The Wee Bistro in Newtownabbey

The food and service here have always been delicious and it's a great atmosphere. Unfortunately on Sunday past my friend and I had to turn around and leave because the parking at it is impossible. Some eejit was taking up two spaces and he made no effort when he saw us struggling. We were so hungry and disappointed but I can't understand how bigger cars are supposed to comfortably park. My friend has a walking issue so we had to turn around and go somewhere else.

This is a super little restaurant hidden back from the main road and easily missed of your not looking for it. But you must look for it. The food is excellent and all the staff very friendly.

Great staff and the food is delicious and reasonably priced too. We have never had a bad meal, and have tried veggie curry, carbonara, fish and chips, chicken fillet burger, roast dinners and of course their steak. Fantastic!

The Wee Bistro is quirky, nicely decorated and the staff are lovely and friendly. I'm annoyed with myself because they did come over and ask if everything was OK and I didn't complain so that on me, but it was because we didn't want to spoil a nice afternoon with friends. My husband had lasagne which he said was edible but the bottom layer was burnt. I had chicken and bacon ceasar salad which I found to be mostly lettuce. There was small chunks of chicken and tiny slivers of bacon, it just wasn't what I usually would have expected. Normally there would be tender slices of chicken and bacon. My friends said theirs were nice, so all in all I've given an average rating.

On arrival I fell in love with the decor, cozy with what I could say as moody lighting, great atmosphere and clean. staff were quick to say hello an show us to a table, friendly lot, after ordering our meals we're with us in under 20 minutes, I was blown away by the portion sizes, I couldn't manage it all, I had to get a takeaway box! Food tasted great, Well worth the price, A* I will come back here for sure

Oh my Goodness.. Ordered on Sunday for the 1st time. Absolutely beautiful Sunday roast dinners. Desserts as well. Cheesecake & Banoffee beautiful. Top quality. All packaged great too. Had beautiful food again tonight. Lasagna is amazing. Chicken stack hubby z beautiful too. Cinnamon Apple crumble OMG. Worth every penny.. We get takeaway

Amazing food at a great price. Steak was done perfectly, chips were perfect and everyone cleared their plates. Will be back.

Have been here a few times, always lovely food with great staff. Today we placed a big party food order for a corporate event and it was fantastic. We asked if they could accommodate a vegan and the guys went above and beyond giving both a hot and cold food selection. Everyone was really impressed with the food. Extra shout out to the staff who are always welcoming and go above and beyond with their customer service.

Every dish was amazing! The flavors were bold and well-balanced, the service was quick and friendly, and the whole experience was wonderful.

We had a nice surprise this afternoon at the wee bistro. A very tasty roast dinner and Caesar salad. The staff were friendly. The only slight negatives were the tucked away location and the parking. But we would will be going back as the posives were so strong.

A bit pricey for what it is. There's just something missing in quality and taste of food. £2.90 For a soft drink. Sorry guys won't be back or recommending. Just missing the yummy and can't wait to return touch / taste. Bland

The wee bistro is safe enough for you to go there alone and the staf is nice and kind and the food and drinks are great and there is beautiful lights all around the wee bistro and there is a bus stop near the wee bistro

This is a wee gem of a restaurant in Glengormley, food is always superb. We were there on Saturday 14th December as a group of 4 their Christmas menu was amazing, food delicious and service amazing. The staff all seem to love working their and to me this speaks volumes!!! We have been here several times now abd it never fails can't wait until the next time !! Go and enjoy it all yourself..

Visited the wee bistro today for lunch with my girlfriend. I had the lasagne and chunky chips and the missus had the chicken stack with pepper sauce. Food was unreal. Nicest meal ive had from there in a long time.

Popped in for a quick lunch. Staff are incredibly friendly and the food is freshly cooked which is becoming rarer and rarer. We had paninis and various drinks. Would definitely return and try out breakfast and brunch.

Arrived in to be greeted with a " We are closing in 10 -15mins " The girl was in more of hurry to wipe her tables down and get off shift sharp . Pity , as the other young girl was so pleasant .

Staff are nice and friendly and the coffee is really good. Unfortunately the food isn’t great and is pretty overpriced. The “panini” isn’t panini pressed, it’s a warm baguette? We ordered a wrap, not toasted and it came toasted and scalding hot. They replaced it but I really would’ve just preferred a refund given that I sat with nothing to eat for 15 minutes waiting for someone to check on us. We also ordered soup that never came…

Food is great, staff friendly and not hard to pay either. Ask about their flavoured teas and lemonades and banana milkshake

Our first visit to the Wee Bistro after a stay in Antrim. We wanted to have a nice breakfast before driving home, and they did not disappoint. The food was impeccable the fry was delicious and perfectly cooked. The servers were quick and efficient. 100% recommend.

Husband and I had lunch today. Great atmosphere, staff just lovely and very attentive. Beautifully decorated. We both had the sweet chilli chicken loaded bowls, his was with fries and mine rice. Prices were average and the food delicious. We asked for sweet chilli sauce as both dishes were just a little dry and it was just perfect after that. We will be back in the evening and highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

Be careful of the prices. Requested two rounds of toast and two sausages for breakfast and was charged £8 (With a drink nearly £12) Pricing is wild! Staff not overly helpful. Not made to feel welcome. Won't be returning. It used to be great value for money a few years ago.

First time in The Wee Bistro. My wife was recommended it by a friend so we thought we might as well call in for lunch. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Creole Pasta as never had before. Really enjoyed. Definitely recommend if you looking for a new dining experience.

Food was amazing . Portion sizes very generous. We had chicken wings for starters, they were so tasty But for me the 2 ladies serving the food are a great asset to this place. Very friendly and couldn't do enough for us . Will definitely be back soon .......John

Just went again to the Wee Bistro, another gorgeous lunch, I had a panini my mum had the brisket loaded fries and aunt had Ceaser roll. Absolutely scrumptious and seriously the staff are just amazing. Today we were served by Zoe and Catherine. They really are incredible at their jobs so welcoming friendly and professional. Staff make a place and they are outstanding well all the staff are. The chef wow he is so good and great portions and so fresh. Can’t wait to come again and again. Would highly recommend. Below is the review on our first visit I took my aunts to have a lovely lunch. We were served by Diana, what an incredible waitress, so friendly, helpful excellent customer service. All the staff were so lovely and friendly. We had never been there before but was highly recommended and it didn’t disappoint.

Visited a few weeks ago with 3 others to try the Sunday menu. Was really impressed everyone really enjoyed their dishes, great selection for all tastes from fries to pasta to a full Sunday dinner. Staff were really friendly and offered good service Food prices were reasonable, only reason its not a 5* review is I got charged £2.70 for a 330ml can of coke. I expect to pay a bit more for a drink in a restaurant but think that price is a bit OTT.

We have been here before the pasta dish is my favourite but every time before the size of my meal would be quite large but yesterday it was id say half the portion that is poor i was nearly going to joke is this a starter . Not good for the price but that seems to be norm now more price less food .

Went for dinner on a wed night was first couple there so service was quick had been several times and always raved about this place this was our first time since Xmas but don't no if they've changed chief but food has gone to the dogs both starters and mains were terrible won't be back sorry to say

The not so wee bistro fry is perfect. Everything you want in an Ulster fry is part of it and you get free refills of filtered coffee. It’s a busy enough wee diner and the staff are friendly and helpful

Well, what can I say? The Wee Bistro is a real asset to Glengormley. 4 of us, including my 85 Yr old Mother, had dinner here tonight. The service, ambience and food (a little herby, bubbling tomato sauce with the lasagne would've topped it off) were brilliant. When the staff couldn't manage to get a Taxi for us, they organised for the Chef to bring us home! Never in my 52 years have a seen a service like it, anywhere. A massive thank you for doing that. Although I've lived in London for over 30 years, so proud to say that Glengormley is my home and the people that go with it. Thank you Wee Bistro, until next time.

Best Sunday lunch I've ever had.

I love the wee bistro! Me and my daughter go most saturdays for brunch, the selection and portion sizes are great. The staff are lovely, kind and always drop something to keep the child entertained. The food is served quickly. We've been for brunch, lunch, dinner and Sundays at this stage and it's always a good experience! Highly recommend

This is a regular restaurant my Daughter goes to and she recommended it to me. Three of us went for the Sunday lunch, which seems to have the best choices. I got the Beef brisket I think it's called. I said to the waitress that was the nicest lunch I've ever had. And it really was, ever the Yorkshire pudding was tasty and I don't normally see the point in them but not this one. I will certainly be back.

Had a beautiful lunch here today. The aesthetics of the bistro are beautiful, food is first class and staff are super welcoming and friendly. We'll definitely be back. I had the Kentucky Burger ( best tasting chicken burger I've had in a long time, my search is over) and hubby had the Special Taco Burger.

There was 21 of us for my brothers birthday dinner on 30th December and we were not disappointed. Nothing was too much bother, the staff were amazing, food was delicious and the atmosphere was buzzing. Thank you all so much again for everything 😊

Gorgeous warm cosy spacious decor with lots of happy phrases posted everywhere. Food was lovely and reasonable prices comparable at mo. Toilets very clean too always great for hygiene. Staff friendly. But I was put off badly by being forgotten about for ages once seated and after placing my order. It's horrible watching others being served in front of you that came on after you just because there are more of them. Please stop asking women is it Just Yourself when they arrive then ignoring them.

Excellent place to dine in. Especially with family and kids. Service is fantastic and food is even better. It is not an ordinary restaurant. Food is not like food you can get in every single other restaurant. You could taste that food was prepared with love and care. Kids are provided with pictures to paint which is then displayed behind the bar. Excellent place

My partner and I had the all-day breakfast each on the 20th. Nicely presented and all 4 members of staff we dealt with were excellent. Food is very personal....all was very good except the bacon was quite salty and overcooked, and not all items were hot but this didn't diminish our enjoyment too much....well our dog was happy with the bacon for her dinner. Good atmosphere and efforts noted to make the place fresh and comfortable. I wish you guys much success.

This place is an amazing little gem, right in the middle of Glengormley. I took my mum for her birthday and the place was buzzing. Would definitely recommend booking, especially on a Saturday night. We were welcomed by a lady with a massive smile and shown to our table, which was a lovely booth. The restaurant has no alcohol licence, so you can bring your own. They brought us glasses for our wine. The menu wasn't too big so it was easier to make a choice. Both mum and I went for the chicken and bacon stack, which came on a bed of creamy mash and tobacco onions. It had pepper sauce on the side. And it was amazing. Truly amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection 🥰. And it was a good size portion. Mum really enjoyed hers. Her plate was empty in no time. The service was great. The staff didn't over check on us, which I love. There is nothing worse than someone coming over every 5 minutes. The atmosphere was great. And even my mum enjoyed herself. Will definitely be back. Keep up the Good work guys. 5 out of 5

Gorgeous wee spot in the middle of Glengormley. Came for breakfast and it was top notch. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Great service, great food, lovely surroundings. Will definitely get back!
