Fantastic dinner at Augustine Kitchen - entrecôte steak was delicious - full of flavour and very tender. And it was included in the very reasonable fixed price menu! We were well looked after by Agnes. Looking forward to another visit soon.

A delightful little piece of France in Battersea. Superb chef patron restaurant with freshly produced delicious food. A wonderful wine list along with a stellar collection of spirits and digestifs. Too long since I visited last time, but definitely will not be as long until our next visit!

I visited the restaurant on a Friday evening and had the high quality and extremely good value set menu at around £33. The quality of the food belied the price. Stand out dishes from my visit were the starter of soft egg, mushroom saute and mushroom cappuccino (superb) and the entrecôte. Highly recommended and hope to return!

This French restaurant in London is simply exceptional. The chef's food is delicious, each dish is prepared with care and offers authentic flavours. We loved the coq au vin and seabass. The wine list is impressive, with a selection of French wines that complement the dishes perfectly. The Savoie white wine was a great discovery. Thanks to the waitress’s advice. The service was impeccable, with waiters who were not only professional but also warm and attentive. Many thanks for a memorable evening, we will definitely be back !

The service and food was amazing. I had the snails to start and my girlfriend had the lobster which were both delicious. We then shared the Cote de boeuf which was hand carved by the chef and excellently cooked. All washed down by one of the many selections of red wine. A beautiful little restaurant that I highly recommend.

Our firm family favourite - authentic, absolutely scrummy French food. Beautifully served, delicious wines, cheeses too. Comfortable seating, impeccable service in a stylish environment - wish I could buy the plates and jugs! It has never disappointed. Thank you again!

Great neighbourhood French restaurant with delicious food and very friendly staff

We had a terrific dinner. The menu was simple and the food delicious. I had a lovely cream lobster bisque and my companion the duck fois gras. Then the scallops and cod. All beautifully cooked and presented. Pudding was great too. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The French waiter was friendly and attentive, the Lithuanian waitress was very good on recommending the wines and sharing knowledge.

Augustine Kitchen still does a set lunch which is something of a bargain at £16.95 for two courses and £20.95 for three. The choice is somewhat limited but it matters not when the cooking is of such quality. Oeufs meurettes and pumpkin soup were on offer as starters with chicken thighs and red mullet as mains. A creme brûlée on a fruit compote was a wonderfully decadent dessert.

Frank has a top experience of being an amazing chef. I would recommend to try a lobster bisque and two different steaks. Both were delicious. Another wonderful meal at Augustine - we shared a big beef fillet between four of us and it was just perfect. No idea what Franck does to the peas but they are delicious. Fries perfect too. Lobster bisque to start was velvety and full of flavour. All washed down with our favourite Savoie wines. We love this place!

Augustine Kitchen is a Battersea gem. The Savoyard menu is superb, and the service first-rate. Make sure you pair your meal with a Savoie wine - there is in excellent selection and the staff's recommendations are spot-on.

Long wait,from 1st to 2nd,we enjoy this restraunt normally, but as only 2 other tables (2 and 3 persons) on a weekday lunch 45minutes between what we eat ( venison excellent fish v satisfactorily eaten) we were charged for a second price of bread) we found it not good for a quick lunch

Nice food, the snails were very tasty as was the steak. There were a few other people sat in towards the back when we visited but quite quiet. Service was polite.

My friend and I really enjoyed the Set Menu. Choice of two dishes for starters and main. Fish was delicious. We sat in the conservatory which is bright and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Service was great, friendly and efficient.

For a location that isn’t easy to get to I expected more for the price. Service was slow we waited well over an hour before main courses arrived after ordering and the restaurant was far from busy. It’s expensive even on the set menu food was good but nothing special. having read the reviews I expected much more and was a bit disappointed.

We booked this gem as it has a 10/10 average review on another site. It is a charming, independent, french restaurant in Battersea. Everything is executed so well. From the charming decor and fabulous service to the absolutely delicious food. I even really enjoyed the background music. It is reasonably priced and there was a set menu if you were on a budget. The food was so good I could go back again today. My wife enjoyed her wine and there was a fabulous selection, as you would expect in a good restaurant. I thoroughly recommend it and I will definitely go again when I am back in the area.

We have been in London for work for three weeks, dining out every evening. This was the best meal we have had here. The server was extremely knowledgeable and attentive, assisting with food and wine choices without being intrusive. The chef came out of the kitchen twice, once to check on our food and once to serve our desserts, including pouring a warm salty caramel sauce over my chocolate mousse. The restaurant itself is lovely: casually elegant, very inviting. The prices are reasonable for the innovative yet traditional menu and very high quality of the food. Our onion soup, cassolette of snails, grilled steak, and braised chicken were outstanding. Dining at Augustine Kitchen was the perfect conclusion to our stay in London, one we will long remember after we return home to the US.

Absolutely superb food and wine list. The veal chop with morells was the best dish I've eaten in a long time. Great atmosphere and excellent service from a professional team. This is the best all round restaurant in Battersea by some way.

Attending a business lunch as part of large group.The rest of the group liked the food, I had to ask for alternative options due to food allergies but this was greeted with an air of annoyance. What I received was disappointing and I could barely get an answer from the waitress to explain what was actually on my plate. Judging from the other plates on the table the food looked nice and people enjoyed the meal, I just feel disappointed I was made to feel uncomfortable and a major inconvenience. The staff should aim to improve their people skills as I found the whole experience to be rude and unnecessary. A smile and interaction with customers can go a long way. I will not be returning.

This is a wonderful 'local' restaurant, a great rarity. The food is superb, excellent quality and an imaginative choice of dishes from beef to vegan. Lovely atmosphere and we frequently meet friends for supper while I have the occasional female lunch. Many of the friends I have taken there have become regulars as well and I can't think of a better recommendation! Diana

My husband and I had booked a table for 2 at Augustine as part of our Christmas Day out on Friday 23 December 2022. We arrived excited and very much looking forward to our meal following all the lovely reviews however it didn’t go well at all! Our booking was at 1.45pm and we called to say that we were running 10 mins late. This didn’t go down too well as the kitchen closed at 2pm. We arrived at 1.54 after sprinting down the road to make it and apologising profusely. I can honestly say that I’ve never received a greeting like this.. I think I have greeted a plumber to my home better than that! Clearly she was VERY upset that we were 10 minutes late. Well it didn’t get any better, the menus were placed in front of us (with no word spoken) and she came back probably around 3 minutes later to take the order and of course we hadn’t really had a chance to look, we were still trying to catch our breath and dab the sweat from our brows! So we didn’t really have time to take the menu in and had to order something quickly to avoid upsetting her any further. Unfortunately the service didn’t get any better, the whole experience was rushed and we just felt uncomfortable. It was like sitting in someone’s house who doesn’t really want you there! The food and wine itself was nice and the set lunch menu is excellent value but the service unfortunately let it down hugely.

Midweek evening while visiting my son in Battersea - found simply by google search and very pleased with myself for doing so. This is a proper French restaurant serving high quality French food. The relatively compact menu is full of temptations including 2 and 3 course fixed price options. We both went for 2 course ones while sharing some cheese to finish. I had cassoulet of snails then entrecôte while my son had duck terrine and entrecôte - all delightful. We were surprised at being treated to chestnut soup as a complimentary additional first course. The Wine List is serious although settled on a 500ml carafe of each of the house white and red offerings which were both predictably good. The service was friendly, informative, attentive and professional. What’s not to like ?….nothing given our experience. In my opinion to categorise as merely Md-Range somewhat understates this place. I left feeling that my £120 bill (service included) was money well spent. Thankyou..
