extremely busy time. They were friendly and courteous and well presented. If you want somewhere for a quiet meal, though, this is not the place, loud chatter, and music playing. All in all though an excellent place for eating! We shall return!

5 stars all round great service amazing food

The word of mouth is the best form of advertising. We were told about Aldo’s by a friend. My wife booked it last week for my birthday today. When we arrived the welcome was very friendly, a big smile from the young receptionist. Straight away we could feel a warm friendly atmosphere, the restaurant was quite busy but a guy named Teal showed us to our table & asked if we would like drinks while deciding on our food. The table was immaculately clean, the cutlery was spotless, that’s always a plus. The food we decided on was piping hot & amazingly tasty, the after service can’t be faulted. The general feel about the place was warm, relaxed & welcoming. On the way out we were introduced to Mr Aldo, he seemed genuinely pleased to hear this was a first visit by us to the restaurant & he sincerely hoped we would be back soon. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys a relaxing hot meal at a very reasonable price to give Aldo’s at Greengates a visit. You will not be disappointed.

Well what can I say. I was really looking forward to my visit. It was totally spoilt by the over zealous owner who seemed to just want to rush us out of there. Taking our plates while someone was still eating. But said "here you can eat your chips" which were in a separate bowl!! My plate still had lots of food on it but it was taken. Very strange. He seemed angry at us and kept walking past staring and muttering. He was also angry because the place wasn't full. It seemed pretty full to me. We won't be visiting again sadly. Back to our usual Italian where we are also offered limoncello with our bill, and it's cheaper. Plus we're always made very welcome. Ciao.

First time here after some recommendations and wasn't sure what to expect but it was above and beyond my expectations. This place is buzzing with atmosphere, every table was taken with groups of family and friends enjoying themselves. The noise level is not an issue so you can chat to people with no problems. The food is amazing full of flavour and really good portion size. Every staff member were brilliant, very attentive and looked after you all evening and never felt rushed. The owner is brilliant and he took time to talk to us after our meal. Things you need to know. 1. Booking is essential. They do not take online bookings so you have to phone up during the day. 2. There is a small carpark onsite, but if that is full there are nearby carparks you can use and the staff will tell you where they are. If you have not been before, ask them where they are before setting off so you know where to go. The food is amazing and portion sizes are very generous. For the price and the high quality meals you will find it very hard to anything better. No wonder they had a full house on a Saturday night. Really looking forward to going back again very soon now I know you need to book first and where to park.

Haven't been for a few while but won't leave it as long now before returning. Sunday lunch was amazing with plenty of meat, Yorkshire pudding, and vegetables. Really great value 2 courses for £18.95. The deserts were mouth wateringly delicious. The staff were excellent, as was the atmosphere.

What a nice restaurant and the best Italian in the area. We had the corgette fries to start, then lamb shank for main and stuffed past in a tomato sauce. All washed down with a bottle of Chillean Merlot. The service was good and fast. Worth a visit! Been there twice now. Very nice again!

Booked a table what a joke .staff took over 10mins to even acknowledge we were actually stood at reception.

First time at aldo's it was great will go again.

We used to go to the family restaurant down bolton Road and now will certainly go back to aldo's at Greengates lovely food and lovely people.

Had issue with bill, the waiter was very rude and his attitude was appauling, he went as far as saying he didnt want me to go again, well thats not good customer service to me. Wont be going again.

Absolutely love this place, quality food, quality service, quality entertainment, been multiple times. Whether just eating or going to one of the entertainment nights you are always guaranteed excellent food and service. Nearly every mouthful is like an explosion of paradise and joy on the taste buds. Well nice starters but been here since 7.30pm now after 9pm and still no main course. Some food great as usual however one puza burnt under and raw on top and lasagna too much cinnamon. Deserts lovely.

The restaurant was really busy but the staff were great and the food on time and really tasty. Our large group had a variety of dishes and didn't disappoint. I'd recommend this venue and if the main car park is full there's an overflow area further down the road less than a minutes walk

We visited Christmas Eve and had a lovely meal. My son wanted a different filling for the Calzone and they changed it for him. I asked for no prawns with the salmon and my husband's chicken meal had fantastic flavour in the sauce. We will certainly come back as the food was great and service was good.

I attended a large 40th birthday celebration there on Sunday. I know Aldo and his family since the days of Ital and he has no doubt continued with the high standards at his own place. A truly enjoyable experience. Well done to Aldo and all his staff.

I have driven past Aldo’s lots of times and seen how popular it seems to be. Having now been I understand why this is. Having arrived early at 5pm the place was soon buzzing. The staff were really friendly and attentive. The Italian menu offered lots of choice with a set price approach offering good value for money. All four of us really enjoyed our food. Will definitely visit Aldo’s again.

Absolutely fantastic every time we have been. Several family birthdays over the last couple of years have been celebrated here. The steak is the best around and the service and atmosphere is second to none. Highly recommend
