Great pizzas, Awful staff.
The staff were making unkind comments about customers. We were instantly met with a poor attitude by one of the female members of staff. The male members of staff stood joking around at others expense instead of serving.
Had a quick visit to Herne Bay and so glad we chose this friendly place for our lunch. The home made quiche and steak and kidney pie were delicious (I even got to have a jug of gravy for my chips). The sunday roasts looked fabulous, just about to devour home made rice pudding and jam (evoking fond childhood memories). Will certainly come again if we’re ever this way, just try it, you will get a lovely warm welcome and won’t be disappointed :)
Loved coming to this pub, amazing atmosphere, so nice to sit outside near the canal. The food was outstanding and definitely worth the price.
All the staff were welcoming and they can take a good banter.
Me and my friend called here after a walk for some lunch and it was amazing. The food was so fresh, everything was really well presented and tasted delicious. The service was really good and efficient. The barn outside was lovely and cosy, especially with the burning log fire. The milkshakes were so good. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be returning.
What a great find ….. travelling with allergies gf-df is hard but these guys made it easy… great service experienced staff who took the time and checked things out but above all great tasting food fav dishes meatballs & prawn heading back again before leaving town
Food is always amazing and cooked to perfection.
Tried the dry aged sharer tonight, absolutely amazing!
Highly recommend, nice and cozy woth lovely staff!
Really tasty pizzas. We had a smoked salmon pizza and a calzone. Both were great. Not dry or burned like pizzas I've had in other restaurants. We will be going again.
It's a complete family-run establishment. I can say it's the epitome of simplicity and perfection. The meze platter, kebab, mixed grill, and meatballs—everything is perfect. The cozy and intimate ambiance is excellent too.
Amazing friendly staff. We ordered the seafood platter and when we asked how many people it was suitable for, they told us that while it was meant for 2 people, they'll throw in some extra stuff and make it sufficient for our party of 3 which included a pre-teen.
When the food came, it blew our minds. Every item was delicious, and this was perhaps the most perfectly cooked platter we've ever had!
Come quite regularly usually visiting every 6 to 8 weeks and have done so for about 15 years so I think I’m pretty well qualified to give an unbiased review.
Cafe is great, love the soups!
We bought a series of cutlery, some plates, other little bits, £1.
I think the comments about the cost of some other items such as the furniture is unfair. There are an array of sofas, chairs, tables, furniture for some incredibly reasonable prices. The picture of the sofa for £700 or whatever…it’s huge, a four seater and a large two seater. Both in really good condition. Or if that’s not to your taste or budget literally 5 steps away from that is a reasonably priced alternative and then just as you walk in the door 20/25 other seating alternatives.
But again, with these public reviews that potentially last forever on the internet I think it’s also important to remember the people that work and give their time and energy to change their little bit of the world for the better.
Keep doing what you’re doing. And if you think a sofa set is worth £700 odd quid, so be it, and if you don’t…maybe don’t worry about it, go upstairs and have a big mug of tea for a £1.
