first of all they are cashless? but they do not state this anywhere, except on a tiny sign that you have to squint to read, second of all the front of house stands and watches you eat to the point you feel like it’s a staring contest! the same front of house made a racist remark to a family and told them they couldn’t eat here because it’s booking only, yet sat a family of the same amount with no booking 5 minutes later?? this was awful to listen to.

very unprofessional. I ordered food, starters. they came without a plate to eat, without forks and knives. we had to ask for every detail .. and the waiter (a lady) who served us was not in the mood, with a very unprofessional attitude. (in short, you have to run after the waiter if you need something. the food was ok.

My food arrived cold, I sent it back and it reappeared 20 minutes later (after everybody else had finished their mains), all four meals were a bit bland, unsurprisingly they were empty and despite it being well before their closing time, they were sweeping floors etc around us and making it clear we were an inconvenience to them. A pretty rubbish experience all round.

Food is quite tasty and they have so many options on the menu, including many vegetarian and vegan dishes! Service is fast and staff are so nice. They always give you a free bowl of pasta chips and water. They now have a better rewards system and so far I've already got a few appetizers. Will come back for sure!

Being seated right next door to the disabled toilet with just the door between us and the toilet and having to ask again as to what had happened to our desert order made this quite an unpleasant experience.

The food was tasty. Drinks were good, lovely mocktails. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I won't go back though I enjoyed the food due to a new food allergy policy especially if you are gluten free and dairy free or have multiple allergies or intolerances.

We visit Zizzi’s about once a month in Sheffield so decided to give this one a try when visiting Windsor. Very busy so glad we had pre booked. Main course was up to the usual high standard. However our lemon meringue desert was very disappointing. Sent both our desserts back as there was NO lemon in the dish at all. Waited ten minutes and desserts return but clearly had used what we had sent back with some lemon added and the ice cream we had started to eat was replaced either cream. Not impressed wishes we’d sent them back. When paying neatly £8 for a dessert I do expect to get what is written on the menu. Spoilt an otherwise pleasant evening.

Very small place and tables were close together felt a bit costraphobic really. The Calamari was chewy and the pasta I had was over cooked. The only thing that was nice was the cheesecake. Will not be returning.

Came for an evening meal in a big group for a birthday and had such an amazing time. The food was absolutely delicious- we had a range of pizzas and pastas and let’s just say there were no empty plates by the end! Pizzas are massive- perfect for sharing! And pastas were delicious too, the option for fresh pasta is a lovely choice. Our waitress Kasia made the birthday extra special and was very attentive all evening. She is truly a credit to your team!

We had a great experience at Zizzi Windsor on Sunday. Going out for food as a family is rare and complicated and actually pretty difficult to find anywhere with suitable food for a 5 year old with coeliac disease. The staff here were great, great understanding of coeliac disease and understood cross contamination risks with regards to their friers, had the gluten free meals clearly labelled, had plenty of gluten free choice. Aside of that, our meals were lovely and the Primitivo was beautiful. It was like a breath of fresh air. I left feeling thoroughly fulfilled and had such a great experience that it 100% warranted a great review. An honest thank you Zizzi Windsor, you'd be surprised how much that meant.

Visited for a family meal. 4 of us for an early dinner. Food good but the service was incredibly slow. People at the table next to us waited over an hour for desserts. We waited too long for kids ice cream! Took 40 mins between starters and main. No care from staff with most priority going to takeaway drivers in and out of the restaurant. Clearly those customers not actually visiting are given priority. Also the drivers looked intimidating in their helmets. We were also sat by the door. Terrible draught every time the door opened. Looked a little run down and dirty inside. With both Prezzo and Pizza Express a few doors down we will not be visiting zizzi again.

The pizza was tasteless and so were the calamari. Disappointed. We went a year ago and was much better.

Service was good, food good but expensive. Atmosphere was cold.

Altogether and all round great lunch experience. A friendly welcome by Konrad who looked after us. Excellent pizza, Pepperoni Campagna for me, lovely base, the best I have eaten in a while. My husband's main course, Chicken Calabrese, was plentiful and he commented at how good the chicken was. Thank you to all today. We will return.

Came here with hubby for a late lunch and we had a fantastic experience! Great service and delicious food. The piccante and meat Sofia went day treat! Wine and beer was lovely! All round great experience!

We stopped by after visiting Windsor castle and share a pasta - skewer and cheesecake. I wish I could remember what we ordered as it was amazing - it was one of their most popular pastas.

Ordered delivery which was very quick which is the best thing I can say about it. The festive 5 cheese shitaki didn't seem to have even one cheese exceptionally bland the spaghetti bolognese was over peppered and my partner couldn't eat it the nicest thing was the brushetta but half of it was burnt very disappointing

First of all, the food was lovely and served quickly. The issue I had was the passive aggression from the waiter. We had a big table booked, but unfortunately only half of the group arrived. While I understand the frustration and the potential loss of customers, the waiter told us to ring and update them in future. When I explained that we didn’t know until we got there, he didn’t listen and continued to tell us to update in advance. Needless to say, we won’t be visiting this branch again. In future I’ll be sure to check my crystal ball so that I can update the restaurant.

Zizzi never disappoints. We had the pizza rustica and it was so good! Wide options, good price quality offer. Staff were very friendly and respectful. Will be going back!

They were busy, but they found us a table. The food was good, but there only seemed to be 1 person taking orders and delivering food although there were other staff, not sure what they were doing.

Would give 0 if I could! I had booked a table for 6 people. We arrive and the restaurant is busy. There is a family in front of us.. waiting to be seated. We wait about 5 mins finally a man comes to see them. They say they are 30mins early. He seats them. I then say we have a booking for a table he huffs and complains that he doesn't have any tables. Then sends us to sit at a high table. The leg fell off the table as he moved it to make it bigger for us..he didn't fix it. We were not given menus nor did we get asked what we would like to drink. After 10mins we left. The family who had arrived just before us had drinks???? Rude rude rude. We were ignored. In good news. We went to honest burgers just up the road. It was amazing! So if you are thinking of going to Zizzis don't! Go to to honest burgers instead!

Went there on a weekday half past 6. After waiting 10mins at the door. Was seen by a so called manager who said there is no table free for 2 people until after 8. When clearly there was around 4 tables free in plain sight. Showed no emotion and just expected us to walk away. Same was the treatment for a family behind me who came to have their dinner. Having to find elsewhere. AVOID. Go somewhere where you will be treated as a human and not a lamb ready for slaughter.

We travelled from Reading to Windsor, to see the pizza maker Mario. He is excellent and does the best pizza! We hope you open again in Reading.

A big thank you to the staff at Zizzi Windsor for looking after us last night when they were super busy. We had a 7.30pm booking where the table we were offered (in the basement room) really wasnt for us due to steep steps (we had an older relative with us). So, after a few minutes wait the staff were able to rejig a couple of table and give us a nice window table. The usual amazing food too. We've been coming here for years when we visit the area and we will continue to do so. Thank you all.

My food was disappointing, I ordered king prawn linguine, the menu said it was served with courgette, I only found two tiny slivers, the sauce was bland too. We also felt unwelcome, the plates were cleared, no one offered us dessert menus or coffees, the staff we more interested in talking about what food they were going to make for themselves, we left before half 8

The food was very good actually. Service was a bit slow and rushed. Many phone orders were coming in an staff seemed over worked. People around us waited a long time for food but ours came within an acceptable time.

We visited as a family group of four adults and four young children on 25/9. The manager was so kind,patient and helpful. We were served promptly,the food was great and hot, and he brought everything we asked for straight away . Such a help with young kids.

The staff were very arrogant when you asked them about the menu or when you pronounced something wrong. Whilst waiting for the food you could hear them all by the kitchen swearing loudly in polish and joking about, being obnoxious of the customer’s experience. They wouldn’t come up to you to take your order or ask if everything is alright and they would only come if you physically called them over. The food was good and had no issue with that but overall the customer service was terrible, not to mention to mandatory tip for lousy service!

Had high expectations as food sounded good. Service was awful, no check backs, waitress forgot some food. Took 30 mins to get the bill no one seemed like they cared. Completely ignored. Staff seemed completely untrained. only thing decent was the food.

Last Friday, my partner and I decided to eat at Zizzi’s as we were staying in a nearby hotel. We ordered the calamari and bruschetta for starters, and to say the least, the calamari was very chewy and ‘stringy’. We then ordered one of the fresh pasta dishes and a calzone. The calzone was very soggy, and definitely not worth it! Although the food wasn’t great, we couldn’t fault the staff. Emma, I believe was our waitress and she was exceptional! She was the highlight of the meal and definitely deserves some sort of bonus!!! Thank you Emma for being amazing🥰

Okay, I went to lunch and it wasn't worth it unfortunately. I had to deal with a man waitor whom wasn't cultural experienced and made me feel puzzled as I said the wrong pasta and often was corrected rudly. I got my King linguini pasta and it was so bland no herbs, so I was very disappointed. Won't be going back.

Came here after touring the beautiful castle. Staff was very friendly. Our server was attentive and the food came out very quick. My carbonara was truffle and so very good. She had the seafood carbonara and finished the plate. The kid had her usual plain pasta. Can’t mess that up too much. We also had a margarita pizza. I forgot in real Italian places that just is a fancy word for cheese pizza. Not the basil and whole tomato with globs of mozzarella we get in the states. It was a tad soggy middle but still tasty. They had these crunchy fried pasta snacks which were good too. All in all not bad for an Italian place in the middle of England. 😁

The food was good, the usual Zizzi standard - but what stood out was the helpfulness of the staff. We turned up much earlier than booked and they managed to fit us in (party of 7) and were very accommodating.

The food was fine but the service was shocking! We had to tell the waiter to remove the empty starter plates whilst he was serving us our main course. On top of that, my parents’ informed the management at Zizzi that it was my birthday and they did not even acknowledge that with a complimentary starter or dessert.

The main eating area is over crowded and not a pleasant area to eat in. We ate downstairs, which was a lot quieter, but you were left to your own devices for long periods of time. It waitress apologised so many times it became annoying, but summed up the experience. We would not consider dining there again.

We lunched at Zizzi on the Windsor High Street at noon, yesterday. When we entered the restaurant, there were about three occupied tables, with the rest of the tables there empty. There was a sign that asked us to wait to be seated, which we did. It took Casper, the restaurant manager five minutes to come up and attend to us. When we asked for a table for three, he pulled out his phone and scrolled through it making it out to be like it the restaurant was full and that he was struggling to find us seating. When we suggested a table at the entrance, he said, “Okay fine, sit there” in a tone that sounded like he was doing us a favour. We placed our order with our very clinical and unfriendly waiter, Stuart. While we waited for our food to arrive, given that we were seated at a table diagonally opposite the entrance, we were able to observe how other guests who came in after us were received. It was shocking to see that Caucasian customers were received and seated almost immediately without the phone app being consulted, while the non-Caucasian guests (mainly Asian) ended up having to wait for a few minutes before they were attended to. When it came to us being served, Stuart had brought my sister’s spaghetti carbonara, my niece’s pizza and my bruschetta (which was terrible!) and pork and garlic cheese balls. In the interim, we observed Stuart waiting on a Caucasian family with him being very friendly and attentive to them. I had noticed that my sister did not receive Parmesan cheese to go with her carbonara. After multiple attempts, I managed to get Stuart’s attention several minutes later, with the carbonara going cold, and asked him why my sister had not got the Parmesan cheese with her dish, he simply said, “I forgot.” There was so apology for his oversight. We finished our meal and spoke to the manager, Casper, about the racial bias that my family and I had experienced at Zizzi, instead of listening and trying to understand what I was say, he interjected with, “Let me explain.” It was clearly apparent to me that dining at Zizzi, while the food is mediocre to good, depending on what one orders, it comes with a generous dollop of racial bias.

Sadly the worst zizzi experience I’ve ever had, wouldn’t be returning to the Windsor one. Initially we were seated and then another staff member came over and rudely told us the area was closed, and we needed to move, although we had been seated? Then the starters were completely forgotten, missing items off the mains, including the little bread with the kids meal. Overall not worth the price and not an enjoyable experience, if this was my first experience of a zizzi I wouldn’t use them again.

The dirtiest restaurant I've ever seen. Hygiene is zero. You can't sit in the dirt on the tables and chairs. I can't even imagine the kitchen. We left without ordering.

Went for our usual pizza, but they weren't available that day due to an issue. Meant we deviated from our usual, and we're so pleased we did. The pasta and risotto were both scrummy. We had excellent service from Casper and Stuart, nothing was too much trouble.
