Zizzi - Windsor in Windsor and Maidenhead

We are from the states and have been here for 2 weeks on our 30 year anniversary trip thru London and France. Our meal tonight was by far the best meal we’ve had the whole trip!! Highly recommend!!!

Me and my girlfriend heard alot of good things about this restaurant so we decided today was the day and it was amazing, the food was great and the service was fantastic. Our server was Sam and he looked after us very well. He was pleasent and helpful, we couldn't decide what to have as everything on the menu looked great, he recommened the Meat Sofia pizza and pillo picante. he was very patient also has a great sense of humor. Thank you sam for our experience and will 100% be coming back and recommending to friends and family

Pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff. I was greeted at the door by Sam and got the window seat I wanted. Food arrived promptly and was really well presented. The king prawns cooked and hung on the skewer was a nice touch. I had the fondant chocolate desert with was a delight. All in all it was a great value for money, I will be back again Thanks

The food is very tasty and the service is excellent.

Recently dined at Zizzi with a large group of friends. They seated us at the basement, it had a lovely ambience with historical features. We were looked after by Conrad, extremely lovely person. His service was commendable, equal recognition should also be given to the food. Being a vegan they even made subtle change to some of their signature dishes to make it vegan. I had the meatless meat gluten free pizza, it was exceptional. Really enjoyed the evening. I will certainly be recommending this place to friends

Great selection of food. Good location We’re able to use our zillionaires freeby and order a Wild Garlic & Pesto Bombe. Were served quickly. I had the Harissa Lamb Rustica and my wife had the Rustica Sticky Pig. Both were great and left with full bellies

The excellent manager accommodated 2 additional guests and moved tables so we could all be together even though they were really busy. Gorgeous smiley excellent staff

We like Zizzi very much, excellent pizza from the oven, nice service. Just the price...everything has gone up so much everywhere. We paid 55 pounds for the main meal, 1 dessert and 1 coffee plus 2 soft drinks, about 1500kc.

We called in to be seated straight away without any issues. Ordered drinks and food and arrived Worthing a timely manner. Staff were polite and food was excellent hot and very tasty.

Visited Zizi’s in Windsor (August 2024). Service was really slow, despite the restaurant being very quiet. The waiting staff were all making jokes amongst themselves, which made for a clique environment. The food was average.

The pizza here is amazing! Definitely one of the best I’ve ever had! Staff here was also very quick and friendly. This is definitely a place to add to your itinerary if your passing through:)

The food was amazing and fresh but the service Nadja.S gave was exceptional and she was welcoming and accommodating. I definitely recommend Zizzi for an evening meal in Windsor.

Nadja is absolutely amazing, full of character and burst of energy. She took her time to help us with our order. She was patient and kind and I absolutely appreciated all her suggestions. She took note of my chronic condition and advised on what to get and what to avoid. A absolutely gem of a staff and I will be coming back since this is probably the warmest service I’ve received in a long while. Thanks so much Nadja. Incredible evening!

Delicious food and lovely staff

Mohammed served us this evening and he was fantastic with both my young children - went above and beyond to help us and was so friendly and kind to both of them. Thank you! 🌟

Ordered meals for a family of 4, only 3 came out. Drinks order was incomplete, our server was not great at all. When asked for the other drinks and food he showed us his tablet and said he didn’t capture it. Spoiled an evening out in Windsor for the family. Will not eat here again. Would sooner give my money to someone local rather than a chain, lesson learnt!

We always go to our local Zizzi which is in Windsor. It's a great location opposite the Castle. The food and staff are lovely particular Konrad. It was quite busy yesterday Saturday but Konrad always has a smile and check that we are enjoying the food and see if we needed anything else a few times during our visit. We always have the Rustica Pizzas. They are great choice to choose from including Veggies options. For the starter it always the Caramelised onions garlic bread and Fonduta Formaggi are both delicious and are our favourites. We also share our starters as the Ruscica Pizzas are quite bigger then normal round classic sizes. The Pizzas came in lovley and warm, freshly cooked from a Pizza oven. My favourite is the Picante it's spicy which I Iove!, my husband usually has the Primavera and my children go to is Meat Sofia & Chicken & fiery roquito. Both of my kids always asked to take the Spicy roquito out and although it says harrisa chicken it is not too spicy and my kids happily eats the harrisa chicken!. So don't get putted off by the description. Always booked so you don't get too dissapointed. Bonne Apétit!

Wonderful meal and good service.

Excellent as usual. My favourite traditional Pizza restaurant. Just maintain the quality. I tried almost most of the ones that come in my way on every trip or location I go. Southampton West Quay quality is really going down the hill in the past 3 months. Pizza is not consistent (size, topping, thickness, burned most time)

The food was very tasty, service at first was quite quick and then very slow which was frustrating. It also felt it needed a bit of a clean, filthy under tables and ladies toilets needed addressing.

Walked for a table of 2 at 1740, but was told unable to be seated as we hadn't booked and there was no room. Went next door to the weatherspoons for a drink, and while we was there booked a table at zizzi. (1745 was avaliable, but booked at 1815). Pity they could seat us straight away. Food was good, and filling. Would have scored higher if hadn't been turned away. We weren't the only customers to be turned away either. (approx 20, maybe more, while we were sat there)

Louise and her team could not have been more helpful. Meeting our dietary needs and accommodating our disabled party. Oh yes ... the food was fantastic! Would definitely go back and highly recommend it to anyone planning trip to Windsor. Thank you!

Excellent food and despite not being too busy a great atmosphere created by the staff.

Although our food was ok, the restaurant looked decidedly grubby. The table felt sticky and the ladies toilets were in need of a good clean. Service wasn’t particularly good either. There are lots of restaurants to chose from in Windsor so Zizi’s really do need to improve in all respects. We won’t be returning.

My sister and I called in to Zizzi in Windsor and the food was excellent and the cocktails were pretty good as well staff could not be more helpful

The place is nice and not too crowded. Attracted by the word "Italian" we enter but already from the starter of arancini (which we don't understand what they actually are) suspicion should have struck us. We order a pizza and here the perfect crime is committed: the death of Italian Pizza! A sort of flattened farinata arrives with a mix of ingredients that I still dream about in my worst nightmares. I would have liked, as in Zalone's film, to ask for a ladder and a screwdriver together with the bill and to dismantle the "Italian" sign! 😂

Absolutely amazing experience at windsor!

first of all they are cashless? but they do not state this anywhere, except on a tiny sign that you have to squint to read, second of all the front of house stands and watches you eat to the point you feel like it’s a staring contest! the same front of house made a racist remark to a family and told them they couldn’t eat here because it’s booking only, yet sat a family of the same amount with no booking 5 minutes later?? this was awful to listen to.

very unprofessional. I ordered food, starters. they came without a plate to eat, without forks and knives. we had to ask for every detail .. and the waiter (a lady) who served us was not in the mood, with a very unprofessional attitude. (in short, you have to run after the waiter if you need something. the food was ok.

Food is quite tasty and they have so many options on the menu, including many vegetarian and vegan dishes! Service is fast and staff are so nice. They always give you a free bowl of pasta chips and water. They now have a better rewards system and so far I've already got a few appetizers. Will come back for sure!

Being seated right next door to the disabled toilet with just the door between us and the toilet and having to ask again as to what had happened to our desert order made this quite an unpleasant experience.

The food was tasty. Drinks were good, lovely mocktails. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I won't go back though I enjoyed the food due to a new food allergy policy especially if you are gluten free and dairy free or have multiple allergies or intolerances.

Very small place and tables were close together felt a bit costraphobic really. The Calamari was chewy and the pasta I had was over cooked. The only thing that was nice was the cheesecake. Will not be returning.

Came for an evening meal in a big group for a birthday and had such an amazing time. The food was absolutely delicious- we had a range of pizzas and pastas and let’s just say there were no empty plates by the end! Pizzas are massive- perfect for sharing! And pastas were delicious too, the option for fresh pasta is a lovely choice. Our waitress Kasia made the birthday extra special and was very attentive all evening. She is truly a credit to your team!

We had a great experience at Zizzi Windsor on Sunday. Going out for food as a family is rare and complicated and actually pretty difficult to find anywhere with suitable food for a 5 year old with coeliac disease. The staff here were great, great understanding of coeliac disease and understood cross contamination risks with regards to their friers, had the gluten free meals clearly labelled, had plenty of gluten free choice. Aside of that, our meals were lovely and the Primitivo was beautiful. It was like a breath of fresh air. I left feeling thoroughly fulfilled and had such a great experience that it 100% warranted a great review. An honest thank you Zizzi Windsor, you'd be surprised how much that meant.

Visited for a family meal. 4 of us for an early dinner. Food good but the service was incredibly slow. People at the table next to us waited over an hour for desserts. We waited too long for kids ice cream! Took 40 mins between starters and main. No care from staff with most priority going to takeaway drivers in and out of the restaurant. Clearly those customers not actually visiting are given priority. Also the drivers looked intimidating in their helmets. We were also sat by the door. Terrible draught every time the door opened. Looked a little run down and dirty inside. With both Prezzo and Pizza Express a few doors down we will not be visiting zizzi again.

The pizza was tasteless and so were the calamari. Disappointed. We went a year ago and was much better.

Service was good, food good but expensive. Atmosphere was cold.

Altogether and all round great lunch experience. A friendly welcome by Konrad who looked after us. Excellent pizza, Pepperoni Campagna for me, lovely base, the best I have eaten in a while. My husband's main course, Chicken Calabrese, was plentiful and he commented at how good the chicken was. Thank you to all today. We will return.

Came here with hubby for a late lunch and we had a fantastic experience! Great service and delicious food. The piccante and meat Sofia went day treat! Wine and beer was lovely! All round great experience!

My family and I were served by the lovely Mohammed. We each had a variety of food, all of which was incredibly tasty!! Very much recommend.

Food was cold and dry.Chips soaked in oil.Ordered Rustica pizza and received disqusting looking peperoni pizza instead.Sorry but I'm really dissapointed.

We've been to Zizzi's many times and this branch more than once.... A beautiful building and the food and service were of the standard we've come to expect....

We stopped by after visiting Windsor castle and share a pasta - skewer and cheesecake. I wish I could remember what we ordered as it was amazing - it was one of their most popular pastas.

We went in for desserts. Server had no idea what vegan meant but luckily menu had clearly marked vegan options. Fudge cake didnt have crisp honeycake but was amazing.

Ordered delivery which was very quick which is the best thing I can say about it. The festive 5 cheese shitaki didn't seem to have even one cheese exceptionally bland the spaghetti bolognese was over peppered and my partner couldn't eat it the nicest thing was the brushetta but half of it was burnt very disappointing

First of all, the food was lovely and served quickly. The issue I had was the passive aggression from the waiter. We had a big table booked, but unfortunately only half of the group arrived. While I understand the frustration and the potential loss of customers, the waiter told us to ring and update them in future. When I explained that we didn’t know until we got there, he didn’t listen and continued to tell us to update in advance. Needless to say, we won’t be visiting this branch again. In future I’ll be sure to check my crystal ball so that I can update the restaurant.

Zizzi never disappoints. We had the pizza rustica and it was so good! Wide options, good price quality offer. Staff were very friendly and respectful. Will be going back!

They were busy, but they found us a table. The food was good, but there only seemed to be 1 person taking orders and delivering food although there were other staff, not sure what they were doing.

Would give 0 if I could! I had booked a table for 6 people. We arrive and the restaurant is busy. There is a family in front of us.. waiting to be seated. We wait about 5 mins finally a man comes to see them. They say they are 30mins early. He seats them. I then say we have a booking for a table he huffs and complains that he doesn't have any tables. Then sends us to sit at a high table. The leg fell off the table as he moved it to make it bigger for us..he didn't fix it. We were not given menus nor did we get asked what we would like to drink. After 10mins we left. The family who had arrived just before us had drinks???? Rude rude rude. We were ignored. In good news. We went to honest burgers just up the road. It was amazing! So if you are thinking of going to Zizzis don't! Go to to honest burgers instead!

Went there on a weekday half past 6. After waiting 10mins at the door. Was seen by a so called manager who said there is no table free for 2 people until after 8. When clearly there was around 4 tables free in plain sight. Showed no emotion and just expected us to walk away. Same was the treatment for a family behind me who came to have their dinner. Having to find elsewhere. AVOID. Go somewhere where you will be treated as a human and not a lamb ready for slaughter.

We travelled from Reading to Windsor, to see the pizza maker Mario. He is excellent and does the best pizza! We hope you open again in Reading.

Can't fault. Only thing I would add is it was a Wednesday, so the Castle is closed.. so nice and quiet 🤫 yum yum 😋

A big thank you to the staff at Zizzi Windsor for looking after us last night when they were super busy. We had a 7.30pm booking where the table we were offered (in the basement room) really wasnt for us due to steep steps (we had an older relative with us). So, after a few minutes wait the staff were able to rejig a couple of table and give us a nice window table. The usual amazing food too. We've been coming here for years when we visit the area and we will continue to do so. Thank you all.

Excellent pizza bases cooked in a proper pizza oven Rustica pizza was perfect Classic margarita with goats cheese was amazing all the ingredients had heaps of taste . Bruschetta is a must

My food was disappointing, I ordered king prawn linguine, the menu said it was served with courgette, I only found two tiny slivers, the sauce was bland too. We also felt unwelcome, the plates were cleared, no one offered us dessert menus or coffees, the staff we more interested in talking about what food they were going to make for themselves, we left before half 8

The food was very good actually. Service was a bit slow and rushed. Many phone orders were coming in an staff seemed over worked. People around us waited a long time for food but ours came within an acceptable time.

We visited as a family group of four adults and four young children on 25/9. The manager was so kind,patient and helpful. We were served promptly,the food was great and hot, and he brought everything we asked for straight away . Such a help with young kids.

The staff were very arrogant when you asked them about the menu or when you pronounced something wrong. Whilst waiting for the food you could hear them all by the kitchen swearing loudly in polish and joking about, being obnoxious of the customer’s experience. They wouldn’t come up to you to take your order or ask if everything is alright and they would only come if you physically called them over. The food was good and had no issue with that but overall the customer service was terrible, not to mention to mandatory tip for lousy service!

I had a great expectation from Zizi. Food and services were not good. Waiting for table took about 10mins, it’s not bad. No one bother greet and It took sometime waiter to get order , seems there was only one waiter who had to attend...

A very welcoming restaurant serving good Italian food

Had high expectations as food sounded good. Service was awful, no check backs, waitress forgot some food. Took 30 mins to get the bill no one seemed like they cared. Completely ignored. Staff seemed completely untrained. only thing decent was the food.

Came here after touring the beautiful castle. Staff was very friendly. Our server was attentive and the food came out very quick. My carbonara was truffle and so very good. She had the seafood carbonara and finished the plate. The kid had her usual plain pasta. Can’t mess that up too much. We also had a margarita pizza. I forgot in real Italian places that just is a fancy word for cheese pizza. Not the basil and whole tomato with globs of mozzarella we get in the states. It was a tad soggy middle but still tasty. They had these crunchy fried pasta snacks which were good too. All in all not bad for an Italian place in the middle of England. 😁
