Excellent meal with a varied and interesting menu. Friendly and efficient staff, who were a little pushed to keep on top of the tables being used.
We would definitely go again if departing from Bristol Airport or in the area.
So incredibly impressed with this place! Stunning food, amazing service and just all round incredible! Highly recommend for a bite to eat! Bit on the pricey side but definitely worth it!
I went into bistro No17 with my 5 month old as he was due a feed and in turn I was due a coffee 🤣
I was warmly greeted and made comfortable, nice space for myself and a pram. I ordered a latte and some food, the lady serving me had picked up on my allergies and ensured everything was fitting to my needs. The latte was lovely and the food was delicious!
There is baby changing facilities upstairs and was breastfeeding friendly in the main area ☺️
Would absolutely recommend for food or a drink
So impressed by this tavern run by a lovely couple. Husband manages the kitchen on his own and the wife manages the front office completely on her own. Great kind and swift service. Food was great. We had lovely dips, lamb chops, prawn saganaki, gyros, bean stew, greek sausage and fresh warm baklava was absolutely out of this world.
Nuestra comida tailandesa favorita en York, buena comida, excelente relación calidad-precio y gente amable que dirige el lugar. He probado la mayoría de los platos y realmente no puedes equivocarte : )
I booked an area for 14, for Sunday lunch via Facebook messenger. There was plenty of on street parking and a friendly welcome.
All the preordered meals were served correct, warm, with a selection of vegetables. Every single person raved about their choice and I got to take our leftover beef (very generous portions) for my greyhound Lily..... her eyes are the best review anyone could have!
We are all family based in Monmouth, Cardiff, Blackwood & Abertillery and the location was great for us all.
We had such a nice time. Every dish was full of flavour, perfectly presented and made of the best ingredients.
Better than many 1* Michelin restaurants we’ve been to.
The staff was very kind and professional too.
The onion brioche, crab bisque, lamb loin and chicken mains and chocolate desert all hit the spot!
I was so sad that due to ill health I was unable to visit The Barge and say farewell to Tina and her husband who have been welcoming me (a very fussy vegetarian and I mean fussy) since I had my 60th Birthday party meal with family and friends. A whole six years of putting up with my menu choices and not batting an eyelid but laughing with me and my husband as to what I would choose.
Thank you both for putting up with me it was always a real pleasure to dine with you.
I hope you’ve still got my phone number Tina if you ever fancy a cuppa it would be an honour to meet up Shame though not at the Barge.
Take care in your retirement and enjoy every day as it comes.

Very Disappointing.
They entitle themselves as Latin American Food. I’m Brazilian and this is nothing like latin america. The cod and the steak were both tasteless, the rice which is the only dish that has taste, is very oily, greasy…
The sweet mash is a disaster.
Someone needs to tell them to better study latin american cuisine, especially the drinks, being Brazilian and seeing someone serving Caipirinha with Brown Sugar is a terrible, Caipirinha is made with white sugar!
I was expecting way more when I read the reviews. I don’t recommend.
