Starter was lovely, unfortunately my pizza for the main was very tough and I struggled to cut through/eat it. They also forgot to put one of the toppings on, no one came to ask how it was and as it was busy I couldn't get their attention to ask for it to be added. Pretty expensive too which I wouldn't have minded if the main quality was the same standard as the starter.

Superb atmosphere with such exceptional service. The team are so friendly. We visited Christmas Eve & were made to feel incredibly welcome. The food was authentic & special. Thank you for a cracking evening on our first visit!

Lovely atmosphere, very authentic, friendly staff and great vibe. It was a very busy Saturday night and we loved it. Clearly many are returning customers although this was our first visit.

Wow, where to begin with this bizarre experience. We were really looking forward to visiting this popular restaurant for the first time. On arrival, the staff were friendly and the owner / front of house gave us a proper warm welcome. The food & service is where this place went downhill. Service was beyond slow, the staff / owners were running about like headless chickens. The owner seems to want to do everything himself. I seen the chef serving from kitchen too. The place was busy and we were genuinely happy to put up with the carnage that we were watching. Our two boys ordered lasagne and garlic bread. The garlic bread came out about 40 minutes from the main and was completely covered in chopped garlic. That should have been the warning we needed! My wife had Bruschetta and it was covered in a large amount of raw onion. My starter was decent, no complaints at all. Mains eventually came out. My wife’s steak main was good, the two boys lasagne was also good. My seafood risotto arrived and it was quite possibly the most garlicky dish I have eaten. My nostrils felt like they were on fire. It was inedible and covered in a large volume of chunks of chopped garlic. It was almost a pure raw garlic flavour with zero seasoning or depth of flavour. Now, I jokingly said to the wife I should tell them they must have vampires about here. I mentioned to the young lady about the feedback on the dish. I was polite with the way I said to her, I genuinely was. The owner came over and I said to him about how much garlic was in my dish. He then pulled out the head chef and they did not take the customer feedback well at all. The chef was purple in the face and the stressed owner was really aggressive and was saying to me that I had gave feedback 3 times and to his daughter. It was really personal for them and I was almost ready to defend my self physically. I was beyond shocked. Diners were all looking, I couldn’t believe this reaction. The owner said to me he was having a stressful evening, it was absolutely beyond stress. He then said he’d take my dish off the bill. I wasn’t wanting a fuss but he created a massive fuss. I just wanted them to know it was inedible. The bill then landed, there was a drink that never arrived for my son on there and also the fateful garlic risotto still on there. The owners wife manually took these items from the bill. They also didn’t accept Amex, no dramas but want to make people aware of this. I have never in my dining life seen such offence taken by friendly feedback. Proper full aggression from the owner. Granted, this restaurant was at bursting point though it should never be at the compromise of its food, service or friendliness. Please do not order the seafood risotto and if you have a bad meal, please do not mention to the aggressive owner. We were a family of two adults and two young boys ages 10 & 6. Shocking and appalled at this guy’s aggressive and threatening behaviour. We will never return and urge other families and experienced diners to be wary. Disgusting owner.

We made a last minute decision to eat out rather than at the hotel we were staying at. La Sorrentina were able to accommodate us at short notice. I have visited twice in two groups of four. The food is good but not fantastic. Well at least the pasta dishes my groups have ordered have been good but I’ve heard the pizza is supposed to be better. It was rated 4.6 so I was expecting way better. The atmosphere was awful as it was extremely loud with a group of men in the middle and it was difficult to talk to my table. Staff are nice.

We visited this restaurant for an Italian dinner. Portions were big and food was tasty. However, prices are at London level so high (we were expecting to be cheaper as we came from London). Service was very good, stuff friendly and nice atmosphere.

We came here for my mums birthday and from the outset all of the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The restaurant itself is an intimate venue with probably no more than 10-15 tables, which by 7pm was absolutely buzzing! really lively for a midweek night. Our food was served promptly and was very good indeed, I had the calves liver special which I highly recommend, really soft and juicy. The rest of the table had a variety of pasta and pizza dishes and there were no complaints at all from anyone, with lots of clean plates!. Bit annoying there are no draught beers, but they do peroni in bottles and for the area, the single glasses of wine are not as expensive as some places. My mum was made to feel special here, which was the main thing, and as a family we had a lovely time- and the people that run and work in this restaurant were a huge part of that! We will definitely come back here and bring our friends.

We have visited this restaurant a few times in recent years and again tonight for my Wife’s birthday and I have to say it was fantastic yet again! The staff are brilliant, very friendly and do an amazing job and the food is always lovely. I cannot recommend enough. Thank you.

La Sorrentina is a charming little Italian restaurant tucked away in Sunninghill, not quite Ascot itself. Despite its size, it offers a delightful dining experience. Fantastic experience! My son -who only orders Bolognese in Italian restaurants- said that this was the best so far. I was possibly too hungry and finished my lasagne too soon, I felt that I had to order a pizza too😅 The pizza base was thin and the crust was very yummy. The whole family was very satisfied. Highly recommended!

Great atmosphere, friendly owners. Food was good but prices of drinks especially were excessive, £5.50 for a tiny beer, £7.50 for a bottle of water, £4 for a jug of tap water. I don’t think charging for tap water is acceptable.

When trying to order the kids food first while we read the menu was told by the waitress abruptly that we need to order all the food together as the kitchen is busy. It started the meal with a bad tone.

The most amazing atmosphere on entering this beautiful restaurant full of history. Walls decorated with celebrities photos that make you say wow. Surrounded by excellent staff the service was 100% perfect. You made our night exciting. The food is just delightful and delicious until the last bite. Well done we will be back ..Miss Jamaica

I can’t believe we haven’t been before. Our other plans fell through so we decided to give La Sorrentina a try and we are so pleased we did. We shared the melon and prosciutto starter. For mains I had the veal saltinbocca, which was done to perfection and my wife had the spaghetti gambaroni (sp?) - prawns, garlic, chilli. They have a desert trolly of freshly baked options. We both went for the lemon cheesecake. The staff were very welcoming and didn’t push us at all, even though they were packed and had people waiting for a table. Limoncello was a nice touch too. Small and intimate place, we will definitely return, even if just to try a simple pizza.

I’ve just popped in and can only recommend the place. Fantastic fresh made pizza. Next time I’ll try the fish. Thanks guys

Booked for 10 people, made thoroughly welcome with great food for all of us including a dairy free option, which went down a treat. The food was presented well and the staff were fantastic and helpful and looked after us brilliantly.

First time visiting, and I will definitely be going back. Attentive but not pushy service, just friendly, old-fashioned hospitality. They obviously care a great deal about the food they produce and do so at a very reasonable price.

It’s all about the atmosphere, the team are lovely and other guests enjoying themselves makes it a great night out. Food is ok, it’s not amazing but ok for a casual night out.

The food was burnt and dry. All the tables were really close together and extremely small. It was a very busy evening with every table full, and the voices were so loud talking against each other you couldn't have a nice conversation. The waiters were rushing around, obviously under staffed. Sad we were so looking forward to a meal with our son and his partner. It was embarrassing for them!

The staff here are so friendly. I was taken by surprise when I was greeted with kisses! The food is excellent. Delicious flavours and great portion sizes. Served at a good speed. There is a buzz to the place (it was a Friday night) which is great but it was so loud that we struggled to have a conversation.

I'm not sure whether it was what I ordered but my meal wasn't as nice as expected. I had the tagliatelle salmone and it was unfortunately tasteless, when I have to add a lot of salt and pepper to a meal its disappointing. The tiramisu was lovely though! So I will be coming again as the service was fab and the people are lovely!

I booked a table here for after Ascot Races yesterday. It's a short raxi ride from the racecourse, probably doesn't look like much from a drive by but wow!! When inside, the food, service and everything was simply brilliant. We were starving, got served promptly with attentive staff. Food was delicious and we had a fantastic evening. When we came to leave we couldn't get an Uber and they even sorted us a taxi quickly for us, checked when it would arrive and saw us into the cab. We will be returning next year when we go to the races again.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. We pre booked during Royal Ascot and so glad we did. The food was excellent and the service was terrific despite it being so busy. It is obviously very popular with locals too as the owner seemed to know most people. Top notch

Always great food. Service slower than normal as retaurant full (always is). Good atmosphere. Only thing that would make experience better would be a complimentary shot at end of meal. Not essential but would be a real winner.

To give you an idea how popular this restaurant is, a Tuesday night booking for 19:00 got us the very last table recently. Adriano, the chef and his wife Ella, who is front of house, are the owners and very welcoming hosts. It’s more like a local club here as we always meet one or two other familiar diners and the hosts seem to know all the diners. Service is spot on but not intrusive whilst the atmosphere is, as mentioned, more like a club. The food here is very very good and so much so that we usually eat here two or three times a month. The specials are always very good and I had crab ravioli this evening for which I give it 10/10. Had it a few times now and also the black truffle version is to die for. Over the years we’ve probably eaten just about everything on the menu, with each dish we’ve tried being very tasty. Extremely good wine selection, red or white. It’s advisable to book in advance and during Royal Ascot week, it’s booked up a few months ahead of the event.

Simply wonderful birthday dinner. Was so full we weren't going to have a dessert but that was before Adriano realised it was my birthday. The whole staff came and sang happy birthday, oresented me with a portion of tiramasu, lit with a candle and if that wasn't enough,the birthday girl (ha a girl at 76!l was treated toa delicious lermoncello. What a delightful dinner for 8. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was very warm and hospitable. Adriano, the chef and owner is talented and lots of fun. He helped make the evening very memorable and had us all singing to his soundtrack of the evening. Such fun!

Ben hier ooit al eens in 2018 Geweest met een maatje van mij uit engeland. En tevens hier dit weekend weer naartoe gegaan. Klein maar erg gezellig en de eigenaar spreekt tevens een woordje nederlands. Rustige omgeving en iets verderop over de brug kan je 2uur gratis parkeren. Het eten is erg lekker en de bediening schort ook het nodige niet. Basicaly echt een aanrader als je trek hebt en in de buurt bent. De eigenaar zou het erg leuk vinden om meer nederlanders te zien. Deze schijnt een aantal jaren chefkok te zijn geweest in nederland voordat deze zijn eigen zaak hier in Sunninghill begon.

We came to this restaurant 15 years ago and it was lovley. We never went back . So decided to try it again. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We will definitely go back !!! And it won't be another 15 years !! We both had pasta dishes and they were lovely and fresh and perfectly cooked. Good value for money. We will try the pizzas next time 😊😊❤

I booked this restaurant based on the reviews on Trip Advisor and we weren’t disappointed. The owner was welcoming and friendly, he asked where we were visiting from, chatted football with my husband and other customers that were clearly regulars, gave my hubby extra blue cheese on his calzone pizza, and after we’d eaten our main course, he brought out a dish of icecream with a candle and the whole kitchen team came out and sang happy birthday to her. One suitably embarrassed but happy birthday girl. If we lived locally, I’d say we would definitely be back.

The restaurant was busy but we were able to reserve a table for 3 and it was a nice atmosphere inside the cosy, Italian film themed interior. The starters were fine and tasty but the main courses were a tad disappointing to be honest. The pizza was nice but nothing special and the base wasn't as crispy as it could have bene with a bit more cooking time. The pasta my son had was unfortunately quite bland and was not very hot either, but he ate it without asking for it to be heated up a bit more. The ravioli special was again OK but wasn't a large portion so my wife was left feeling hungry at the end of it, and it comes with no vegetables at all, so just a plate of ravioli and sauce. We'd go back but wouldn't choose the same dishes again to be honest, as they were underwhelming.

I have lived in this area for years and have never visited . Why ? What a lovely friendly family restaurant , great food , attentive staff . We will be back soon
