Great food. Great staff. Fresh thoughtful ingredients. Everything is cooked to order, it just doesn't get any fresher. Account for allergens by default. No gluten, sesame, peanuts etc. Credit batter, fabulous chips! Great location, just along from the beach.

Llevo años viniendo aquí cuando enseño en Londres. Maravilloso café. El café es genial, sirven buena comida a precios razonables, el personal es muy amable. Uno de mis favoritos.

Went to Hillside for afternoon tea with my two sisters. Absolutely delightful experience. Sat outside in the sunshine, peaceful, quiet with hostess Sue who was just lovely. All the food was delicious and homemade with refills on tea and coffee. Can't recommend Sue highly enough and will be going back again.

Came here with my partner and the Outlaws. Pizza was great, nicely cooked and the sugo was amazing, so flavourful and delicious. The pizza was a bit thinner and crispier than I personally consider Neapolitan, but that’s really splitting hairs because it was very tasty. I opted for pepperoni. The chips were astonishingly good. I don’t need a pizza AND chips, but I would order the chips again without hesitation. Service was personal and professional and the restaurant ambience and environment was a pleasure to sit in.

I am a regular to Chute on Friday nights and i always have a great night, but something has changed, the usual faces have gone and there's a ginger haired fellow behind there now that clearly does not have a clue what he is doing. He looks very out of place and its now a far cry from the it was.

Highly recommended. I’d only ever bought cakes from shops, but wanted a personalised one. I was walked through the process and given advice about size and colours etc, based on what I wanted. The cake itself looked stunning, was everything I wanted, and tasted delicious.

Friendly owner and staff. Clean place. Had sandwich from display case and they heated it up for us. We sat and ate outside.

Visited before 2nd lockdown and everything was run to keep customers and staff safe, food was incredible and staff lovely. Will definitely return soon as we can. Very dog friendly
