Storia Maidenhead in Windsor and Maidenhead

Authentic Italian flavors – simply perfect! I had a Green Salad (baby gem, peas, cucumber, avocado, homemade vinaigrette) for £5.50 and Rigatoni Alla Norma (grilled aubergine, basil, red onion, Bella Lodi cheese, tomato) for £16.50 – and what can I say? Simply perfect! The pasta was cooked exactly al dente, just like you would get in Italy. The sauce was flavorful, well-balanced, and complemented the fresh ingredients beautifully. Every bite was a delight! A huge thank you for this excellent quality and authentic Italian culinary experience! I will definitely be back.

This is the second time I've been here and the food is excellent, staff are attentive and friendly, lovely atmosphere. Reasonably price and great choice on the menu for food and drinks

Food was good but mains took about 45-50 mins to come out and our table was not checked on at all in this time until we asked where our food was. The manager did give us some complimentary cannolis at the end of the meal which was appreciated but it was a disappointing service compared to previous experiences at Storia.

Good Italian with friendly staff and fun atmosphere.

We ate here on Sunday evening to celebrate my birthday. We have eaten there previously in the summer. It was surprisingly busy for a Sunday evening, but we were made very welcome, and sat in a booth, with space for our granddaughter's pram nearby. Service at all times was friendly, and courteous; they apologised for a delay in getting our starters due to a large party ordering at the same time, but it was not a problem to us. We mainly had pasta dishes, which were all really fresh and tasty, I had the chicken Milanese which was enormous, and really fresh and not at all overcooked (considering it was a thin escalope). We all had deserts which were sweet, rich and well presented, and we were offered limoncello to follow. Overall the quality of the food and service was excellent, and we had a lovely evening. Highly recommended.

Food has always been amazing here!

The Sea Bass ceviche and truffle arancini balls were so yummy! The other bits I had were nice but nothing to write home about. The lobster linguine was nice, could have had a little more seasoning, there was a good amount of lobster! Portion size was good too - left very full from a starter and main. The green salad (side) was quite basic - you’ll see it’s mainly lettuce… The waiters were lovely!

We came in on a Monday night and was warmly welcomed by the manager who had recognised us from a previous night. All the staff where really friendly and attentive. they where kind enough to remake one of your dishes after us forgetting to tell them out the allergy. They really went above and beyond. would 100% recommend, the food was lovely and we had a fantastic evening.

Storia is the most amazing place to go. Not only is the food just fantastic, and I do mean every single thing we and friends have tried, but the service is just unreal. We have been on our anniversary and every person in the restaurant wished us well. More recently we came with friends, I have been recovering from a stomach surgery and they were so attentive despite my tiny appetite. They even boxed up my favourite dessert to go which I just cannot thank them enough for. You will not have a bad evening.

Amazing food, attentive staff...what more can you ask for? Definitely worth a visit! You will not be disappointed!

This is a nice Italian restaurant with good food and lovely staff. We were very warmly received at the door. We then had Suzanne serving our party of eight for my mum's birthday and she was superb: very attentive and friendly. The food was good with a good range of options. However, I wasn't blown away by the flavours. My mushroom pizza felt quite bland, although the textures were all good, so I added some chilli oil to improve the mix. However, they caught on that it was my mum's birthday and sang happy birthday to her when they brought her pudding out with a candle in. Very sweet addition. The edamame beans with parmesan taster was unusual and very nice.

I love this restaurant, food and service are. excellent, however on this occasion my steak could have been hotter!

Excellent service even with a party of 13! Very relaxing. We didn't feel rushed, just made to feel welcome. The food was delicious and came at a reasonable time which was appreciated as we had hungry children in the party. Reasonably priced too.

A late review that was on edit mode🙈 As a self-proclaimed foodie, I've been eagerly anticipating my visit to Storia, an authentic Italian restaurant located in Maidenhead. Having followed their Instagram account for some time, I was excited to finally try their some of their dishes. Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately struck by the cozy ambiance and welcoming atmosphere. Soft lighting, rustic decor was the perfect mood for a group of mummy’s on their night away from the babies. The menu at Storia is a true reflection of their commitment to authentic Italian cuisine. With a focus on fresh, homemade dishes, every bite is a burst of flavor. I was thoroughly impressed by the attention to detail and care put into each plate. Overall, my experience at Storia was nothing short of exceptional. The food, atmosphere, and service were all top-notch and I can't wait to return to try out more dishes. If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine in a cozy setting, be sure to pay Storia a visit - I promise you won't be disappointed!

Amazing customer service. Although the garlic bread was salty and the crab/prawn toglioni was a bit dry, the food tasted ok.

We enjoyed a gorgeous family meal here for our mum's birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The food was delicious and very tasty. The decor and atmosphere was spot on and the service was 10/10. The best Italian we have been to (outside of Italy!) We would return for another delicious meal!

It is a wonderful establishment. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted. We have already begun forming a wonderful friendship with the establishment. Locals eat here, and that is a huge plus. The food was terrific, and the hospitality was among the highest available. We came here for an anniversary meal and will definitely be back. A combination of five-star service, great food, and lasting impressions of our first visit.

I spoke to the manager last night to tell him this is one of our favourite restaurants in Maidenhead, mainly due to the team working there who are all friendly and welcoming and appear as a happy bunch. Also seeing the same faces means it must be a decent place to work! The menu is fairly simple but there is enough choice and each dish is tasty and consistent when we go. The food pace is spread out appropriately and not too quick or too long, which makes for a relaxing and enjoyable meal. The ambience is always comfortable, it is often busy and buzzy which we enjoy. The prices are fair and good value. Well done Storia Maidenhead … we will continue to return.

I was really impressed with the food, delicious and beautifully presented. Our server was the lovely Zuzana. She was cheerful, passionate about the food, and clearly happy to be there, great service with a smile from Zuzana and her equally attentive colleague from Hong Kong. We've had grilled seabass and Marsala chicken, yummy!

Always go back here for the truffle dishes; arranchini balls, mushroom risotto and the lemon posset for dessert! This is a regular spot for me and never disappoints.

Had a delightful meal Saturday 14th to celebrate my mum's 84th birthday. The staff were so friendly, warm and attentive from the moment we arrived to the time we left. The food was all delicious from starters through to desserts their wasn't a dish that failed to deliver. Restaurant has a good atmosphere as well. Thank you for making my mum and my family so welcome and for a lovely meal.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome. Pleasant table facing the garden. Tried the Aubergine and Boretta starters, both tasty and nicely presented. Both had fresh pasta, mine with beef agu (a little dry) , my wife's was prawn and crab with a hint of chilli - really delicious. Had a litre bottle of sparkling water and a large glass of Savignon Blanc. Total bill was £72 with tip optional. Recommended

Lovely restaurant, we visited on a busy Saturday evening without a booking and they had a table available for us. The staff were friendly and happy to help with any questions we had about the menu. The food was delicious and the wine was even better. I can't believe we've not been here before, we will definitely come again!

Exemplary service from Italian Zuzana and Ukranian Vitoriya at Storia Maidenhead serving Ukranian Andriy's extraordinary food. I went to acknowledge and thank them. I had the same and similar fish at other restaurants across the country during that week. None even came close to Zuzana, Vitoriya and Andriy's service and food preparation. I considered sending them flowers, though this lasts longer. I even rang for the recipe when I got home.

This is a really lovely Italian restaurant. You get a warm welcome upon entering and that's thanks to the fantastic wait staff. The food itself was delicious, having tried a few of the other dishes. Every one was a hit. I would highly recommend coming here for a warm Italian experience!

Nothing ever too much to ask. Arrived just before closing without reservation and they happily seated us, recommended us some dishes and a few lemoncillos! Had a great time! Dined in a lot at this restaurant and never let down.

My husband and I visited the restaurant this evening for our anniversary and were amazed not only by the food but the amazing customer service. From when we firsf entered the restaurant until we left, we were treated with total respect and kindness. I can honestly sa, I have not been to an Italian restaurant where the food was spectacular and every bite was full of flavour. The staff are so lovely and polite they went above and beyond for us this evening and made our anniversary so, so special. The nexr time we are in maidenhead we will visit again. This is one of the best restaurants I have eaten in.. I would like to thank all the staff for an amazing evening..

Nice atmosphere with good attentive service. Menu features many different choices and options. Great to have the option to sit outdoors or indoors. Starters were very good but the main was nothing special and a bit average considering the price.

Absolutely fantastic visit to Astoria Maidenhead. The food (Garlic& Cheese flatbread. Beef Ragu pasta & mushroom /nduija sausage pasta ) were fresh, very tasty & served piping hot. All staff are lovely & welcoming & make your visit memorable. We only visit the area once a year, but always book Storia.

The service was off the scale excellent last from the moment I walked in and was welcomed by name. I was also pleased to see Zuzanna was there as I knew the service would be top quality, fun and interactive whenever she approached our table. In this competitive, fast paced, profit driven world, it is lovely to be able to enjoy a relaxing, top quality meal with friends without being rushed. I even got to try Frangelico for the first time, which was a delicious experience. Thank you to everyone involved for making it such a fantastic night out. We will return!

I love how welcome the staff made us feel. Right from entering to leaving we felt like we were welcomed like old friends. They were super attentive, and drinks, nibbled and meals all served in good time (ie not so fast we felt we’re being rushed, but not so slowly that we were left wondering what was happening). The food itself was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Thank you!

One word: incredible. The staff were the friendliest most accommodating staff I think I’ve ever met. The food was exceptional, both my partner and I had the beef ragu (mine was gluten free) and what a treat! Finished off with the lightest most incredible Tiramisu and limoncello. Cannot rate this place enough and would recommend to all! Thank you to the team for looking after us and being fab.

A lovely place in a little town full of choices. Storia never disappoints. The arancini is amazing, as is everything else. Hasham, Lacey and Bartek were magnificent in the service provided..very attentive!

We got a late booking (party of three women) and were made really welcome. The service was attentive without being over-the-top and the staff were happy to offer recommendations from a menu they clearly knew well. The food was lovely - fresh, tasty and delicate. Salmon was perfectly seared without being over-cooked. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food, atmosphere and welcome. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Definitely worth heading here during Regatta week at Henley - far better than being crammed into an over-priced Henley restaurant where they want to get you fed and out as soon as possible. A huge thank you to all the staff.

Thank you so much to Lorenzo and the team, we walked in without a booking and we they accommodated us. 6 of us for dinner, we all ordered different meals and one had to be modified which was not an issue... Standard response all evening "yes no worries!" Fabulous food, amazing Tiramisu, lovely drinks super atmosphere and very friendly staff. This meal was special for our family as I live in Poland and we met family here as a meeting point and it will be an evening we will not forget. Thank you once again and I know when we will be back Storia will be a favourite place to meet up.

Is not normal be changer for chilli, first time. The food was good, but don't ask for spicy. Is not for the value. it is the action. Seriously, charge for chilli powder???

Storia is a lovely restaurant, great for alfresco dining (when the Bellway crane disappears). The staff were friendly and attentive but I felt that the food was pretty average. We tried the seafood and saffron risotto, which was mainly salmon and with a very small amount of prawns and squid, and the Salsiccia pizza, which was of a good quality but didn’t have much flavour. I would come again for the atmosphere, but not especially for the food. The complimentary limoncello was a great touch though!

Entering as a walk in, the venue was very accommodating and were able to find a table for two very quickly. We were provided with drinks also very quickly which was very good service. The service was the highlight of this visit. The low rating is due to the food. We ordered a seafood vongole and a seafood risotto with a side of truffle fries and tenderstem broccoli. The brocoli and the fries were lovely but we were both deeply disappointed with our main dishes. Both were bland, lacked seasoning, and neither tasted of seafood. We found ourselves prioritising the brocoli and fries which was noted by the attentive staff. How a plate of clams and pasta can taste of nothing was beyond my imagination for such a highly rated restaurant.

The waitress (from Slovakia and named Susana) served us very well, with great kindness and good humor, always attentive to whatever we might need. The food was exquisite (really good) and the atmosphere (decoration and lighting) sober and comfortable. I really recommend this place.

Visited on Saturday night 3rd of Feb. Horrible Service, the guy behind the bar with short gray hair very rude and unpolite! Did not even greet us, same with the waiter. Average food. Will not come back.
