Whose Art Cafe in Newtownabbey

Had a lovely lunch today. The salt and chilli chicken was delicious, probably one of the best I’ve ever eaten. Catered for gluten free also. Fab tray bakes and great coffee. Friendly staff. This is somewhere we’ll be back to.

Had a lovely lunch here with three friends. This is a quirky little place with a great atmosphere and great lunches. The staff are lovely and friendly and prices are not scary. I had a delicious wrap and my friends said their food was great. Oh and the coffee was yum. Highly recommended

Called in for something to eat, my sandwich did not disappoint! Packed with filling! My partner on the other hand had toasted soda bacon and sausage. The sausages were cut in half prior to being what I imagine was reheated so the inner meat was tough and chewy and not very nice at all. Bacon wasnt great, but sodas were soggy and only half ass toasted on 1 side. Whilst we were finishing our coffees and chatting we were approached by a older female member of staff asking us to move seats!! It was quite embarrassing being asked to move and honestly extremely unprofessional, surely the customers seated should be looked after firsthand and not made to move so that new customers could be given an already taken seat. We just left after this it was very off putting!

Lunch today was beautiful, it was are first visit and looking forward to another visit. A great selection of savoury & desserts. Staff are a credit to this business. All extremely well organised. I will be recommending this hidden gem to family & friends 5*

I came here for breakfast with 2 friends who were visiting from Dublin. Firstly we were disappointed because there was no option of a fry up on the menu, which is what we had come in for, and I expect a lot of people would want for a breakfast. Instead I ordered something called a 'waffle stack' but the sausage tasted dry and chewy like it had been cooked a long time before and possibly microwaved(!) it definitely wasn't freshly cooked to order. The bacon was also very dry and tough and you could crack your teeth on the waffle it was so hard, you couldn't even cut it. My friend had bacon and poached egg on toast but had to order extra eggs to make up a sort of fry, which when added with the price of a coffee was extremely expensive for a breakfast. The owners of this place need to rethink the menu and how they cook the food. The only thing going for it were the lovely friendly staff and service. People pay for and deserve freshly cooked food, not waffles out of a packet and dry old reheated sausages and bacon. Don't think we'll ever be back.

I visit this lovely place on a regular basis. I could be with a family, partner or solo and this place never disappoints. Consistant, top quality food and service, with a relaxing lovely atmosphere makes you feel always welcomed and appreciated as a customer.

Visited here recently and I asked for a dairy free latte but the only milk they had was soya or oat and with me being both dairy and gluten intolerant I couldn’t have the oat. Also I asked if there was a tray bake to which they offered me carrot cake because it was vegan but luckily I asked another staff member to be double sure and was told it had gluten in it. I’m so glad I asked otherwise I would’ve been very ill. The girl who served it was apologetic but they really need to not only accommodate all allergies but make sure they know the ingredients before serving. I won’t be back there and if you have allergies I would think twice about going.

It's a really pleasant change to visit a nice restaurant with good food and follow the guidelines of the health authorities regarding the protection of their staff and customers. I have not been in a restaurant that the staff continuously clean the seating areas before and after customers sit down, well done to the staff and the management/owners. The food is fresh, well prepared and presented to a high standard.

COVID-19 😷but what a sandwich 😁 Hey sorry about the title but it is what it is 🤔 yip it was just perfect and the staff where so pleasant and yip smiled 😁😁and boy do I luv staff that smile and can have a laugh 👍 The atmosphere was good and the decor exciting with art work on the walls which I may add inc some Terry Bradley’s 😜 Not a lot I can add but go on give it a try and enjoy 😉

I love whose art cafe and go there quite a lot it’s maybe not the sort of place I would go to for dinner more lunch or brunch. The food is very nice and the staff are even better definitely going back soon. The value of money is good to compared to some other places definitely recommend. Thanks

A little disappointed here. As a regular enough customer I was surprised when we were asked to vacate our seats. Totally understand businesses needing to get back on their feet but felt it greedy to ask paying customers to leave. Have to be honest, felt the place was too busy in the current circumstances. Tables not too far apart and large majority of staff walking around with masks on their chins. Pretty pointless. Won’t be back until they sort out their numbers and appreciate that a paying customer should be allowed to stay for as long as they wish.

Able to get booked here at short notice, which we appreciated. Seating was not the most comfortable but staff very friendly and food was quite nice and we had a pleasant time. Overall not too badly priced either.

Excellent coffee and great choice of milks.... I've only had scones but they're lovely with a great choice from plain to white chocolate! Staff are friendly and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. My only negative would be that it really needs a refurb, looking dated with some very uncomfortable chairs and a dismal toilet!

This place is great nice fresh food the poached eggs bacon and homemade toasted wheaten bread is scrumptious. Daughter loves the cream cheese with smoked salmon bagels grand_daughter loves the chilli chicken strips sweet potato fries and 🥗salad.
