What a great restaurant, the owner is a real Italian with a heart for his guests and his business. The eight of us were not booked, but we still received a very warm welcome. The dishes and wines were delicious and we had a very pleasant evening. The owner is a hard working, super friendly man. Thanks to him we had a fantastic evening. Thank you for your hospitality. What a lovely evening. We were made to feel like kings from the outset, amazing truffle arancini, the duck ragout and risotto were magnificent and a lovely tiramisu. If you’re in Camden, go here ❤️

Pizza was tasty, the service was good and the ambience too, but the pasta was really nothing special.

Went as a group of 8. I believe the only people whom enjoyed their meal were those that ordered the margarita pizza. I ordered a ham and pistachio pizza, didn’t come with any tomato sauce (my mistake I suppose) so was very dry. Calamari was cooked from frozen. The boar was strange. We were the only people there and service took 70 mins. Given the reviews, I’d like to think we just had an irregular bad experience

We have spent several days ahead and the truth is that from the first day it gave us a good vibe Well, we were right because the service was great and the dishes we ordered surpassed each dish. If you come during truffle season, don't hesitate to order everything that has truffles because it is surpassed, small cozy and the selection of wines 😍the one in the photo was the What we took and it is veryyyyyy good 10/10

I’m a local, and this is one of my favourite places in Camden. I selfishly fear that reviews like this will make it harder for me to book. Today, because my reserved tables took slightly longer to get seated at, was given two glasses of Prosecco, and focaccia. The food was great, and I hope nothing but success for them.

Very friendly service and good atmosphere but the pizzas were not good at all ! The pizza were very differents from the photos and not enough baked, still white. Check my photo.

Terrible service, average food. A rude waiter on arrival made everything less enjoyable, he had quite an attitude and it was clear he didn’t want to be there. The pizza we ordered was meant to have prosciutto cotto (cooked ham) it had none, we raised it and he said “I can remake it but it will be the same” then he asked to dig for the ham under the cheese- there wasn’t any-. In the end they brought a pizza with some actual ham on top. The steak was average - not the best quality, but well cooked-, but it came with 1kg of rocket from Tesco. Nothing else. The octopus and the lobster were good but starter portions. The best was the burratta and the doughnuts for sure- the tiramisu was one of the worst ever, dry biscotti no taste of coffee whatsoever-. I wouldn’t recommend it or go back.

If this is Italian food I’m a Spaniad! I had a Penne Arrabbiata and, honestly, it was an awful mishmash. The atmosphere is more canteen than Italian restaurant. The staff were fine but that’s all I can say that’s vaguely positive. I don’t believe for a moment the dish was cooked by an Italian. If it was I would be very surprised. Will not be returning.

Small cozy place Warm Good pizzas

Excellent food and wine selection. The montepulciano was delicious and went incredibly well with the dishes. To start I had the charcoal focaccia with tomatoes & stracciatella, which is a must! So flavourful yet light. The duck tagliatelle was gorgeous, and definitely get a side of green veg. Perfectly tender & laced with garlic and chilli oil. Divine! The pistachio donuts were insane, so if you're a fan of pistachio, these are an absolute must! It's not the cheapest place but it's totally worth it for lovely service, excellent food, and great wine.

Very small nice Italian restaurant in the neighborhood. I like the atmosphere of small place, that doesn't feel too commercial. The food is good , but some of the dishes can be could be more precise. It’s a nice place to eat in.

#london2024 We went for dinner last night to De Gusto, one of our two favourite Italian restaurants. We ordered our favourite Negroamaro wine, and the chef's complimentary bread came along with it. For a starter we ordered a Truffle Arancino (the menu says 'Arancina' in the Palermo style) with fondue to share. This was excellent, crisp on the outside, stuffed with mozzarella and truffle, and with the cheese fondue to pour over it. What came next was a shock. We had ordered the Duck Tagliatelle to share and I expected a nice, rich Duck Ragù clinging to the Tagliatelle. But here was this boiled Tagliatelle with a few herbs, hardly any Duck - just a few shreds of meat. I mentioned this to the owner and he said he would talk to the Chef, and that was it. Very disappointing. Never have I seen such a dry Tagliatelle.

Had a very enjoyable early dinner here. We had no reservation but were able to walk in at about 4pm on a Saturday. The restaurant is very small and cosy, so would probably need to book in peak times. We were given free bread before the food we actually ordered arrived, which was a little too smoky tasting for us but it was free so I wouldn't knock the rating for this. We had the charcoal focaccia and the fried pecorino to start- both were delicious and really nicely presented. Followed by a pizza each which were again, really tasty and reasonably priced. One of us couldn't finish the pizza and they happily packaged up the leftovers for us to take away. We had a couple of cocktails, these were really good, easy to drink and because it was London they didn't seem too expensive. Service friendly and unintrusive, there was one lady serving everyone and making all of the drinks, she seemed to be working very hard! Only real negative was that they ran out of the dessert I wanted to try (chocolate fondant.)

Spent a very enjoyable afternoon lunch in this lovely place. Service was exceptional. Very attentive when needed and always delivered with a warm smile. Food was truly superb, as proven by the empty plates. Had the Calamari to start, Lasagne Bolognese for main and followed by Chocolate fondant. Every dish was a delight but l would particularly recommend the Lasagne. The tomato sauce was beautiful and so tasty, l only wish l had their secret recipe. Price wise, l feel it is relatively competitive, compared to similar high quality restaurants in London. Let’s just say l left, feeling l had pretty good value for money. This really is a wonderful place to enjoy a great Italian meal with your friends or family and we will be back.

This place really does have incredible food. The ingredients were very clearly really high quality and fresh. The staff were absolutely wonderful. If you're thinking about going here I can't recommend it enough. Prices were very reasonable as well.

What a place! such beautiful vibe and it is a family run place. The food was amazing, so flavourful and made with love.

My wife and I ate there last week. We were initially a bit sceptical as the menu wasn't your usual Italian pasta and pizzs place. The manager explained the menu came from all over Italy not just one area. I oredered the Carlofortina's Mafalde vegetarian option and my wife had the Chicken Schnizel. The original waiter seemed a little uncertain and got my order wrong as it arrived with Tuna. The Manager sorted it out quickly. I have never had Mafalde pasta before so it was a new experience for me - visually they looked a little like octopus tentacles - but I have to say they were beautifully al dente and tasty. My wife loved her chicken schnitzel. The Tiramisu for dessert was gorgeous. We will come again

Great food and lovely staff! The food is amazing!

The meal was pretty good, but the quantities were really small. For the main course I had the risotto, which cost £22 (around €26) and on my plate I had the equivalent of 4 tablespoons to eat. We were very disappointed and the bill was steep.

We decided to went in this Italian place and there’s nothing that reminds Italy. We came in and was completely empty, there was just another table in the other room, maybe 2/3 guests. We start to order and as we were close to the kitchen and you can see what are they cooking we realised that everything was frozen, all the main ingredients, focaccia octopus, lobster, chicken etc. we order some scallops, we didn’t even finished as was tasting so bitter idk why, but was inedible. We were even shocked as soon as we realised that the chef was Italian.. that’s is a shame as in Italy nowhere you can eat so shoddy. We ask for still water, that means not tap, and they said they have to charge it.. is that a news? I mean.. if I ask you I know I’m gonna pay for it. I don’t know how they can have a lot of positive reviews, maybe they don’t know how is the true taste of Italy, but as an Italian.. that’s a big no. Btw the only waiter was nice with us, I’m talking just about the atmosphere, and food.

I had high hopes for this place after reading reviews. Now after having been there I find it overrated. A glass of wine cost £11. Which is more than the average price. The glass was meant to be 175ml but looked more like 125ml. The wine itself was nice however. The chicken escalope was OK - the quality of the meat was not great. Gristly and uneven. A small salad accompanied that and that was all. Tables were way too close together hardly any space to move around. I would not visit this place again and do not recommend it.

An excellent Italian restaurant with very good food attentive service and a manager who knows his wine pairings. I particularly recommend the lobster and the rabbit tagliatelle The place is comfy but small so get a reservation The tiramisu was a bit ( just a bit) off but I was very impressed when the manager followed up and came back with an explanation (and did not charge us) This is exceptionally professional and my esteem for the establishment only increased! Oh and the negroni was excellent as well! Highly recommended

I organised a work team dinner and it went really well. The atmosphere was lovely on a cold January evening. The staff very friendly and helpful. Efficient service and delicious wine and food. Everyone had a great time, thank you so much. We can't wait to come back.

My friend was warmed to be charged 60 pounds if we didn't show up while booking a table for 4 on the phone. Reviews looked great, menu too. When arrived the waiters were sleepy and not that professional. I ordered tartar, was interesting but my friends waited 40mns for their dishes, restaurant was nearly empty. Dishes were small portioned but tasty. Also didn't deserved the over rated fuss about. 16 pounds service charge were added on the bill for 4 of us. 9 pounds for half glass of house red wine...Experience was not great at all. Mayfair vibes wanna be? No return planned for sure.

This place was one of the best restaurant I have been too in London, italiano!! Unique and delicious, Michelin star deserves, spent New Years with our friends and was the best end to a beautiful year. Perfect portions and food. Everything amazing.

Ive been holding off because I think the products here are amazing. Today (about an hour ago) I made an order which was accepted, about 30 minutes later the restaurant just cancels it no explanation no calling no justification. I submit the same order again and they accept it. What is going on ? For clarity I made the order around 4pm and the restaurant showed as open not as pre-accepting orders but as open. They should really get the hang of using deliveroo, they keep showing as open when they are not and the pre-ordering / accepting orders when they are closed has failed before. This is the second time something similar happens its extremely dissapointing and poor service, last time they called at first but then unexpectedly cancelled my order.

The food is amazing!!! Especially the spaghetti with seafood, it’s fantastic! All the starters are so delicious. Fried squids, burrata and fried cheese are yummy. The waitor is very friendly. Best Italian food that I have tried in london!

The service and the atmosphere was great but the food was not as I as I expected

Andres and Simone helped us and were both wonderful and charming and the atmosphere was welcoming and cozy. We had the lasagna, tagliatelle, and pizza special, all were so flavorful and delicious. We will be returning again!

The single waiter was overwhelmed by the work he had to do with deliveroo and tables. He did his best and was charming. The food was good. However they server raw mushrooms for my main. When I asked for it to be cooked the chef chopped it into tiny pieces. It was inedible. Then to top off his achievements he served half my pudding. The waiter, bless him went in to get it prepared properly and I saw the chef throwing pans around in a T emper. This was a bad day for the chef. Nice wine list. The food that did arrive was nice, but too crowded and inconsistent food. When you are spending £100 a head it needs to be better.

Very small Italian restaurant with authentic Italian dishes and traditional wines and beers

The Truffle mains were disappointingly mediocre in taste and a very small portion. Simply put - didn't match the price set. All other aspects of the experience were nice enough - starters - service ect.

The food at the restaurant was excellent, and the interior was lovely. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Simone, who was very nice. I ordered the tartare and octopus dishes, and they were presented beautifully and tasted amazing. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Absolute gem of a restaurant. Authentic Italian with in my humble opinion, Michelin star quality. The bread melts in your mouth, all of the food is well balanced. I really enjoyed the truffle pasta (seasonal) and the wine options by the glass were all really good quality. The quality is topped off with a great and friendly service. Onwards and upwards for this restaurant, really good evening, my family were very happy for a fathers day meal. Thanks!
