The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving African food

everthing is so delicious from the rice and meat to the traditional Ethiopian cuisine and portion sizes are huge ma'sha'Allah.

I was really excited to be here and called Njeri hoping there it is not full .She was amazing and her service was exceptional .I would definitely be back .

Eating at Sheger restaurant felt like a trip back home after so long! The flavors, the aroma, and the warmth of the food brought back so many memories. Every bite was comforting, authentic, and absolutely delicious.

Unfortunately after a lovely front of house staff, something was wrong with chicken. Not sure if it was over cooked, or grilled for too long, but their was alot of black grill charcoal left on our all of our foods ... The taste wasnt that good...

Fezan top waiter great service . gave us good suggestions as it was our first time here food came quick and was bang on

Koshery very good… super!!! 🤩 Passing by by chance, I saw this place but it was closing (actually closed, the girls inside were cleaning); the girl, very kind, prepared the take-away dish for me anyway. She could not have done it, but she did it. Thank you!!!

Love the food in this place, but the reason only giving 2 stars is because , as advertised they are supposed to be open for breakfast from 09.30, i have called three times now around 9.30/10 and never anything ready!! When you travel some distance and take time from your working day , you expect services to be available as advertised!!

Fantastic food - freshly made and full of authentic flavour and spice. Options for vegetarians, vegans and omnivores. African beers too...and all served with good humour and a warm, relaxed atmosphere. It’s only small so best to book!

Went here for a saturday date after walking past many times. Booked for 9pm as only slot available. Ordered starters and mains. Starters took an hour to appear- chicken skewers awesome but flat bread dry and dreadful. Mains appeared about 30 mins later, some aspects great but peanut curry was so bland and pap with main was so dry!!! Won't bother again

I live outside of the U.K. most of the and I miss this place more than my parents. Gods honesty, the greatest food in the city, if not the country. Me and partner have been coming here for 5 years and will always continue to do so.

Authentic Ethiopian restaurant, both in the cuisine and in the decor and in all the customers we saw. Very good food, it takes a bit of skill to eat it without cutlery. Very nice girl.

Don't recommend this place. The food was very basic and the atmosphere was very pressuring. They hosted a "dinner with 50 Cent" there, but in reality they scammed people (and me) by saying that the online payment didn't go through and asked to pay at the door. They took £1000 online and £1000 at the door but didn't refund the online payment. They didn't provide any proof or receipts, so basically just scammed many people there and disappeared with the money.

Fantastic, amazing service food was lovely. Staff were friendly and most welcoming. 6 of us ate here all ordered different things all was served beautifully.

Great little place and good fun.
